Highly recommend Katya especially for blowouts and root touch up! She did my recent root touch up. I have (natural) black hair and being in my late 30s, I have some grays. I usually go 3 months between root touch up because I don't have a ton of grays yet; that is how long it takes for the amount of gray I have to "bother" me. With Katya it was the first time I couldn't find even a single gray hair after the root touch up! Usually I find at least a few hairs that got missed, so I was really amazed she covered every single gray! On black hair it's easy to see if any grays are missed so I was like WOW, Katya did the best job ever! She will be my go-to stylist for my root touch ups now! And I think I will go more often like every 8 weeks at least because it really is a nice confidence boost to have your roots freshly done! Katya is also just so pleasant to be around, she is so kind and has a lovely personality. I also have the unlimited blowout membership which is seriously the best deal in town! I don't need to wash my own hair anymore! I usually get a blowout twice a week, sometimes 3 times. Amazing if your schedule allows you to be in the salon often, especially for women who are busy with their careers. I can work on my laptop while getting my hair blow dried and curled! Sometimes two girls will be blow drying my hair at the same time while I'm working - major boss babe vibes! LOL. The blowout membership is only for level 2 and below stylists though, which Katya has graduated beyond. But many of the other girls do great blowouts too. I will leave a more detailed review later about the salon but just wanted to shoutout Katya, if you are looking for root touch up perfection, she's your gal! I've been searching for a new hairstylist for about 2 years with no luck. I was at Stem Salon and then Lìmon, and both times my stylists ended up retiring... so the search continued. Then I found Jaiden at Flowers Hair Salon and OMG. She is a hair god. I'm very picky about my hair, especially my blonde, and it's been a long time since someone actually got it right. I am extremely traumatized by my experience at this salon. Asked for blonde and left with falling out, damaged, gray hair. I booked a full highlight with confidence after seeing photos on their website. In fact, I used one of their own pictures as my reference. What I received was nothing close. Throughout the appointment, I had many different people working on my hair with what seemed like zero communication. Camille and Emily were doing my highlights while Valeria was putting brown dye on the wrong sections of my hair. Once I got home, I realized multiple sections were completely missed. Camille told me the toner would be on for 10 minutes. It ended up sitting for over 20 before Emily finally rinsed it out. I voiced my frustration with the color, and Emily attempted to fix it with color remover and another toner, but it didn't work. I could hear her on the phone in the back asking someone what to do. A total lack of professionalism. The owner, Ashley, explained that my hair was gray because the stylists used the wrong toner TWICE. Despite this nightmare, Ashley still charged me for the service. She later messaged offering a complimentary correction, but never responded when I followed up on Instagram. I'm not surprised. I spent almost nine hours in that chair only to walk out with fried, patchy, awful. I want my money back. I would never recommend this salon. Also, went to a different salon to attempt to fix it and they recommended not touching my hair for at least a year bc of how much damage they did to it. My hair was LITERALLY falling out. read more

Made a last minute appointment and was pleased that they were able to accommodate me for a two process hair dye and haircut. When I arrived I was greeted quickly and the girl who did my hair was very sweet. She tired, I know she did, but unfortunately her lack of experience with hair that is thinning and affected by perimenopause really showed. When I called the salon, I asked for someone who was highly experienced and when I arrived, I was paired with someone who may do a wonderful job with healthy and vibrant hair, but just frankly did not know how to work with hair like mine. I was very specific in stating that I wanted my grays to be blended so I was looking for highlights and low lights and I walked out paying $375 with tip and basically looking the same as when I walked in. I looked no different. You could still see all of my grays and they were not blended at all. The very next morning I called back and was paired with the owner of the salon. she was very nice and understanding and did a wonderful job in repairing my hair. I walked out feeling beautiful and refreshed, and the color looked great temporarily. Just 10 days later, my grays were back. The color had completely faded, and I looked the same as I did that day when I walked into the salon. again, I paid $375. I also bought product which was another $180. So overall this experience cost me about $500 and just two weeks later I'm looking the same as I did the day I walked in. If you have healthy hair and you don't have grays and you want to pay top dollar then this is the place for you. If you're a perimenopausal woman who is struggling with hair loss and hair texture change, and you're looking to walk out of their feeling beautiful and maintaining that look for more than two weeks then this is probably not the place for you. Very nice people, nice salon, but the products they use are not meant to maintain the color and vibrancy for the 6 to 8 weeks that they indicated. **response to questions from Ashley- yes, once with the brunette shampoo I purchased. Really wanted to love this place since the staff were really nice. However, this place ruined my hair beyond fixing/repair. I usually go to a different salon but decided to give this one a try. The lady who cut my hair clearly had no idea what she was doing and didn't follow through with what I asked for. She was nice but not knowledgeable on how to work with different hair textures and ended up ruining my previous layers from the other salon I usually go to. I came in to trim off split ends and reshape my hair. She took shears to my hair and slid the blade down my hair which salon professionals have always told me to avoid. This method causes extreme damage and frizz to thick and wavy hair such as mine and she didn't even ask me before doing it. I guided her many times on how to cut my hair and she insisted that my hair would look fine after curling it. I shouldn't have to curl my hair every day just to hide the bad haircut.. I told her that the layers she cut made my hair even more puffy even though I had already warned her that layering it a certain way usually makes my hair puff out. I showed her photos of the type of layers that work with my hair and she didn't follow it. She curled my hair at the end of the session to hide the damaged ends and choppiness. I pay around this same price to get my hair cut by professionals at a salon in Walnut Creek downtown (which includes shampoo+ blow dry) so I'm extremely upset with how this one turned out after wanting to try out and support a new salon. Really disappointed that I'll need to wait for my hair to grow out to fix this mess. read more
