Yanin was just AMAZING. I came in with a disastrous hair from another salon that did not understand what I wanted at all despite the references I showed, and since the first consultation with Yanin I felt like she knew and understood exactly what I was looking for and how to achieve it. She was very nice, great vibes, and delivered the best hair I could've ever imagined. She exceeded my expectations. Would 100% recommend working with her. read more

I'm very particular about how my hair is cut, so finding the right stylist has always been important to me. I tried a few salons in Walnut Creek but wasn't happy with the results. I've been going to Limon for a few years now, ever since I first gave them a try. The stylists are consistently great at haircuts--not just coloring or curling--which is hard to find. The salon is always clean, welcoming, and has a relaxing atmosphere. They also offer a variety of drinks, including mimosas, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable! read more

I've been Daniel's client for a few years now and he never disappoints. He knows my hair so well and always gets the right color I ask for, especially since I've been experimenting with more fun colors lately! I always get compliments on my color when I go out! Skyler has cut my hair the past couple of appointments as Daisy always ends up getting booked, but Skyler has been awesome! She layers my hair beautifully and has nailed every style I've asked for - I always feel so rejuvenated afterward! I highly recommend Daniel, Skyler, and Daisy! read more

Finding a hairstylist you completely trust is rare, and Danny is exactly that person for me. As someone with very long, thick hair, I've had many stylists over the years who complained about how much hair I have or seemed intimidated by it, but Danny has never made me feel that way. Every time I see him, he blends my balayage beautifully and seamlessly. He never rushes the process and always takes the time to make sure my hair turns out exactly the way I envision it. What impresses me most is how well his work grows out. Months later, my hair still looks amazing, and I don't always feel like I urgently need a touch-up because the blend is that good! Beyond his talent, Danny genuinely cares about the health of my hair and always takes the time to make sure I leave feeling confident and happy with the results. He even provides honest recommendations that prioritize the long-term health of my hair. If you're looking for someone who's skilled and consistently delivers beautiful results, Danny is the one! read more

My stylist Glory was amazing. Super friendly and very detailed. She made sure I got the haircut I wanted. Highly recommend

This salon charges excessive amounts of money for basic (and not very well done) highlights which they call "blonding". I ended up paying over $700+ for highlights on fine, long *short* bob hair. I was not told this would be the price at any point. It was nothing like the inspo photo. You have to sign a bunch of documents so they can charge you whatever they want without notice and the whole experience was not it. Would NOT recommend. read more

I've been seeing Glory for 2 years now and she knocks it out of the park every time! Even when I am not sure with what I want, she uses her expertise to give me options on what we can do with my hair. I have been seeing her for full blonding services and my hair has remained bright and healthy. She's also helped me with my recent switch to transition to a darker blonde as well. No matter what I come in for, I always leave with exactly what I had in mind read more

Wanted to update & give credit where it's due. I've been seeing Tiffany for about 4 visits now and she is truly phenomenal. My hair looks incredibly high-end, c-suite level perfection every single time. Even after over a year of blonding, the condition of my hair remains excellent, which says everything about her skill. She's such a darling too -- I always tell her I have a total mom crush on her. She's simply magnificent and exactly who you want trusting your hair (and your time) with!! read more

I waited to write this review until I had data. I don't like writing bad reviews, but after what I have been through with my hair, my goal is to help people that are selective like me to avoid disaster. About three years ago a stylist at another salon bleached me blonde from à misunderstanding. It destroyed my very long fine curly hair. To this day I am still growing it out. I took a long time to find a stylist I could trust again. That stylist used to work at Limon. She was extremely patient with me. She wanted to do right by me. She was even willing to learn new things from me. We were a team. I hated finding parking and Limon's prices, but I was willing to deal with this for a stylist I could trust. Then one day during my appointment my stylist got a call from her young daughter's school that she needed to be picked up. She had to cancel our appointment. As a mom I was totally understanding. I booked another appointment and got a message warning me that if I missed the appointment I would be charged in full. Ironic! Anyways, the salon later informed me that my stylist had been fired. I don't know if she was fired for having to leave during our appointment, but at this point I was desperate to get my hair done. So they set me up with a stylist named Yanin. I was very explicit about what I wanted when talking to Yabin. Instead of us coming to a plan, we went in circles for 90 minutes. She explained that my previous stylist had LIED to me and used a red color that wasn't removeable. And that to lift my hair she would need to bleach over my red instead of trying to remove it. She pressured me to just lift to level 8/9 and we went I circles, me finally agreeing to two test strips, which she assured me was a 10 volume developer. I am SO glad I didn't allow her to do my whole head! She overlapped my old highlights and sure enough my hair was bright orange because of the old red she insisted wouldn't come out. I went home and used a gentle sulfur based remover and guess what? My old stylist (the one they fired) was NOT lying to me at all! Not only that, but the test strips Yabin was supposed to be doing was using a 20 developer! I know because I took a photo of her notes. All the things we talked about doing in advance: she didn't actually do any of it. She left the developer on too long also. Now, I have nothing against Yanin. What I have since come to see about this salon is that they don't mention their stylists years of experience or certifications for a reason. And that reason is that they hire stylists with very little experience considering the pricing the salon charges, and then pressure them to do whatever is most profitable for their bottom line. Doing my hair the right way required time and a slower developer; not compatible with their business model. I have also Come to find out this salon had recently fired many stylists and has a toxic work environment. I will never go to a big expensive salon like this again. I can afford to; I like the ambiance. But I came to realize time and time again that good stylists don't want to work on salary and they don't charge for consultations for a reason. read more

I needed a haircut for my friend's wedding, and Glory did a phenomenal job! I told Glory that I wanted to add some texture and shape to my hair, and she did exactly that, and helped advise on what kind of layers I should get. I'm so happy with the layers she gave me, and I felt fabulous coming out of the salon. Glory was a great listener, kind, and so easy to talk to! As a first time client at the salon, she also gave me a free hair treatment. I love the overall vibe of the salon. It's incredibly clean, well designed, and well decorated, with lots of space. I also appreciate being offered a drink at check-in. I'm looking forward to booking Glory again for future haircuts! read more

Go see Glory at Limon Salon, you won't regret it! She completely rescued my hair years ago after a bad highlight experience with another stylist, and I've trusted her ever since. She really listens to what you want, while also guiding you with her expertise to make sure you get the best result. She's talented across the board, but her work with blonde highlights is truly next level. My color always looks natural, bright, and beautifully blended. My daughter has her senior portrait tomorrow and has been desperate to regain her blond locks long lost after the deep cherry red trend that left her with ginger tines she did not love She went for a consult , a clear price was shared with her. I booked a 10:30 AM appointment at Limon in Walnut Creek for my mom. About 10 minutes before the appointment, I received a call saying they were running late and that my mom would have to wait another 15-30 minutes. She had already arrived at the salon at that point and had another important appointment at 12:30 PM, so timing was critical. My mom does not speak fluent English, but she came prepared with a reference photo and used Google Translate to clearly explain how she wanted her haircut. The stylist confirmed that she understood and even asked additional questions about her parting and the style before beginning. However, my mom immediately noticed that the stylist seemed hesitant while cutting her hair. Just to make sure there was no misunderstanding, she showed the reference picture again. The stylist continued cutting the back of her hair, but then suddenly stopped and walked away. It turned out that the stylist had realized she could not complete the haircut because she specializes in curly hair and, according to her, my mom's hair was too thick for her level of experience to do the requested pixie cut. Another senior stylist eventually stepped in and took over the appointment. I do appreciate the senior stylist Vika for stepping in and completing the haircut, but by that point, a significant amount of time had already been lost. Because the appointment took much longer than planned, my mom ended up missing her next appointment at 12:30 PM. To make matters worse, after the senior stylist took over, the receptionist informed my mom that she now owed additional money because the senior stylist's service was more expensive than the original stylist's. The senior stylist also told my mom to come back in a few weeks so she could fix a section of the haircut that the first stylist had started. I won't name the original stylist, as I'm sure the salon will know exactly which appointment I'm referring to. But overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. My mom had to deal with a delayed start, a stylist who apparently wasn't equipped to perform the requested haircut, a second stylist taking over, a much longer appointment, a missed appointment afterward, additional charges, and ultimately a haircut that apparently still needs to be corrected. The entire experience and, honestly, my mom's whole day was ruined. She lost an important appointment because of the salon's delay, had to sit through a stressful and confusing haircut experience. This should have been determined before touching her hair. Never in a million years would I recommend Limon based on this experience, and will definitely not be returning. read more

I got a curly cut with Daisy, and I honestly didn't think my curls could ever look this good! The results exceeded my expectations. They also took the time to educate me on how to care for and style my curls at home, so I feel confident I can recreate the look myself. Highly recommend! read more

Very Disappointing experience as a new client !! I paid $160 + tip in advancefor a root touch -up, but the stylish repeatedly tried to convince me to add addional treatments instead of addresing the service I had booked. I clearly explained several times that I did not want the same brassy redish color ( from heat, sun, salty water in the summer ) and asked to see the color samples several times but she did not provided until the end , when I also requested to see the manager. Ultimately the stylish refused to do my roots unless I pick another red & brassy color from the sample, and then directed me to make another appointment with someone else, which was also the manager suggestion. I had later on my roots done at another salon that same afternoon without any issues, and was very happy with the results. I found the repeated pressure to purchase addional services and the refusal to provide the service ,I had already paid for particularly disappointing. As I new client I purchased a pricey gift card in the past from the salon and had even recommended it to someone else. After this experience however, I no longer felt confortable purchasing nanother gift card or continue as customer. I belive customers should be able to book and pay for a service without feeling pressured into purchasing additional treatments. I'm sharing this my experience so that others can make an informed decision. Unfortunally I will not be returning or recommending the salon on this experience. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but this one is well deserved. I hadn't colored my hair in over two years. I had been growing everything out and maintaining it with toner only because I was honestly scared to trust someone with my hair again after I moved away from my previous stylist. I moved to Walnut Creek in July 2025 and spent months looking through Instagram pages and stylist portfolios, but nothing really clicked for me. Then I went on a hike with a friend and immediately noticed how good her hair looked. Naturally, I asked who did it, and she sent me to Daniel. Before booking, I met with Daniel for a consultation. We talked through all of my options, what would realistically work with my hair history, maintenance, budget, and long-term goals. I never felt rushed or talked into something I didn't want. Daniel actually listened. What I appreciated most was that Daniel didn't just ask what color I wanted--we talked about what would work best for me. Since I've been spending more time outside and getting a little more tan lately, we landed on a dimensional brunette beige balayage that brightened my hair without taking me too blonde. We also talked about eventually cooling the color down later in the year, so it felt like there was an actual plan instead of just a one-time appointment. The end result was exactly what I was hoping for. My hair still feels natural and like myself, just better. The color has so much dimension and movement, and the transition from my natural growth to the lighter pieces is incredibly blended. Looking at my before photo compared to now, it's hard to believe it's the same hair. The salon itself was also great. Everything was clean, organized, and professional. I was offered an iced tea, everyone was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt relaxed without being pretentious. Daniel also explained the products he used, how to care for the color, and what I should be doing between appointments to keep my hair healthy. And as someone who secretly loves a good before-and-after moment, the transformation reel was such a fun touch. Finding a stylist you trust can feel impossible, especially after moving to a new city. It took me almost a year in Walnut Creek to find someone I felt confident booking with, and I'm so glad I found Daniel. If you're looking for someone who will actually listen, explain your options, and create color that feels personalized instead of trendy for the sake of being trendy, I'd absolutely recommend him. read more

I have seen Kelsey twice in 1 year and she is absolutely amazing. First time I did a curly cut from her, and I love that this salon also tells you WHAT they are doing and WHY. So I was able to get the education behind the procedure, and the best way to care for my hair after! + i cut my hair up to my shoulders (remember this). Fast forward one year later, I came back to Kelsey for a silk press. Once again, got education behind the product she was using and the result was flawless. + the education and product recs she gave me from my first visit really paid off because when we straightened my hair, it was all the way down my back!!! crazy hair growth for a year. Don't let the high-ass cost turn you away. My service was $225 BUT I got a mimosa, the best shampooing of my life, great conversation, and amazing SALON QUALITY HAIR that is still perfect 2 days later. Lastly, I LOVE the team work aspect. For someone who has super thick hair, it would have been a process for her to do everything by herself. BUT instead of sitting around and relaxing between his appointments, Chris jumped in and helped blow dry + flat iron my hair! The teamwork was unmatched and I was so impressed. Make that investment. Your hair and your day will thank you. read more

Limón Salon has a great vibe and one of my favorite stylists I have been to. If you are looking for someone to do your cut, color, highlights or all of the above, look no further than Glory! She is SO talented at what she does, and I have been incredibly happy every time I leave her chair. Fresh cut and color with Glory is always the highlight of my month. Glory takes the time to listen to what you want to achieve with your color and gives you good, honest advice about what it will take to get there. She has done a great job when I had long or short styles. She is also quick and efficient at what she does, which is another plus for me as a busy mom who wants to treat herself to beautiful hair every few months, but only has limited time to do so. My stylist, Daniel, has an infectious bubbly personality that immediately gravitates you. My session was THE most fun and laugh-inducing service I've had in a while and I feel that more stylists should create a bond like this with their clients. This wasn't the only reason that initiated my decision to book with him. I had severe trust issues when it comes to stylists for their lack of understanding of Asian hair. It has been 5 years since my last session with someone else at a reputable luxury salon. I never got the results I was promised, came back home with breakage, and had streaks of brass blonde that wasn't toned -- these are money grabbing industry stylists. Thank the Lord that He sent Daniel my way because he is absolutely unlike them. He gave me full transparency on how we can accomplish a brunette color without compromising the health and structure of my hair. He has incredible knowledge towards products, hair types, hair density, etc. (not my field). Daniel is also a prompt communicator! Any questions I have or inspo photos, I send his way and receive a response within 2-3 hours. He has my confidence :) read more

. I never leave reviews like this, but I'm genuinely devastated by the haircut I received. I went in with healthy, long hair and clear references, and walked out with a choppy, disconnected, uneven mess that looks nothing like what I asked for. Before the cut, the stylist spent over 30 minutes consulting with me. I showed her detailed pictures of what I wanted soft, long, slightly disconnected front layers with no harsh lines. I was explicit that I did not want anything choppy. She reassured me repeatedly that she understood. After the first cut, my hair actually looked decent. All I asked for was a slightly shorter version of what she had just done. That's when things went downhill fast. While telling me a story about how she once cut off too much of another client's hair because she was distracted talking she proceeded to do exactly that. Huge chunks started falling. There is no saving it except to grow it out or get extensions. I've attached multiple photos so others can see what I mean. This isn't just "not what I wanted" it's objectively a bad haircut with no internal logic, blending, or structure. When she was done, I was in a rush to leave bc it had been 2 hours and I needed to lay the meter and didn't fully grasp the damage yet. I noticed there was a huge pile of hair on the floor, and my head felt much lighter. But because I trusted her, I didn't question it. I didn't realize what had happened until I got in my car and started playing around with my hair. I cried the entire way home. I think it was part heartbreak, part utter disbelief that I'd just spent $140 plus tip on a haircut that was completely wrecked. I was honestly in denial. I'm posting this so others don't experience the same thing. read more

The location of Limon Salon is perfectly nestled on a busy street but don't worry there's parking on the street and a garage right there on the corner of Locust, it's about a minute walk to the salon from there.
