Food was delicious! I had the tritip sandwich and brisket. My wife had a burger which was really good. My kids had the chicken tenders which were a huge disappointment. They don't like ketchup or sauce so there was no way of trying to give them flavor. I get it, kid menus are rarely anything to rave about but these were just very bland. Always having to travel out of town for decent food, I decided to try R+Q I ordered the Cheeseburger with fries oh my, it was hearty in size and the best burger Ive had in a very long time, the fries we extra special as well I encourage you to try it! Just a heads up the dining area is in the showroom of Bunnin Chevy, it didn't matter too me after the first bite of food The service was good as well. This place is fantastic!! Went there today for lunch and had their BBQ'd Brisket sandwich.. it was unbelievably delicious!! They slow cook the meat in a smoker outside the place for 9 or 10 hours. I've never had BBQ's this good anywhere, and I've been to many states that are famous for it. The potato salad was homemade with fresh cooked bacon pieces sprinkled on top, and their onion rings were delicious. Fillmore got very lucky getting this place. The location is super cool being inside the Chevy dealership, where you dine surrounded by classic cars parked just feet from the tables. Super nice owners and staff also. Do yourself favor and try it. I'll be going back often to try some of the other great choices they have on the menu.. if I can bring myself to not just order the BBQ'd brisket every time. read more

I've eaten there three times. Here's my advice to you. Make sure your meat is not too salty, I'm talking about the ground beef. It was fine until we got to the center, so I'm guessing it's a blending issue with the seasonings since you ground your own meat. Also, make sure you stay consistent with the preparation of your food. You started out well, stay that way and you'll be successful in Fillmore. Sunday 10am. Walked in. Sat down .. waited 20min and watched 3 other tables get help that came in after we did. And still not even a drink order was taken. So we decided to leave. One of the worst experiences we had ina while. The waitress walked by us multiple times and no one even asked if we had been helped. I know they​ saw us.. but helped other that came in after us and never even bothered to ask of we had been helped. If it was just busy. There were empty tables. No worries. But to sit and have other tables helped that came in after we did. And not a single employee asked if we had been helped. We got up and walked out. Food is great here, but today the service was not. Went here for mother's day, way better than iHOP! The menu is simple, you also don't have to guess the prices because they're right next to every item on the menu. On the tables they have the list of drinks you can order which is awesome! Serving sizes are VERY WORTH IT! Pancakes are delicious and fluffy. Before our excursion to Otto & Sons Nursery's annual Rose Days in Fillmore, Ca. nineteen adventurous Savvy Seniors boarded our Calabasas City Shuttle headed for R & Q Kitchen, a highly recommended, family owned, Texas inspired BBQ restaurant tucked inside the Bunnin Chevrolet dealership...what a hoot! After speaking with Randy and Ashlyn, R & Q's owners, we knew we were in for something special. We were surrounded by vintage 1950's and 1960's cars which we admired while waiting for our orders. The aroma of smoked meat was making us hungry and we were not disappointed. Breakfast was incredibly delicious, from brisket omelettes to homemade biscuits warm from the oven.
