Holt Plumbing LLC - Attic fitting spraying water

Holt Plumbing LLC

Poor quality and workmanship. Holt Plumbing was a sub-contractor on renovation at my house (General…read morecontractor- Quad-A Construction). Replaced a cast iron 4" drain pipe with pvc. Which was fine but they did not properly tie-in the humidifier drain in my attic to the drain pipe. Hence now heating season is here and discovered water in my basement from the poor tie-in my attic. Water had been spraying on the attic floor for over 2 months before I discovered it. Also, left random pex pipe sticking out a wall in the basement (made no sense). And lastly had to make multiple requests to fix a leak in newly installed pvc sink drain. They were non-responsive to my general contractor and the gc did not follow thru on the outstanding issues. Not happy with the poor quality and do not recommend.

They started out as great very friendly and their employees were friendly too!!…read more Then it became apparent the plumbers they sent were not on par. The workmanship was shoddy and I had leaks in everything they installed. I had a sink, toilet, shower, and fridge water line installed. The toilet leaked first and they took days to come fix it saying the error was cracked toilet. It wasn't. It was installed poorly and didn't seal. That destroyed my hardwood floor because they wouldn't respond promptly. Then my sink drain leaked ruining the inside of my vanity because they didn't tighten the sink down and didn't seal the entire drain with plumber putty. I had to repair that myself since they didn't respond to my request for them to come repair the leak. Then my shower leaked because they put a joint in the middle of the pex line to the shower head instead of replacing the line with a new pipe and didn't tighten it correctly. Also, the shower head was installed 2" off center from the mixing valve which I thankfully caught before tiling. I work as a construction project manager and this was by far the worst I've seen. Avoid them at all costs. Maybe I got the guys who didn't know what they were doing but I have no idea how anyone is giving them more than 1 star.....

1 Star - Only for arriving on time, otherwise zero…read more If you don't want to read the long review: Extremely unprofessional, overpriced, failed to unclog the drain, and tried to upsell unnecessary major sewer replacement work with another company. I moved into a 1960s-70s home and soon had a basement main drain clog. I chose Allen's Plumbing based on their high ratings. They arrived on time but immediately began criticizing my real estate agent and home inspector, boasting about decades of experience. He spent less than 30 minutes with a snake, claimed it could not go past 50 ft, and pulled out only a small amount of debris and fine roots--about the size of a fist--yet dramatically acted as if my sewer was severely damaged. On-site, he pressured me to call my agent, rudely criticized them over the phone, and claimed I had only two options: dig up the basement or the yard, costing about $5,000. He insisted the pipe was broken and needed replacing, and charged $265 for the day's "work." He then called in another company with a camera (Kowski's Sewer Service), quoting another $250. This second company was equally unprofessional, failed to locate the blockage, and suggested I check with insurance about replacement. They also damaged my drain plug and left a filthy mess. The next day, through my teacher's contact, I hired another plumber--professional, clean, and determined. He used a snake to go 100 ft, removed a long arm's-length mass of debris, and found the real culprit: a clump of wet wipes. Problem solved without any pipe replacement. Clearly, my pipe was not broken. Allen's Plumbing exploits customers' lack of technical knowledge to push unnecessary major repairs. This is unprofessional and shameful. Businesses like this will not last long. I will continue to post reviews and file complaints on other platforms to warn others and prevent more people from being deceived and losing their money.

Timely response. Great diagnosis. Pleasant. Very reasonably price. I would highly recommend him.read more

Absolutely THE WORST HVAC company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I was ripped off…read moreby EX-CEO Matt on two different locations, Mine and my fathers. First I paid for a new Furnace, AC unit, and tankless water heater. After the install I found out instead of installing the SER 16.2 I paid for they installed a 15.4 instead at my house. Both my father and I were told we had sign up for the service contract and that they would service our equipment for free. In the beginning it seemed like a great deal. I also had my water main break and that was all this initial call was for. I was able to fix the main break on my own and did not need the service. It took Whitney so long that they had already installed the AC and furnace but not fixed the water. When I told Matt I didn't need he stated he had all his profit wrapped in that portion and that I would need to pay another 4k... My father had an AC and Furnace. They did not give him the de-humidifier he paid for because the install tech had a dull drill bit and inadequate tools, it took him 4+ hours to drill through the wall. My father offered a better bit and drill, the employee refused. SO he did not get what he paid for either. Fast forward to the after the first winter and my fathers AC is not working. WHiteny comes out and tells him he has a leak, service plan expired (even though they never came out for wither of us) and he would need to pay them. He then called the office and spoke with the office manager who stated he would not have to pay. Later I call I have to my service completed that I paid for at install (more than $4350 after the additional extorted $4000. ) just to find out my service plan expired and I also will need to pay after they completed the service, not before. I call the manager explain the situation let them know I am not going to pay, they say that's totally understandable, the AC unit should not be leaking when barely a year old. THIS WHOLE TIME THEY BILL ME FOR EVERYTHING. My dads service, mine, just everything. I call ask them for the 10th time to straighten out our accounts, explained again the entire situation to Margot. She says she will fix it, and talk with the higher ups and get this resolved. Instead she then Billed my father for services from MY house and his house! This company is hot pile of crap and is the biggest mess I have ever seen. If they continue to harass us over their fraudulent charges and business practices, we will see them in court. You sold me a 16.2 and installed a 15.4 thinking you were slick. You lied about your service plan, and over charges customers because your employees had poor tolls and improper equipment (Install tech tried to drill through a 12" wall with a dull bit and dead right angle battery drill). My father and I expect an apology. Thank you.
