We just moved here 3 weeks ago so have been having a blast trying all the food! By far, this is the most unique of the Mexican restaurants. Very much hooked on "ahogada"! My quesadilla and my husband's torta were splendid. The servers were very attentive and the Halloween ambiance very nice as well. Next time we'll come later for the DJ....

Menudo! My husband says "the broth is delicious ".

We've just started! Chips and salsa for the table. Salsa is mild, home made, yummmm! Chips are absolutely perfect! Can you tell I base my experience on the Chips? Def homemade! Crunchy, light and not greasy. I had 2 carne asada soft tacos. Didn't have to add sauce or any other flavorings, yummy! My husband grew up with his mom making menudo. He says this is a close second. Went down fast!

Found out a local favorite closed, I grabbed the Yelp! machine and did a quick search for something new. I found this spot. Located on the corner down the main drag in Fillmore (where the sushi place used to be), I decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the team there. I bellied up to the bar for an order to go. They informed me about their Happy Hour specials, so of course I said "Hell yeah!" Grabbed their margarita and served some chips and salsa. The salsa was warm and sooooo delicious. Another guy snuck around and dropped off another salsa and backed away slowly saying, "Be careful...". Challenge accepted since I like hot stuff. Both salsa's were delicious and then the sneaky guy told me to mix them and damn if he wasn't right. So good! Then it was time to put in my to go order. The wife wanted something special, but I didn't see it on the menu. She was not feeling well and this was her wish. They were nice enough to give it a shot. Very very kind and I hate to put it on here so everybody goes in there asking for something off menu, but I wanted to share how nice they were about it. Stick to the menu people, that's rude. I asked what their specialty was and he recommended the house fajitas. I agreed. Finished up the margarita and chips, you know how it is when someone puts chips and salsa in front of you, and grabbed the bag to go. Got home and opened up the bag and WOW, it was a lot of food and DELICIOUS! Wife was super happy after I told her the story and how the guy even burned himself making it (I told her it was the "secret spices" lol). The place has indoor and outdoor areas. The back area looks huge! The inside has about 8-10 tables and the place filled up while I was there, so it looks like other locals are discovering this spot too or I am just late to the party, which could also be the case. Highly recommend this place and I think I found my new local favorite!!! Thank you and your team for making this such an enjoyable experience and for serving up some delicious eats! I'll be back!

    Fajitas Mixtas

We absolutely love Los Altos. The Waiter Raul goes above and beyond each time and he is great with our 20 month old son. The margaritas are amazing, service goes beyond expectations and the food is unique to Jalisco and great each time. We have tried the fajitas, molcajete and shrimp appetizer and all have been great. We highly recommend this restaurant. The patio has a wonderful summer breeze and view of city hall.

Mixed Fajitas. Chicken, Steak, Shrimp! Authentic! Well seasoned. Freshly made!!

The service is always fast, friendly, and welcoming, and it's honestly one of the easiest restaurants in Fillmore to recommend with complete confidence to anyone visiting town. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The margaritas and micheladas are off the charts! generous pours and huge compared to the tiny drinks you get at so many other Mexican restaurants. The food is consistently great too. My personal favorite is the Pollo Tampiqueño, but their Molcajete, fajitas, albondigas, homemade tortillas are all amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the menu. Their signature seafood plates are absolutely worth trying. If you're anywhere near Fillmore, El Pescador is worth the drive. Family owned with great food, great people, great atmosphere, plenty of parking, and the kind of local restaurant that keeps people coming back.

Our waiter came over with menus and was very helpful with a few questions that we had. We ordered a Molcagete, which is a lot of food and can definitely be shared with 2-3 people. We also ordered a camarones costa azul plate. Everything was so delicious, but the molcagete was my favorite. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they hand-make their tortillas right there. I loved the warm, hand-made tortillas. I also had a spicy margarita, which was amazing. The restaurant had so much space, a bar area, and can definitely be a great place for large parties. I loved El Pescador, and I can't wait to go back and maybe try their lunch specials.

They have a parking lot in the back! Went in on a Saturday evening and it was really dead around 5pm! They have a full bar, massive margaritas that they will make Virgin if you ask. My dad had a few beers, I had the Jamaica with horchata in it (creamy, sweet, delicious!) their chips and salsa are also addictingly crunchy and satisfying. I loved their salsa, it has depth to it and I couldn't stop myself from eating it! I ordered the green enchiladas (one chicken and one cheese) they are gluten free. Served along side rice, beans, and sour cream. There was a lot of cheese and I couldn't finish it (just because it was so rich!) I took home the leftovers to eat the following day. The dish was fanatic, next time I could stick to the chicken enchiladas, there was plenty of cheese! The rice was cooked perfectly, the beans were a little runny. My dad had the chili rellanos and said they were good, but smaller in size than the last time he had been. He finished his plate! My side salad was nothing to write home about, small portion. Price was decent, $65 for 2 beers, one drink, 2 entrees and a side salad. The service... I feel bad saying this. One of the girls that served us moved very slowly.. she had only 2 other tables besides us that she was attending. It took her a long time to come back when we asked for drinks (I never got a refill) my dad waited 30 min for his second beer. The food came out of the kitchen at a decent speed but the server was taking her time. Another server there was quickly bussing tables, taking orders, and making sure everyone was tended to. If you're a server please look up and scan the room to know if someone needs something!! We couldn't flag her down and this is a small one room restaurant. She could use some training. Luckily the other girl helped give us our check, and took care of the rest. The restaurant itself is charming, cute and quant. I would come for margaritas with the girls. The paintings on the wall could use some improvement.

My wife and I were driving through Ventura County during a storm and decided to stop for lunch. On our way home, we came across Central Station--a Sports Bar and Grill--and honestly, what more could you ask for on a rainy day? The place opens at 11 a.m., and when we arrived, we were welcomed into a restaurant with outdoor seating, a decent-sized dining area, and a full bar. There were several TVs throughout, making it a great spot to watch sports while enjoying food and drinks. Once seated, our host Monique provided exceptional service. She got us seated right away, took our drink order promptly, and gave us plenty of time to review their massive menu--which, by the way, made it very hard to choose. From breakfast burritos and salads to tri-tip sandwiches, wings, pizza, sampler platters, grilled chicken, and more, everything sounded delicious. Before ordering food, we checked out the drink options. They offer plenty of domestic and imported beers, both bottled and on draft. I'm a simple guy, so I went with my favorite Miller Lite, which was ice-cold and refreshing. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was very good--so good I wish I had taken a photo of it. We decided on the sampler platter since it had a variety of finger foods we love: buffalo wings, chicken strips, potato skins, BBQ pork ribs, and flautas. While waiting, I couldn't resist adding a side of my favorite--steak fries. When the food arrived, I was amazed at how much we received for such a reasonable price. Everything on the platter was hot, flavorful, and satisfying. The wings were spicy, the pork tips were sweet and tender, and overall the platter was excellent. The only small downside was that the chicken strips weren't as hot as the rest and were slightly dry, but dipping them in buffalo sauce made up for it. The steak fries were massive--I couldn't even finish them. They were fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned (with a little help from me). The buffalo sauce paired amazingly with the fries. Overall, this was a great experience trying a new lunch spot in Ventura County. Affordable prices, great-tasting food and drinks, friendly service, and a beautiful city to enjoy while passing through Highway 126. I highly recommend Central Station to anyone looking for good food, drinks, or a relaxed place to unwind.
