I called the warranty/ Maytag number and am told that since I didn't purchase the Lowes "extended" warranty I was out of luck! Excuse me, what part of 5 years parts & labor from Maytag (its the Commercial model) would have me buy a 3 year overlapping warranty. But, Mr Appliance sent a tech. He listened to it running for about two minutes, said "Ive never heard that sound before?" And tells me the motor is out, ran no codes or any troubleshooting? Came back in with the estimate of $768. To fix a washer UNDER WARRANTY. ($975. Washer, 4 years old.) They charged me $125 for the service call but we're "supposed" to deduct it from my final bill. Ended up costing me 570 More to have them fix it . He replaced a perfectly good motor (and took the old one with him, even when I asked for it to be left, since I bought it. He ended up using process of elimination to decide it was the plastic gear and he "happened" to have a spare... for $80. Once that one piece went in. Ran perfectly. No break 9n the bill, no warranty help from Maytag. Didn't even deduct the $125 at the end. Done fighting both.. cut my loses and just let everyone know to avoid Both. Especially Maytag washers. ​

Most importantly, quality construction, professional and responsive customer service, and timely installation, were paramount for me. I researched every major, and independent closet companies in my area. The major closet companies sent their salespeople who knew very little about construction and even less about customer service. Most of them did not even bother to submit a proposal within the agreed timeframe. A few of them, despite multiple attempts to call their offices, never followed up at all. Others submitted proposals that were at least double the budget we originally discussed for product quality, which was not much better than the glorified IKEA. Two of the smaller closet companies refused to show their prior work in person, did not have a showroom, did not provide references, yet were eager to collect a hefty deposit, only to disappear and never deliver. After hiring an attorney and reporting them to BBB, I was able to collect my deposit, and provide them with an appropriate review online. Lessons learned! After these experiences I was determined and relentless in my search to find the one rare contractor who does as he says, follows up timely, and delivers uncompromising quality! Is it an oxymoron in today's culture??? Perhaps...but I finally did, where I least expected it, in Spring Hill, FL at Create More Space. From my very first telephone conversation with the owner, Manuel, I felt comfortable and optimistic again that Create More Space was the right fit to bring my project to reality. Manuel was knowledgeable, articulate, and confident of the quality he delivers to his customers. I wasted no time and drove to his show room the same day. We tested a few and when he saw us laying sideways, he said we'd be better with a pillow top. We ended up purchasing the pillow top along with an adjustable frame. The Delivery gentlemen were extremely courteous and acted very professional. They took away our mattress, as well as our old box spring and set up our new bed very quickly. Not only did the technician a faulty part when I called back and spoke with She tried to give me a lame excuse as to why there was still no cool air circulating after several hours. The technician was there for less than an hour and $395 for a part that was ineffective. Not only that the owner did not even offer a refund or take responsibility for an ineffective part. This isn't just bad service. is total disregard for the customer. If you want a professional job done right look elsewhere integrity is what we're all about this is what is on their business card, which is also the farthest farthest thing from the truth.
