Mother's Day celebration a success with R&R! Food always amazing and Spanish Fork location has the best employees!

We went today. I got a bbq brisket salad and my husband got a 2 meat meal (ribs & brisket) The ribs were cold but most disappointing was the brisket. Most of the meat on the salad and the meal was inedible. All fat and the fat was not rendered. Even our friend sent most of her brisket home to the dogs. Sad for $50 meal for the puppies. The wings were tasty although cold. The service was counter service and they were nice. I will never eat there again! read more

We ordered a few combos to eat in the restaurant , another to go, banana pudding. Ribs were inedible, chicken was dry, Mac and cheese was still frozen in the to go. Such a disappointment after spending over $100. I will never come here again. I will never recommend. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I waited two weeks before writing this to cool off, but my opinion hasn't changed. When ordering, they were out of turkey -- which was fine -- so I got brisket instead. After waiting around 10 minutes, I got my food. It was a busy night with the BYU football game going on, and I totally understand things can get hectic. But when I opened my order, my $2.50 brisket upcharge turned out to be two end pieces that were about 75% fat and completely inedible. Normally I'd let something small slide, but this was just too much for what I paid. I politely asked for another slice and showed the employees the issue. Three of them stood there unsure what to do, and one teenage blonde girl actually laughed at me like it was a joke. The person slicing the meat looked at me like I was overreacting. After about 20 seconds, another worker finally stepped in and gave me a proper slice -- exactly what it should've looked like from the start. This is the second time I've been to this location where they've been out of items and the customer service was terrible. I've worked in food service for four years and know how customers should be treated -- and not one of these employees met even a basic standard. Extremely disappointing and honestly embarrassing for this establishment. I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

Last visit here was a good experience eating the BBQ but not this time. We decided on hitting R&R again for convenience and they have outside patio for our dog. Ordered the cheese burgers and what a disappointment. Not sure it was beef and neither of us finished our burgers. The meat had no texture, no flavor and was 9 parts hamburger helper and one part unknown meat. read more

I've been obsessed with R&R for the last 12 months when a friend suggested it. I've been to 4 Utah locations and neither SF or Provo can even stand up to the quality and care I receive at the Draper location! However I live in Provo so the Lehi and Draper locations are further away. The Provo location runs out of meat constantly so SF is our remaining chance. We've been to this SF location no less than 10 times in the last 6 months and the quality falls each and every time. First they kept forgetting the sauces and I'd have to go back inside and ask for them or my husband wouldn't notice until he was home after picking it up. Then the amount of food was skimped and sides were completely forgotten! But last night was the final chance. They had even given me a coupon link to try them again after last months complaint to their survey, but it didn't say I would need to order in the store or at the drive thru, so as usual I was ordering online from home in Provo, clicked the link for the code and a timer started, a 15 minute timer! I couldn't drive there within 15 minutes, we live 17-20 mins away! So the $10 off coupon wouldn't work by the time I got there! I ended up finishing my online order and hoped for the best. They did remember our sauces this time and they did remember our pint of mashed potatoes and technically the gravy. At first I thought they forgot it but when I got home I found one of the tiny sauce containers was actually gravy. It's like a TBSP of gravy to go with a pint of potatoes! So I was lucky to get two tastes of potatoes and gravy and I think they forgot to season the potatoes at all. Also when my husband opened his container of food, pulled pork sandwich and fries, he said, "You've got to be joking me!" We each got maybe 6-9 fries! It was like a 1/4 of the normal amount of fries! And sadly the disappointment didn't end there! The amount of pork on our sandwiches was also skimped down as well! WTH is going on with this location?!? I would have marked it down to 1 star but to be fair, the little food we did get was still good. I'm just sick of the inconsistent service and amount of food in our meals! read more

Went in during dinner hours and found out they were out of both types of fries. Disappointed. But the reason I was given was because of the tariffs, making it hard to stay within their budget so they can't order what they need. Now R&R has gone political? Because they import potatoes from Canada, China or Mexico?! When our neighbor is Idaho...Dumb management. What I did get to order, pulled pork sandwich was good. Fix your customer service. Would give less stars but can't. If I order a pickup I shouldn't have to wait an hour for it to be done and ready for me to leave with it. Totally defeats the purpose of an online order. And when your workers ignore someone and keep glaring it ruins it. read more

First of the servers and staff were amazing. They were kind and very patient with us. However the food on the other hand was not great. The brisket we got was very dry, tough and lukewarm warm. We order the Mac and cheese as a side it was cold also. Not sure if it was the time of day we went but it just felt like the food sat out. The Spanish Fork location is my absolute favorite of the three R&Rs I've been to in Utah County. Staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Food is outstanding!! The chopped beef brisket is perfectly smoked and the ribs and wings are a close second! Sides and desserts are high quality, too! Best hush puppies I've ever had, too! Am I gushing? Newer location in Spanish Fork. The restaurant is very clean, staff is friendly. Went for the caveman burger with a side of garlic mashers, while my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans. He loved his sandwich and the different BBQ sauces they had table side. I absolutely loved my burger! It had so much flavor and was a huge portion. I couldn't even finish my side anymore. I love the original BBQ and sweet BBQ sauce. So glad that R&R has more locations now, it makes it accessible to more people to try out their amazing food! read more

I decided to try out R&R, because of the great reviews. My experience was not very good. Granted, I ordered a salad at a barbecue joint and, maybe, that was my problem. I got the chicken salad and the issue was the lack of ingredients; it was mostly just lettuce. Hardly any chicken or cheese or anything else. Also, I bit into a couple of bones from the chicken. The hush puppies were pretty good, just needed some sort of dipping sauce, maybe? If I come back, I'll need to try something else, but I do not recommend the salad. read more

I went into the store on Tuesday night and pre-ordered a few sides for a company get together, when I came in the next evening the team working had no idea an order had been placed, so it was in no way ready. They scrambled to get it ready, 50min later I was out the door. Not only was it late, they didn't put the lid for the beans on very well at all and it spilled all over my truck. Like many of the other places in the Four Foods Group collective, R & R has been steadily downscaling, with the idea, I suspect, to hone in and focus more on the things they do really well, for greater consistency. This means gone are some of the more beloved and extraneous sides, in favor of a more streamlined approach. Much like the Mo Bettah's, these places are tending now to resemble each other a lot more and I'm not going to debate the relative merits of that decision, but I do miss some of those absent sides. For what is here, it is all pretty solid. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was quite nice, extremely juicy, and the sweet potato fries were actually crispy this time, so all good there. The sauces are the usual magnificence and Coke Zero in the fountain, definitely hitting all the right marks for good, solid BBQ. I don't think they're scaling the heights they once were, shooting more for more of a "very good" middle ground, as opposed to the streakiness that can sometimes come with chasing the peaks of great, but we can always use more high quality sure things and these places are definitely that. read more

It was my father's birthday and he chose R&R for dinner since we'd never been there before. I felt like the menu signs were a bit difficult to read due to the font size, music a tad too loud to talk and the chairs weren't very bum friendly. We also wished they had some moist towelettes, be prepared to get messy! The food was good! I really liked my pineapple pork sandwich and fried pickles. I think the only negative comment was that the brisket my dad got was a bit dry. Definitely worth trying again. read more

I ordered the 3 meat plate it came with a side and your choice of 3 meats for $18. If you want brisket as one of those meats it's $2.50 more. Not outrageous pricing for bbq, I got the mac-n-cheese as my side. The meals do not come with a drink so I got a sweet tea. For my meats I got brisket, ribs, and spicy sausge. The portions were suprisingly small. All of the meat was drastically under flavored. There sauces were sub par. The brisket and the ribs were a good texture and properly smoked, but again lacked flavor. I would not return. read more

I ordered a brisket loaded baked potato. The meat was cold and the baked potato wasn't cooked all the way. It was warm but not thoroughly cooked. And it didn't have many toppings. I was very disappointed. I would have given one star but the manager tried to fix it - meat was warmer but over half was fat and the potato was less cooked than the first. My husband ordered a brisket salad. Meat was also cold and the salad was lettuce cheese and tomato with cucumber- typical side salad at a fast food joint. This is a go to location for us! The barbecue is always good, and the service is decent. I've always thought of them as the best barbecue on the Wasatch front, but they may have stiff competition coming from the meat hook! That being said, I've never had bad food or service at any R&R location. I highly recommend R&R barbecue anywhere. read more

Hands down best BBQ place I've been since moving to Utah County/Spanish Fork area. Weyland and the crew make you feel like stepping into your family's backyard BBQ. I had the pineapple pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese, dry rub wings and peach cobbler with a beer. (I work nights and this was my 3:00 pm breakfast). Perfect meal. Atmosphere and decor is fitting for the menu. They even have a wash station for these amazing and just right amount of messy sandwiches. I've been an R&R Bbq fan for several years. Infact I started going when there was only a couple locations. I like to think I'm pretty good at bbq myself. I've always judged my bbq to R&R. This was our first time at the SF location and will be making it a more regularly for dinning out. I had the ribs and the were spot on 5 stars with no sauces. Taste, tenderness, perfect bite through. My wife had the pulled pork nachos and again spot on. Beer on tap would make 5 stars overall for bbq. read more
