Lisa did my service and she was really knowledgeable about hair and gave me good advice on how to get my hair healthy again. I also had the chance to meet the owner who was really sweet and has so much in store for the future of her shop! The service itself was so relaxing, you lay in this spaceship looking bed that gives your body a massage while the tech works on your head! I got the hair and face treatment. I kid you not, it is now the next day and my face has never felt softer and smoother. After your wash and facial, they blow dry your hair while giving you a soothing glass of herbal tea and a delicious mini scone! I had such an amazing time, I signed up for a membership on the spot! As a mom to young kids, I've learned that "me time" is sooooo important for mental and physical health, and The Head Ritual is the perfect place to spend that time!! My scalp treatment went beyond my expectations. I was paired with Theresa who was so friendly and informative! She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. We started with the scalp analysis and I was surprised how rough it looked! Theresa asked me various questions and it turns out I've been using the type of shampoo that is making it worse. Once she explained it, everything was lining up and made sense. The service its self was amazing, so relaxing! I was in the communal room where they had beds that massage you your body, warm blankets, and weighted blankets on top of that. After the service Theresa dried my hair and imaged my scalp again and the difference was great! I absolutely loved my Head Ritual experience! I received this as a gift from friends and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The location looks fairly unassuming from the outside, but once you walk in, it's beautiful, elegant, and has a wonderful spa-like atmosphere. My experience started with a scalp analysis, where my specialist explained what she noticed and gave me some recommendations. Then I changed into a robe and moved to a private treatment area. What I really loved is that this is so much more than just a scalp treatment. You lie on a massage bed with your legs elevated, covered with a cozy blanket and a light weighted mat that makes you feel comfortably wrapped and relaxed. The headrest is also very well designed -- it keeps the water from running down your neck, which I really appreciated. For over an hour, my specialist was constantly doing something: massaging my scalp, using warm stones around my hairline, applying serum section by section and massaging it in, brushing my scalp, offering different oils to smell, massaging my temples and face, washing my hair, applying conditioner, and rinsing everything out. Almost every step was combined with some kind of massage or pressure-point technique, so there was never a moment when I was just lying there waiting for a product to work. At the end, we sat down for tea and a little cookie, she checked my scalp again, answered all my questions, and then dried and styled my hair. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing and felt very luxurious without being over the top. I found the head ritual on Yelp and decided to take my grandmother and my mother. We got there and parked across the street. There was road parking. We then walked into a very clean very calm lobby area and were greeted by the front desk, they offered us tea or water and then we all three met with A technician and each of us got a rundown all about our scalp, my technician I believe her name was Hannah was the best. She was very thorough beginning to end. They took us to the back room where the magic happens. I'm not sure how long the wash actually was but it was one of the most relaxing things I've ever experienced. Hannah (I hope I'm getting the name right) was literally the best.
