Got my haircut by Billy. He wore cooking gloves to cut my hair. I thought to myself why'd he wear gloves on my hair but not on the previous persons hair. He then tells me my hair was greasy which I didn't think it was at all since it was just washed prior to going in for the cut. I am so happy I found Rever. It is in a weird shopping mall area with limited parking but more in the back of Habit Burger area. I saw great reviews online of Billy that knows Asian hair texture. My hair is in dire need of repair and TLC ever since I moved to California. I swear something is in this damn water that my hair so prone to split ends! Anyways, I got my haircut and Brazilian Blowout split end treatment and my hair looks so shiny and healthy afterwards! I was really impressed. They took their time curling my hair afterwards too. Billy Ho (the owner of Rever Hair Salon) Sexually assaulted me on July 24th, 2022. I had an appointment booked for 2:45 that day with Billy for a cut and color. I had seen Billy only two times before this incident. While getting back into the chair after having the dye washed from my hair, I noticed that I was the last customer in the salon and the only other employee besides Billy was leaving. Which left me alone with him. After my cut, Billy stood behind my chair and grabbed and squeezed both of my breasts. He did this over and over until I quickly stood up. I did not know if he was going to rape me. I did not know if he would try to physically hurt me. I did not know if anyone would hear me scream. So I tried to play it off, I immediately paid him and left. I have filed a police report with the Walnut Creek Police Department, but would also like to warn others. Please be weary of Billy the owner of Rever Salon, he is a predator and should not be allowed to operate his business and prey on women. read more

my daughter got the japanese straightening treatment it took 5 hrs and it was very expensive $400! My daughter is spanish and white mixed child and has very puffy thick curly hair slight S curl. I hope it last as long as they say her hair is so soft stick straight and no poof! if this works I would consider doing this again. it's very tiring for her to fix her hair often and any humidity or sweat will frizz a regular blow out. Waste of time. Don't bother. They couldn't even get reservations right. Sequence of events: 1. Called on Friday about a cut and color appointment. 2. Woman confirmed 4pm availability. 3. I called back later to say I just want the color, not the cut, because my OG small business hair cutter was able to squeeze me in. 4. Woman confirmed that was fine and to call Saturday morning if plans change as coloring takes a long time and to free up appointments if I cannot make it. 100% fair and understandable, given we're all coming out of a pandemic with shags and roots a-showing. 5. Saturday AM comes around, I didn't call to change my appointment. Fully planned on showing up. 6. Showed up in Saturday afternoon at 4pm, only to be told at 4:20pm that they had booked someone else because I didn't call to confirm. 7. Original woman apologized for the misunderstanding but ON TOP OF IT, asked me to wait until 5pm for Monique to work on me, only to hear directly from Monique that she won't be done until 5:30pm -- so I'd need to wait a full hour and a half since they're running that behind. Not only was Monique rude and unapologetic, they lied about how long I'd have to wait. If you can't book appointments and understand customer service, what can you do. What a great experience with a great haircut! I have not had my cut in probably a year, so I was extremely overdue for a cut and style. Billy and Monica were both very welcoming, offering me coffee, tea, or water. I had my haircut by Monica, and she is wonderful! I enjoyed a nice shampoo with a massage and nice conversation. What I really appreciated about Monica is that she actually asked me about my hair - do I care about length (yes, I like my hair long); how often do I blow-dry (once in a while for work); do I use product (styling cream). I felt that she really tried to understand what would work well with my day to day life. I also appreciated that she took the time to explain to me exactly what she was doing and why she was cutting my hair a certain way. She also showed me how to style my hair, because honestly, I really have no clue. Monica said we would take things slowly with no drastic changes, and no pressure on styling. And she really followed through! My hair is still long, but looks so much better than when I walked in. It has some shape, and is easy to style.
