Shoutout to Ken from this location! I had a boo boo where I splattered coffee on my bright white grout in the kitchen and had no idea what to do. He recommended some Clorox and baking soda with an old toothbrush and it worked !!!! It looked brand new and removed the stain completely. We also bonded on New York style pizza and he recommended the best in the area! Shoutout to Ken for helping me yesterday! This is a throwback to what brick and mortar shopping used to be. There's always a warm, personal greeting, I have been here a good number of times. An associate always asks how they can they help you and genuinely listen. Then you are guided to exactly which aisle the products you're looking for will be found. And often they walk you there to make sure you get exactly what you need. Makes me wonder what the heck I need to go to Home Depot or the nearby Walmart for at least when it comes to these type of products. I highly highly recommend this store. read more

Good hardware store. We need to support them occasionally. We like them to stay for the competition in the neighborhood. The store has big parking lot. If you want find products that most of the hardware store discontinued, ACE may be a good alternative. I was looking for coil hose. The hose that bounced back after use. Easy to keep at your yard. Most hardware store requires mail order. But ACE still carrying it. I got to the store by checking at the internet for availability. It is good to have they have it without waiting. Upon entering ACEI was greeted by Mary. Greeting was warm and welcoming. As I continued into the store, I was approached by an employee who assisted me with a M12X1.75. Not only did he walk me to the aisle he also asked the necessary questions as to what exactly I needed for my DYI project on my vehicle. He also educated me on the specific material I needed for my DYI project with the pros and cons of each item. We had a brief conversation as a side bar which I thoroughly enjoyed. This gentleman is a HUUUGE asset to this location. I never knew that this location existed. I will definitely be coming here for my needs moving forward. My experience today at this store was beyond awful. I have a disability that prevents me from utilizing a face covering. I was immediately confronted upon entering. I told them I had a disability. The manager then was brought up who then denied me service based on my disability. When I asked her if she was denying me service based on my disability, she became openly hostile and continued flatly refused to provide service. She offered no reasonable accommodation. Even the county order requires business to accommodate disabilities. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

Kudos to Ace Hardware for honoring & properly enforcing the county's mask-wearing mandate today and for doing their best to keep employees & customers safe during this pandemic--despite pushback from a few people who didn't want to follow the rules. Went in to pick up a few necessities today and 100% of customers & employees were practicing proper mask wearing techniques & social distancing. Those who wanted to come in unmasked were courteously informed that they could not enter the store without a proper face covering. I come here occasionally because of its proximity to my home, but they always make me feel so unwelcome. Nobody greets me when I come in, even when I say hello first. I live in Seven Oaks and do all my hardware shopping at this store...until today. Beside the convenience of being nearby, I liked the store for it's good customer service and helpful staff. As I do on a regular basis, I stopped by this afternoon for some tools & hardware for a little DIY project. As I walked in, I approached a vest-clad employee who I recognized from a prior visit. He told me that he couldn't help me unless I left my "man-purse" at the front counter (I carry a small TUMI bag for wallet, keys, sunglasses, etc.). He wasn't rude - just matter of fact; leave the bag up front or out the door I go. So.....I left and drove to Home Depot. read more

Several months ago I had an unusual application that required a hook at the end of a pole. I went to Ace and Jennifer offered to help me find something that would fit the bill or could be adapted. Having no luck, on the way out I spotted shuffle board poles- Jennifer: "no problem, we have a vise in the back, I'll just bend one side to make a hook (it was aluminum). I use it to pull my very heavy pool vac up in order to clean the filters. I have never utilized a tool as much as I have this one!! Thank you Jennifer! Yesterday, I went in to buy some fertilizer and Karen was very helpful and chatted casually with me (which was so nice for me!) Everyone was so helpful I figured, I'm here and I need an oscillating tool, but didn't want to spend well over $100.00 to get the tool and the accessories were required. Larry went online to the Ace website and found one that was affordable and had all the accessories needed. Theresa jumped in to complete the order and I was on my way. Note: I am an older woman and my past experiences in most hardware stores have not been all that great- I have observed that men get much more help and attention- so Thank You Ace, your employees made it a very pleasant shopping experience. read more

I was trying to buy 6 bags of rock salt using a $10 ACE REWARDS coupon. Register computer showed item was on sale, yet the sales flier did not have it listed nor was there a sign posted by the item. Manager would not over-ride and sales person was somewhat rude. I have shopped here for years but will now take my business elsewhere. They lost my business over less than a $7 adjustment for a coupon I received because of volume of past business. read more

Always friendly at this hardware store. We've shopped at this store on numerous occasion and almost always find what we're looking for. They don't have as many products as Home Depot or Lowe's, but they have normal household maintenance type things and tools, along with paint, yard sale supplies, etc. They even make keys. Bonus! They always have hot, fresh, buttery popcorn for no cost located at the back of the store. My kids always make a beeline for it every time we visit. At the front of the store, they also have a drink cooler, with rare, hard to find Coca-Cola in the glass bottle made with cane sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. Yum. read more

The service here by the employees working on the sales floor is FIVE STAR. However the cashier is A few fries short of a happy meal. She scanned my merchandise gave me a total and then gave me change after I paid, she then told me to have a good day. I asked if she was going to put my merchandise in a bag so I can take it, she said "oh ok". Other than that, this hardware store is great. read more

The majority of the staff has a pretty good idea of most basic areas of home maintenance and repair. There's always at least one guy in the store who has a pretty good answer for any of your questions. They often offer handy tips and advice. Very impressed with this store and particularly the management. Always helpful and relaxed, the staff will always ask if you need help but will leave you alone to shop once you have found what you need. Prices are always a little high at ace, but it is so close to the house it is very convenient for small weekend projects. Never going here for lumber, trim, or pipe, because the prices are almost double the big box stores, but for fittings, glue, screws, and emergency diy fixes the prices are reasonable. The selection could be better, especially if the "Gift Shop" didn't take up a quarter of the store but for a few small items this place works. The owners are friendly, and with an ace rewards membership the specials really make up some good savings! read more

BB Ace Hardware, MORANS. Have been shopping at this store for over 10 years and have put up with the lack of customer service and knowledge from the staff, Then recently I have visited this store 4 times to purchase a new toilet seat, in all visits they did not have in stock a simple round seat. I then called last week and was told they had 1 in stock and would hold for me it was listed at $17.99. When I arrived it was up front being held for me and when I went to check out the price was now $34.00 I refused it and went looking for the correct one, which of course was not in stock, I then spoke with the owner who had nothing to say. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. I have always tried to spend my money in local area stores and small business's but this is just a terrible way to do business. I'm going back to the big box stores after this bait and switch. read more

They were always friendly and helped me find what I needed quickly or if was something they didn't have they told me where to get it. I cannot say enough thanks to your fine staff for coming to my rescue on Sat, 11/14/15. Not only was I thoroughly lost thanks to an out of date Mapquest, but had a piece of a shield dragging the ground and making a huge scraping racket under my car. When I went in to ask for a strong pair of shears, Jennifer not only got the shears but went out and got under the car and fixed the problem! I will never forget this kindness.! Two other employees were so helpful to me with directions to a rather new area of New Tampa. I would probably still be going in wrong directions if it weren't for them.
