Nancy Buschel has been cutting hair for decades, a fact she'd probably insist I not share if only because it divulges more of her age than she'd rather say. I went here on a coworker's recommendation since my usual stylist has been MIA for unknown reasons.
The salon is in a converted house that has been adorably redone. It's cozy with a "victorian meets your Aunt Melba's living room" feel, with cases of Aveda (yay!) products adorning the walls.
Nancy is energetic and sweet as pie, but prepare yourself for her energy. At first I thought she was trying to rush me as I stumbled over words in my attempts to describe what exactly I wanted (bangs...but not a lot of bangs....and I'm thinking of a bob, but would that make my face look fat....?) She nodded and eased me into the chair, where I discovered she was not rushing me. She simply understood what I wanted..and needed, before I even opened my mouth.
Nancy's experience really shines in every snip she makes. She literally read my mind of what I wanted. It was the first time I looked in the mirror post blow-dry and spoke the words, "This is EXACTLY what I wanted."
