As luck would have it, Mat F. let me know that I happened to still be just under the 5y/60k power train warranty at 57,853 miles (can I get an amen...), and the repair was covered in full. Not only did they cover the repair, but my vehicle was also finished and ready to be picked up by 3:30pm. Outstanding turnaround, and I've never experienced a simpler transaction. Thanks again!

Quirk put rear brakes on my Subaru 1.5 years ago at a cost of $600. Those brakes failed after only…read more20,000 miles of use (mostly highway miles on Rte 1). Brakes are supposed to last 30,000-60,000 miles. The front brakes that weren't replaced by Quirk lasted 80,000 miles, which is a good indication of my senior driving style. Quirk and National Subaru essentially said "too bad", the warranty was 1 year. I hope there will be a the class action suit to reimburse consumers for the crappy brakes Quirk and perhaps other Subaru service depts. are using. For this reason, I would not recommend Quirk for brake replacements.
