I came here with coworkers for lunch and we sat out on the patio. Everything in the menu sounded so delicious and the Yelp photos made it even harder to decide. The tritip on the outside grill smelled amazing that I knew I had to try it. I got the lunch special sandwich which is a choice of turkey, tritip or grilled chicken. I got the tritip sandwich with fries for $11.99. It's seriously one of the cheaper lunch plates I had seen in many moons. Our server was on top of it and got our orders and drinks straight. The food took about 15-20 minutes for all of us to be served. The waitress constantly checked in with us to see how everything was. The fries are thick cut which are one of my favorites. The tritip was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Definitely a good choice. This is also a bar and seemed to be a pretty popular spot for locals. I would come back. read more

We're done with this place. I've been coming to Central Station with my family for years and the food and service has been going down the toilet for a while. Coming here is a dice roll, sometimes the food and servers are on fire, other times it takes too long for either one to come to your table. Tonight was the last time that we're going to deal with long waits, wrong orders, and other guest coming after us but they get their food before us. read more

It was my first time visiting Central Station, and to make it even better, it was on a rainy Saturday. My wife and I were driving through Ventura County during a storm and decided to stop for lunch. On our way home, we came across Central Station--a Sports Bar and Grill--and honestly, what more could you ask for on a rainy day? The place opens at 11 a.m., and when we arrived, we were welcomed into a restaurant with outdoor seating, a decent-sized dining area, and a full bar. There were several TVs throughout, making it a great spot to watch sports while enjoying food and drinks. Once seated, our host Monique provided exceptional service. She got us seated right away, took our drink order promptly, and gave us plenty of time to review their massive menu--which, by the way, made it very hard to choose. From breakfast burritos and salads to tri-tip sandwiches, wings, pizza, sampler platters, grilled chicken, and more, everything sounded delicious. Before ordering food, we checked out the drink options. They offer plenty of domestic and imported beers, both bottled and on draft. I'm a simple guy, so I went with my favorite Miller Lite, which was ice-cold and refreshing. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was very good--so good I wish I had taken a photo of it. We decided on the sampler platter since it had a variety of finger foods we love: buffalo wings, chicken strips, potato skins, BBQ pork ribs, and flautas. While waiting, I couldn't resist adding a side of my favorite--steak fries. When the food arrived, I was amazed at how much we received for such a reasonable price. Everything on the platter was hot, flavorful, and satisfying. The wings were spicy, the pork tips were sweet and tender, and overall the platter was excellent. The only small downside was that the chicken strips weren't as hot as the rest and were slightly dry, but dipping them in buffalo sauce made up for it. The steak fries were massive--I couldn't even finish them. They were fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned (with a little help from me). The buffalo sauce paired amazingly with the fries. Overall, this was a great experience trying a new lunch spot in Ventura County. Affordable prices, great-tasting food and drinks, friendly service, and a beautiful city to enjoy while passing through Highway 126. I highly recommend Central Station to anyone looking for good food, drinks, or a relaxed place to unwind. read more

Went to Central Station in Fillmore and was genuinely impressed. It was very busy, but the experience never felt rushed. The tri-tip salad absolutely blew me away, I was not prepared for how good it was. My server, Ari, suggested it and she was spot on. Her customer service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and on top of everything despite how busy it was. I also had the fish taco, which was great. I've been here a few times, seldom worth talking about. The last time I went, I ordered the fish n chips and it came to me sloppy and microwave reheated. I cook, I can tell. Not many choices for bars in town. It sucks that it closes so early. We showed up an hour before close and were greeted by "you need to order now because we closing..." ok I get it but no need to be rude about it. We went only for drinks anyways so we figured we'd be able to get about 2- 3 rounds. Nope took 15 minutes for our drinks while the place only had about two tables that were clearly done but staff kept talking to the whole time. By the time they came back we asked for a second round and they said no they're closed even though it was still 40 minutes before posted closing time. We were shocked but whatever it was what it was. A stop to Central Market it was but What got us upset is that they went back to talk to the tables and served them another round of drinks. The cocktails were good which made it worse. Thank you low blood sugar! While on the way to Santa Barbara, I felt the signs of low blood sugar. Yelp directed me to this hidden gem on Central and it did not disappoint. The one and only waitress/bartender was busier than a mosquito on a nudist beach but made sure our drinks were full. The food, a Philly cheese steak and a western trip tip sandwich both with steak fries was a great way to fill our stomachs and to prevent the need for a glucagon shot. If you'd like a few drinks and some great food, consider this place, right smack dab in the middle of downtown Fillmore. Wonderful service and excellent food. Been here a few times and have had a few different items fruition the menu and it is always good. Atmosphere is bar type so if you have the family or kids just remember it could be loud. But if that's your scene this place is perfect for you. Front parking is sometimes limited but you can park in the rear then walk down the little alleyway. Has really gone downhill over the years. You'll only get good service if you're at the bar to drink. Forget ordering food within the first 15-30 minutes - sometimes they won't even take your drink orders in that amount of time. This isn't really the servers' fault (although they could be better at keeping track of who comes in first). They are always understaffed. Usually only 1 person working at a time. Would get more business and fewer walk-outs with even just having 2 at all times. Really want to enjoy this place still. Food is great and one of the last restaurants in Fillmore. Awesome food, great ambience. It was packed when we were there. Not knowing the COVID mandates in this county we followed our LA County mandates--masked unless eating. There is a sign that says "Masked Required" but no one but us and workers wore them. We shared the potato skins and BBQ pork sandwich. Both were tasty and we recommend both. Tried this restaurant for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. Inside is setup like a sports bar, with lots of big screen tv's, neon, and some sports memorabilia. Not many people inside, but it was after lunchtime. I'd been craving a burger, but also noticed the pork sandwich and several other good choices, so my dining companion and I decide we'll share and each have half of a burger and BBQ pork sandwich. They were both 7.95 and came with choice of fries, slaw or baked beans, we chose fries and slaw. Both sandwiches were generously sized for the price, and included some nice touches, both rolls were grilled, the pork tasting like it had some garlic butter on it before grilling and some butter on the burger as well. The burger, had a nice brown crust on the outside and tasted deliciously beefy and juicy. Was served on an upgraded bun than just your standard run of the mill hamburger bun, and had lettuce, tomato and onion. My one gripe, mayo. They put mayo on the bun, luckily not much. I don't understand the California penchant for putting mayo on things. Fries were big fat planks, but nicely fried and coated with seasoning salt. the pork sandwich was on a rectangle shaped roll, juicy and served with a slightly sweet, and slightly tangy house made barbecue sauce. We both liked this alot as well. Slaw was a little bit sweet, but still good, I never met a slaw I didn't like though. Service was prompt and attentive, our drinks being refilled without getting too low. I'd definitely drive the half hour to eat there again. Outside there was a grill filled with food, so I'm guessing they must cook some part of the menu outside, maybe the tri tip for the tri tip sandwiches? read more

Came here with a friend who lives in Filmore and she made sure we got some service by grabbing the table *right* next to the kitchen. This way, she said, we could flag down a server if we needed something. It was a little harder than it sounded, but we did get okay service. Pizza was good. Giant and with a decent amount of toppings and they tasted fresh. Tried their chocolate cake for dessert and was pleased. The cake was moist and very rich. After driving from San Diego to this quaint town of Filmore in Ventura County, we saw the reviews were good for Mexican food so we pulled off Highway 126 and found parking across the street from Central Station. The restaurant / bar has more of a bar feel. When we arrived they were all out of tri-tip. We instead ordered their chicken tacos and a couple of Cadillac Margaritas. I was impressed with the crunchiness of the tacos! Spiced and seasoned just right too! The Margaritas were awesome. The food quenched my pallet of Mexican cuisine. The service was quick and polite. This place truly needs help with customer service and know how to take ownership for their mistakes. I placed an order online because no one answered the phone when I called. I ordered 3 pizzas and 2 sides of wings. I sent my husband to pick up the order and he got back with 2 pizzas and the wrong flavor on the wings. I called immediately called back to let them know and the waitress kept telling me I was wrong when I kept explaining that They missed one 18 inch pizza!!!! Either way the manager called me back with the worst customer service skills ever I got my money back for the missing pizza and had to eat some sorry a$$ wings with barely any sauce.
