Up, however is a welcome change on the drinking scene, and fills a gaping hole in the previously pub-dominated nightlife sector. Decor: awesome -upstairs above the hugely successful Garrison on Queen St, tasteful and subtle lounge-bar feel. Wine: GREAT list, most good global regions represented very well, some interesting grapes, and nice to see HIGH quality Canadian bottles. Prices are really impressively reasonable for such good wine, and potentially pretentious surroundings ;-) Service: Knowledgeable and very friendly. DEFINITELY one for my 'must-do' list each time I'm in town!

Seating about 20-30 people, this wine bar has a lot to offer. Great selection of wine both by the bottle and by the glass, easily broken down by taste profile to make choosing easier; good selection of traditional cocktails, beers, tequilas and scotch's. Although one can't order food from downstairs, they do offer great little cheese plates and meat trays that are ready to go on demand. We were there on a Wednesday night, which just happens to be their tasting night... Although I wasn't in the "mood" for a beer tasting, having the owner cotinuosly bring us a little sampler of the beers being offered made it hard to resist. We had a bottle of wine and a couple cocktails and ended up with a cheese plate and meat tray before the night was over. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can be sure that this will be a regular spot when I am in Fredericton on business in the future.

Have had a few poutines from here, and as somebody who's had poutines from up and down New Brunswick I must say they have the best poutine south of the Miramichi river. A few places up in the Acadian Peninsula still have them beat but it's still way better than what they serve at fast food joints and even Smoke's Poutinerie, as St. Louis's fries are crispy, their curds actually are squeaky, and gravy's good. The garlic sauce they add adds a unique kick and extra flavour to it that I like quite a bit! I usually have my poutine with a burger. They're very good, and look homemade, at least to me. Nothing that could possibly hope to defeat the reigning kings at rocket burger, but still pretty good. The cocktails are very nice. My friend has only good things to say about the flight, and I have only good things to say about the raspberry mock tail I had. Place was clean, and it's a nice environment, especially on the outdoor dining area. VERY friendly staff who work at okay speeds. Parking is easy to get, despite it's location downtown. Overall, not the greatest place in the world, but still a great time, I recommend St. Louis bar and grill.

Servers are friendly and the manager's great, letting a couple people stay late for a game that's going long, and making everyone feel welcome during the Canada vs. USA hockey game on that Sunday at 9am.... They even had 5 breakfast options which they don't normally do. Shoutout to server/bartender Laura who is super attentive, always remembers what I drink, and when it's time to pour another. Also thankfully they are downtown with lots of parking. Definitely recommended.

The food was very good. We enjoy the Italian Steak Harvest bowl and Cilantro Lime rice bowl with shrimp. Both were delicious and left us feeling comfortably full with energy to continuing driving. The shrimp was marinated in the cilantro bowl and the dressing has a perfect balance of cilantro and lime. The cilantro blends in and does not overpower the bowl. The roasted pumpkin seeds and red cabbage added nice crunch to the bowl. The steak was cooked perfect and was cut into bite sized pieces before being cooked. The greens were fresh. ****They are having a raffle to win a golf bag and golf shirts during the month of August! You are given free raffle tickets at the end of the meal! **** For drinks I got the refreshing non-alcoholic cucumber lime drink and my friend got the Canada IPA which was smooth and hoppy. We would happily eat here again if ever in the Fredericton area.

You must drive around the back of low rent apartments to access the site. Which has a sketchy feel. There is very little meat in the meals, which is disappointing. The enchiladas had virtually no meat, just rolled tortillas. They came with rice was fine and beans that were tasty but salty. They could cut back on the salt. I would say the meal cost them only $1 in ingredients. Margherita's were ok but nothing special. We did not try the washroom because we heard not good things. The impression is that they are cheating out. The need to put more meat in the meals. But it was a unique experience. I found the googl reviews too generous.

Something disagreed with me very badly. My wife was fine, so suspect something in the burrito. Original post - Had our visit this evening. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Started with house made chips. The guacamole and pico were very good, but the chips were too spicy and not warm. They messed with my pallet, so was hard to assess the spiciness of the other food. I'd give the birria taco and the fried chicken taco a 4 out of 5 and probably a 3.5 out of 5 for the burrito. Mexican sodas were great. Food is definitely more authentic than what I would usually find in other chain restaurants like Mexi's. I'd say my overall rating is somewhere between 3.5 and 4. Since I can't figure out to give a half of a star, I'll lean towards the 4 out of 5.
