A number of friends recommended this place and I'm glad they did. This is the proverbial neighborhood store complete with mom and pop owners who greet you with a smile and know where everything is. The offer help, but don't hover. Customer service 'par excellence'! Prices seem to be about average and not out of line with the big box stores. If you're lucky enough to remember the show, "Home Improvement," then you'll remember the homey, down-to-earth feel of the hardware store Tim and the guys hung out at. This reminds me of that store . The people are nice, and super helpful. You can't get everything you need from here, but you can get a lot more than you would think just by looking at it from the outside. I chose to go here expecting a knowledgeable friendly staff. What a mistake, next time I will go to home depot. When I ask for help finding a replacement screw I was pointed out to all the screws were located, I was made fun of when I explained I could not see well enough without help. It was funny to them. The other employee started yelling he hopes I am not driving out loud so everyone could here. They continued having fun. I hope this place closes with those attitudes and I wont be back. read more

I called them today as a neighbor keeps puttuing out weekly bags of peanuts in the shells. Now I have a rat problem. Went somewhere last evening and the boat and boxes didn't match even though the same brand. So, I wanted to be sure the correct products for today. Very helpful on the phone. I went right down and they realizes what I wanted, so directly me to the location. They advised to use rubber gloves (which I knew) but advice is always a plus. Their product was perfect and even a few dollars less than the first place. read more

Yesterday was the 2nd time I visited this store. The first was a couple years ago and the staff, an elderly man, was very rude. I live nearby and gave this store another try but it was awful as well. This was on a Sunday afternoon. The employees, 2 ladies this time, were very short and snappy when I asked for assistance. I noticed 1 of the ladies was even rude to the employee who began helping me. I don't know what's happening in this store but it's obvious they need extensive training in how to provide friendly customer service. Is this too much to ask? "Shop local" is great but doesn't work for me with this store. Their rudeness makes me feel worse when I leave than before I ever walked in. Please do what is necessary to provide good customer service. Thank you! read more

I love going to the hardware store with my husband. This hardware store is great. They have a variety of products and fun garden supplies. I have always had good service and help when needed. They staff is also able to see the difference between poking around and needing help. Good job! read more

BEWARE!!! This location will NOT accept returns for items purchased and shipped to store from Do It Best Website. Item was new in package, they refused to refund, wanted me to leave item (and call me back, I live 20+ minutes away,) and call me to let me know if it can be returned and if they will charge a restocking fee. (Restock fee not mentioned anywhere on website.) Totally unaccommodating. read more

I happened to stop in on a whim on a rainy Sunday with a plumbing problem. A woman alone.... With a plumbing problem.... At home depot and lowes.... The associates either go the other way, or act like they have something else to do.... NOT HERE...Chris not only took 30 minutes explaining it to me, but made sure I had the proper parts to do the job. What a guy! This is my new go to hardware store. read more

Great place! They recently moved from the other end of the strip mall and expanded quite a bit. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable so it's where we head when we have a need for advice on how to fix something. We prefer this place to any of the big box stores; you definitely can find what you need since they carry just about everything a home handy person needs. And no one tries to up-sell you when something less expensive will do. We drive out of our way to go there but it's worth the extra time, and we don't waste time wandering around the store looking for help to find an item. read more
