I sincerely hope this post doesn't get anyone in trouble. We bought a home nearby in Weeki Wachee…read moreboth Lowes and Home Depot are very close. Shortly after purchasing the home we needed to re-floor the 3,000 sqft. We have always had good+ credit however after applying for a credit line at both Lowe's and Home Depot, Home Depot approved us. We spent about $5,000 the floors still look fantastic 8 years later and paid that card off many times over. Every appliance light fan you name it has been purchased at Home Depot. Im a 50+ year old dude I like to do my own landscaping and gardening since I don't go to the gym I trick myself into thinking this is my work out. The property is just under 1 acre. I push mow pull weeds ect. After my 15 year old Honda mower finally needed to be replaced I went into the garden area that when I met Sue. We talked I told her about the property and Sue helped me into the 2020's I purchased my first 40v battery mower a weed eater edger rototiller and bush wacker. Sues advice was don't store the batteries in the garage so they charge in my living room MUCH to my wife's protest. Last week I finally ran out of string on my weed wacker I foolishly took the head off instead of going to that "you.." site with all the videos. I learned quickly that was a mistake. I struggled for a couple days trying to get it back together but I just don't have that grip strength anymore. I went into yesterday ready to buy a whole new attachment but after talking with Sue she said bring it in I'll help you. I was back in a jiffy. Sue and I both tried but Sue paged a young man I believe Noel who came over and snapped it together in 2 minutes then Sue showed me the proper way to restring the dang thing. I couldn't help but give her a hug and shake Noel's hand after playfully griping his biceps. It's not often a big box store makes you feel like a friend but Sue and the rest of the garden appliances and lighting really do. Thanks Sue and Noel I'm grateful I'll be out trimming this morning and I'm sure I'll see you for something this afternoon.

Shame on me for not looking at reviews first, shame on Home Depot using USIG as their go to floor…read moreinstaller. Learn from my MISTAKE. My salesman Bill flooring consultant was great, educated about flooring, friendly, very accommodating, nicest guy you will ever meet. Thought customer service was gone forever, what a pleasant surprise. Once I purchased the flooring and the labor to install it though the nightmare began. Communication immediately broke down the first contact ( a text not an actual phone call ) I received from USIG. was told they would call me to set up an appointment that is convenient for me. Nope got a text, the beginning of my problems with them. I'm disabled along with my wife, we have many daily challenges and doctor appointments to contend with. USIG texted me with an appointment at their convenience I said No. Then I get a phone call "So You Want To Cancel The Appointment? " First words spoken to me, REALLY? I said NO and the nightmare gets going. Needless to say USIG THEY ARE HORRIBLE AT COMMUNICATING, EXPLAINING, GETTING BACK TO YOU, DOING THE JOB CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME, COMING BACK AND LEAVING THE JOB UNFINISHED, unbelievable... After they didn't do the job right and I had to complain and send pics to them showing the incompetent job their installers did, I waited a week with no response had to text them again to get a response. Here I sit with the flooring job worse than the initial install and I will never allow USIG into my home again! Do Not let HOME DEPOT con you into using them. They arrive late, typical, after two hours they go to lunch for an hour, I had a doctor appointment left for an hour came back and they had half the laminate flooring going the wrong direction. Needless to say they had to redo it and tried to give me the excuse you don't have enough flooring left... Really? I have a full box left surprising because they made 20 trips in and out slamming my door to fill their van with every piece they cut and didn't use. USIG did what they wanted to do, didn't ask what direction, didn't speak to their boss or ignored him, the boss and I discussed it beforehand way before they installed it and he said that's not a problem. Oh wait no communication again and well, you two speak Spanish and or Portuguese especially amongst yourselves when you don't want me to understand what you are saying. Yes was told one person will speak fluent English this is the USA after all, If I lived in Germany and worked with the public I would learn German just saying. And every time I came in to check their work the Brazilian was on his phone looking at pictures, trying to learn how to install flooring. on Youtube I assume... Really? USIG hires anyone apparently. has a contract with Home Depot this is a huge big box store. The assistant manager and floor coordinator tell me this doesn't happen very often... they will fix it. Nope they will never set foot in my home again period. MEANWHILE LIFE GOES ON, I SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS $$$$ WITH NO WARRANTY COVERAGE on this, with trim that is messed up and cut up in pieces, flooring unfinished in my closet, glue showing on my brand new LVP. When they walked out, the unprofessional floor installers Jay & Danilo if that's their real names, never showed identification, they didn't say they were done, I had to chase them out the door to speak to them, they said they were done sign this paper, unbelievable. yeah the BOSS said they were done and to leave. Again communicaton Zero, Nope Not Signing Anything!!! Get out of my house and never come back. Did I mention we are disabled? they moved a cabinet and never put it back. Communication Zero was told they would move 5 pieces as long as no personal belongings were inside. Wanted to charge me $300 to move the bed, I had the plumber move that for us after removing the toilet. If you read this far Thank You, NEVER LET USIG DO WORK IN YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. DON'T LET Home Depot STEER YOU TO THEM, Run! Of course I have no warranty on this unfinished job USIG is the warranty holder and certified repairman. Home Depot took the money and let them handle the rest. Sad But True... LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE !!!!

Excellent staff, memorable experience…read more I went yesterday after talking with Kevin the night before, trying to match up a specific green-blue shade of paint that I was able to find a substitute for on Pinterest. I'm fairly inexperienced with paint (unless you count "Haze Gray Underway" days). I had got some estimates from painters in town and since I was only doing one accent wall, didn't know if one gallon of the paint would be enough (it is, and Kevin was very helpful and patient; he put the info in their computer under my name so all I had to do was stop by yesterday, and get it mixed, which was done in 10 minutes or less while I shopped for other household needs. Unlike many salespeople nowadays, these nice people (every staff member was great!) made me feel welcomed, helped me every step of the way, were fast and courteous, and very knowledgeable. I'm not a do-it-yourself-er, but perhaps after my experience here I can branch out and learn how to do more things that I'm new to. I don't like big box stores so a store this small, helpful with small checkout lines, and mellow local customers, didn't trigger anxiety the way a visit to any store usually does for me. They even welcomed my therapy dog, many of the children came up and petted him, and adults asked about him. Buddy was really in his element there with all the attention and he flopped on the floor to get belly rubs. So, doggo approved as well. Kudos to the young lady in the paint department who I also found helpful when picking out grade of sandpaper, and just generally friendly...I'll add her name in once I go back and find out. I remembered Kevin's name because I bought a grill as a Father's Day present for my husband last year, and Kevin assisted me with buying that online when they had a good sale, as well as delivered that and our American flag, which my husband really appreciated. The staff will even offer to help you carry your items out. I asked if they can accept tips, and they can (I wasn't sure, as Publix and some other local places don't let them). Make sure you get signed up for their rewards card, which can also be placed in virtual wallet or just looked up by phone number. We will definitely be back, even though it's not right in our area, it's not too far down on 50, on the left before you get to downtown Brooksville (if driving from Spring Hill).

I go to explain that I need an adapter and he starts spouting a bunch of plumber jargon at me and how they don't have what I'm looking for. I show him a picture of what I'm looking for and he doesn't look at it and tells me they don't have any 14 inch faucets because I'm holding a 14 inch faucet. I explain that I am bringing this in to find a piece that adapts to it and that this faucet is just fine and I'm not looking to replace it in 14 or 12 inches. So he did not understand my problem at all and was telling me how they couldn't solve it. I go to show him pictures again of what I want and he doesn't understand he just starts talking about how they don't have it. I have to explain to him that the picture is showing five different common parts, not one and he then proceeds to recommend some other place tells me all about how they have a selection of parts but that they won't sell them to me unless I'm a licensed plumber. Very unhelpful. Terrible customer service. He had no idea what I was looking for. And upon further Investigation into the pieces that I need he did in fact have the parts that I wanted after sending me out. Was I dressed nicely for this place? Because I'm not wearing overalls doesn't mean I don't know how to turn a wrench.

The best Lowe's in their chain-- or at least the best one I've been to! I do occasionally visit…read moreother nearby Lowe's (Zephyrhills and Spring Hill in particular), and there's no comparison. In particular, if you need expert plumbing, electrical, flooring or painting advice, ask these guys. You'll get people that know what they're talking about and can get you pointed in the right direction. (These are very technical departments that require some experienced people, ideally with years of experience prior to coming to work for Lowe's-- and I've gotten to know several of their folks in each, who clearly have just that. Former electricians, plumbers, flooring installers and painters. Folks that know their stuff.) The hardware department I would grade as just an "ok to good" but certainly as good as other Lowe's I've been to, as is the building supplies and the garden departments. All in all these others are good departments, but not as good as those listed above. I have found that each of these departments has some associates that are great, some that are good... and some that are only good at telling you which aisle to find what you're looking for. But that's ok by me, since in those departments I usually already know what I need-- I just need someone to tell me where to find it.. I also like the attitude of the staff in the entire store-- very helpful, very friendly. Clearly the store manager knows how to hire the right people and how to motivate them. Here's a great tip- download the Lowe's ap for your smartphone. No kidding. Searches are a snap, and when you find what you're looking for, it will tell you EXACTLY where to find it. No kidding-- it will take you right to it. I stumbled across it about a year ago. Tip #2- if you've a veteran, you can sign up and get 10% off of all your purchases that are for your personal use. How cool is that? All in all, a great store. It's become my "go to" place for all things building materials, including shopping online and picking it up same day or the next day.

The associate (R) did not seem happy to help or to answer my questions about the turf. I was planning on getting a 18 foot wide by 27 feet long piece of turf. I wasn't getting the cheapest or the most expensive either. The selection was rather small and after me in the wife made a decision on a brand that we were comfortable with they didn't have enough of it. It would have been nice for them to accommodate my wife and I and offer the same price another one that was similar to it with in reason. It's summer time Lowe's you have all the mulch and plants in the world, but not enough turf. I'm surprised and disappointed I have to go to Home Depot now. Please managers make sure your employees are trained on how to take care of and respond to guest and customers. I shouldn't feel like I'm bothering someone at their job!!!! Very unsettling feeling. Not sure if I will return to this location.
