Dave Daniels should be avoided. He replaced a walk through garage door and changed the direction the door opens without consulting me. The threshold was changed and a trip hazard was created. The door now opens into the water heater in the garage and he gave me no remedy. I believe he had this door sitting around and used this as an opportunity to get rid of it rather than replacing with the type of door the builder used. When approached about it he just wanted his money and got very angry. He has a million excuses. He questioned my integrity when I told him I don't want to pay until the job fixed correctly. He charges a deposit more than the 10 percent allowed by law and he questions others integrity. I paid but will not use this unethical company again Now, we see Dave is a liar as well with his comments. He was paid. I was not refunded for the door that his repair has cost me more money. I have to get a new door. So please tell me again how great you are? My wife is not happy with your decisions on the door she is just intimidated by your attitude to say anything. Bully I guess to women! I paid for the door because money was very important to Dave ( as all of us) and said I would trust him to come back and fix the trim around the door that had a huge gap. That he would fix the trip hazard threshold plate and find a solution to stop the door from hitting my water heater cause more expensive damage. None of that is done but he has his money. read more

I just had an inspection for termites and this guy Richard was trying to charge for fungus removal and a ton of other repairs to the tune of $6,800. Gtfoh! I worked in construction and he's talking about $200 worth of material. So he's charging me $6,600 of labor? Like I said, I worked in Construction and can get the pertinent work done to close thise home sale for less that $1,000. DO NOT TRUST THIS RICHARD CAT!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new bathroom! I was long overdue for a remodel. I have an older home with small bathrooms, that lead to design challenges & surprises. Dave & team were awesome! I had a vision & they provided guidance with that in mind. My bathroom was a full demo almost down to the studs. We replaced a small bathroom window that was lined with outdated glass brick with a new larger functional window. We added a recessed shower niche & recessed mirrored medicine cabinet. We even added a Bluetooth speaker/bathroom fan combo. I had no idea these existed! I can listen to music while taking a bubble bath! There were a few minor change orders, which I expected because I have an older home. The change orders were expected, fair, and gave me peace of mind. For example, we added a plumbing access panel into an adjacent guest room wall to access the bathroom plumbing on the other side. It was cost-effective and practical. Dave kept my budget in mind as if it was his own. My bathroom was completed this past spring. I just had Dave back last week to replace the window in my 2nd bathroom. It is a night & day difference and I am so happy. I look forward to having Dave and team back in 2026 to fully remodel the 2nd bathroom. I'm also looking at replacing French doors with a slider. I am a happy repeat customer! Also, Dave gets 10 out of 10 for communication! Lastly, I work from home and felt very comfortable having the entire team here by myself. I had considerable exterior damage to the wood on my home due to termites. While I chose not to tent at this time, I did need considerable wood removed, replaced and primed/painted. Dave and his team were highly responsive, went out of their way to make sure the wood to be used was great quality, communicated services, timing and duration - and delivered EXCELLENT results. There was NO CLEANUP required of me after the job was complete. A personal note - Dave and team had to replace the beams holding up my second floor deck. I had a beautiful Mandavilla plant that had grown up one beam. It was really beautiful and had taken me 15 years to grow. I don't know how they did it but Dave and team replaced the beams without damaging this beautiful cascade of flowers. R Solution Termite & Construction - Replaced major beams and saved my Mandavilla! - Pest Control Near Me - Vista, California

On May 22nd, 2020, Richard LaPlante came out and conducted a termite inspection for a home refinance. His inspection revealed approximately 8 places around the perimeter where a small amount of dry-rot was found. Richard proceeded to tell us he would give us a quote to fix the troubled areas, which I originally found a little odd but I told him to go ahead and give us a quote. The quote to fix everything was $4500.00. We reached out to him through an email afterwards to ask a few questions about the work and did not receive an answer. So, we decided to use an independent contractor and per THE INSPECTION REPORT, we had all the problems areas fixed. The total cost was under $1000.00. Richard came out to "re-inspect" and immediately started to rudely question the work that was done. He walked the perimeter of the house and started to point things out that were not on his original report. Richard's response was, "Well, I noted them on a separate report for my guys to do the work." So Richard essentially made a separate report for his workers and tried to harvest the work for him and his company from this simple inspection. When questioned about this seemingly unethical practice, Richard began to stammer and did not have an explanation. We told him we had lost trust in him and his company and to kindly leave. We contacted the refinance company and stated they would no longer use R-Solution. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Dishonest, deceitful and all around unethical business practices. read more

Just in: Now that the termite tent has been removed a lot of the outdoor hanging lights do not work anymore. They must've fallen during the tenting because they were all working properly before the tent was installed. We have photographs to show the original operating condiiton.  In addition the string of lights were not put back correctly originally it was a "V" shape. Please let me know if you want to send someone back out to fix this or if we should submit a bill. My buyers move in tomorrow! Thank you. *Waiting for response from owner Dave. I called Richard LaPlante as my realtor recommended him. There are a lot of Yelp reviews for this co. that I agree with. I had a couple of questions after I got my invoice and report for 4K to correct the termite damage. No one called me back either. I had a shorten amount of time in escrow. How does this place stay in business. They can't expect to have a customer get an estimate for 4K and not have questions, especially when they have never spoken to the inspector. STAY AWAY! Richard from R-Solution did termite treatment and dry rot work on my house. A few months after treatment, I found out that the work was not done properly. Other contractors said they did cheap work. They claim to have a one-year warranty but they don't honor it. Richard was rude and refused to repair his cheap work. 0 stars. read more

One year after treatment, I had a different pest company come in to inspect and give a second opinion on work done. They found new termite damage in all the previously treated areas. Had a great experience when we were buying our new house. Fast service, it was a middle of the road quote and it was so convenient to have them do the repairs the termites caused.
