Stopped in on trip through Filmore today for lunch as my husband and I love BBQ. My Apple Maps had it on its list so we popped in to try....OMG is this place Amazing!!!! I had the Burrito and my husband was like BBQ place why a burrito. I tell you they made it with perfect sized diced Tri-Tip and it was the best ever lots of meat their BBQ sauce is home made and Amazing. My husband had his favorite BBQ chicken and was similarly Amazed. We had sides of Potato Salad and Cole Slaw and it was perfect. The customer Service by the son of this family owned business was very friendly and knowledgeable. Is it a hole in the wall yes .... yes it is but it is homey and just enough tables made it feel like a family kitchen just great. read more

Not good at all very dry meats. But their bbq sauce is amazing. Service was so rude!! Atmosphere horrible The menu on white board couldn't even read and it was like that for months! Not sure sure they've fixed it since I haven't been back read more

Dang bang for buck bbq. The Tri-Tip was amazing and the toast was cracked. Highly recommend coming here for some cheap good bbq.

The best tri-tip sandwich I have ever eaten! Thick, but tender slices of meat that comes with delicious sauce in a large crusty bun; it doesn't get better than this. Then have other BBQ foods and sides all for a reasonable price. The restaurant is clean, but not pretty. read more

Awesome hole in the wall, family owned spot. The young man working the counter is very helpful, kind and has great customer service. The tri tip is juicy and fresh, a the hot links have a nice snap to them. The hot bbq sauce packs a lot of heat and is very flavorful. I will definitely come back again to try the beef ribs. read more

Food and services are awesome!!!! the quality of the food is so good. The service is amazing they make you feel like one of the family.

Delicious BBQ and friendly employees. If you order a sandwich, you might want to ask for the sauce on the side if you're not a messy BBQ eater. No public restrooms. read more

Not even kidding. This is the best BBQ in all of California!!!! Must try!!! Raul is the man!!!

I frequently travel and work along Hwy 126 and have stopped here a few times for a sandwich to go. I always enjoy the hotlink sandwiches. I have also had the tri tip sandwich several times. The slaw and beans are good sides. Service is pleasant, the people are nice and helpful. It gets busy at times, but my to go orders are always fairly quick. I have always taken food to go. read more

I loved the family that runs it. Pappa and his family are exceptional and warm. The BbQ sauce is awesome. Reminds me of old school BbQ places from back home. Ask for Pappas Beef Ribs, you won't regret it. His son does the whole place great honor. I'm new to Fillmore and came in, felt like a home place. read more

The meat & sauce is awful. They wanna charge $2 for tiny extra sauce cause the meat was so bad, it needs to be drowned in it. I would not recommend this place at all. No flavor in food and service is shit. I realize the place was empty for a reason. read more

First time going with my sister, Raul made us feel like family, the tri tip sandwich was excellent the meat was flavorful and juicy, we will definitely be going back. read more

I've driven by this place several times and noticed how many people I'd see stopping in. I felt very welcome on my first time there. Great hole in the wall restaurant that I'll be going to on a regular basis! Had the ribs which were delicious with their bbq sauce. I especially loved how nice the staff were! I'll be back many more times! read more

Oh My Gosh! This place is a blessing. Best Chicken Philly sandwich. Best Tri Tip. Best spicy BBQ sauce I have EVER had. The father amd son duo of Raul and Raul provide an atmosphere and service that make you miss it as soon as you step out. Family and love go into every bite and the world is better for it. Oh, and the homemade potato chips are extraordinary. I would buy them bybthe truckload. read more

Its small family-run business. Fast service, tri-tip sandwich was excellent. I had it with the spicy Jabanero sauce. Loved it.

Hidden gem. Sandwiches were so good and the barbecue sauce was amazing! Great service too but unfortunately no bathrooms.

This place is really busy. This place is clean and the service is great. The food was delicious. The barbecue sauce was great. Ribs and tri-tip not dry or over cooked or over seasoned. I reccomend this place if your looking for BBQ. read more

The BBQ Place - 2 meat combo Tri tip and pork ribs Chili beans and Baked beans. - Barbeque Near Me - Fillmore, California

It was mid week around 2:30 and i am hungry. I was passing through Fillmore and lots of fast food but in a strip center I happen to see the Bbq Place. I decided to stop in. First impressions, the store front is nondescript but outside and inside and clean. The cashier greeted me and was pleasant. I opted for the hot link sandwich and macaroni salad. The food was ready in a timely manner and it arrived hot. The sandwich was kind of underwhelming. The sandwich was a butter toasted roll and 4 halves of hot link, spicy bbq sauce on the side. What was there was really good. The bread was fresh and it held up well with all the bbq sauce I dumped on the sandwich. The links had good heat on their own. The BBQ sauce was the star of the meal. Nice heat and great flavor. The sauce left my lips tingling. I just wish the sandwich had some mustard, a slice of tomato, a little lettuce maybe a little mayo. The macaroni salad was a miss for me. The pasta was over cooked and had no seasoning. If I was in the area again, I would give them another shot. Maybe I ordered wrong. read more

Cleanest place and best customer service. What a dynamic duo to have in a good place. Food is amazing and fresh. Place is a little whole in the wall but that's part of its charm. I highly recommend the hot links but the garlic bread is hands down the best thing. read more

This was a very convenient spot off the road. At first we didn't think much of it because it looked empty, but then again, it was during COVID. We ended up going with the tri-tip sandwich. Don't even waste your money. Zero flavor, zero seasoning.. the tri tip was gray and looked... boiled maybe. The chicken was waaaaay over cooked and seemed as though it was reheated. Like 6 times. It was so dry, you couldn't even chew it. Baked beans were just too watery and had a weird flavor. Overly sweet. Everything was just bad. Didn't even finish our food. Would've posted a picture, but we gave it to the dogs/: read more

First time and I'll definitely be back! Great service, got my food within a couple minutes from ordering, felt like I was in and out and the prices are very affordable. I got the tri tip sandwich combo and it was delicious! read more

It's crazy to me that people think this is good. They disgrace the term "BBQ". Nothing is smoked or even grilled over charcoal or any kind of wood. Everything is grilled indoors over gas. Tri-tip was dry and overcooked. Unfortunately, it's the only brick and mortar option for BBQ in Fillmore. You'd be better off going to Santa Paula or really anywhere else. read more

Ok bbq nothing special and over priced for what you get. Tri tip sandwich was dry. The service was ok.

Went to this place for lunch today and it was an okay tri-tip sandwich but what has me reaching out to Yelp for this one star zero star if I could is the disgusting potato salad with my meal deal, I am here on the toilet now for this bland oily tasting potato salad that did not sit right at all they really need to look into a new potato salad option cuz it's not made fresh it's definitely brought in a carton I come from a service deli management and that's not made there so think twice before you grab the meal deal just grab the sandwich and go read more

Believe every good review.... the tri-tip sandwiches are amazing. Served on garlic bread, and a generous amount at that. IT's a huge sandwich. I could only eat half for lunch and then the other half for dinner. The meat was delicious. I usually don't even eat tri-tip but this was so good I ate all of it. I didn't want to share so I hid the remaining sandwich in the fridge so my family couldn't find it. The barbecue sauce (I ordered mild) was also great. I only needed a small amount and it just made the sandwich perfect. The potato salad... yummy. Can't wait to go back. Service was also great. read more

Adequate. The Food is grilled, 0 hardwood smoke. Tri tip is good and well seasoned, ribs are ok and chicken is hit or miss. The sides (bbq or chili beans) rate as lackluster at best. The grilled French bread is good. What makes this a semi regular stop for me despite the downsides is the sauce. It's not too thin, but not too thick and sticky. It has great taste and drizzles well on the meat. Both the regular and the spicy get a 8/10 from me. The Spicy has a good kick on the tail end without burning. I recommend getting Tri Tip, then a lid of the bread, drizzle on the sauce then dunk it in the sauce container as you eat the tri tip sandwich. Cheaper to buy it this way than buying the menu tri tip sandwich too. read more

Tri tips and ribs are bussin', bussin'! The bread that comes with the tri-tip...FIRE!!!

Great Tri-tip! The bbq sauce was excellent with a choice of mild or spicy. They said that the spicy was VERY hot, but were willing to give me a 50/50 mix of mild and spicy which was perfect. The garlic bread was a bit dry though and the macaroni salad was just OK. The beans that came as a side were very tasty, as was the cole slaw my friends had. Overall a good place for some really tasty BBQ. Will certainly stop again next time I'm in the area. read more
