I purchased my 2020 Subaru just two weeks ago from a different Darling's dealership in the area…read morewith minimal warranty. Last night when I started it, the check engine light came on, and a whole host of other dash lights were quick to follow. Early this morning, I took it to my local garage to get the code scanned, and much to my dismay, it was the dreaded TCV... So around 8:30 this morning, I brought her in to Quirk Subaru to have them take a look and assess it for warranty coverage. As luck would have it, Mat F. let me know that I happened to still be just under the 5y/60k power train warranty at 57,853 miles (can I get an amen...), and the repair was covered in full. Not only did they cover the repair, but my vehicle was also finished and ready to be picked up by 3:30pm. Outstanding turnaround, and I've never experienced a simpler transaction. Thanks again!

Brakes are supposed to last 30,000-60,000 miles. The front brakes that weren't replaced by Quirk lasted 80,000 miles, which is a good indication of my senior driving style. Quirk and National Subaru essentially said "too bad", the warranty was 1 year. I hope there will be a the class action suit to reimburse consumers for the crappy brakes Quirk and perhaps other Subaru service depts. are using. For this reason, I would not recommend Quirk for brake replacements.

He lied 6 x and over stupid stuff I could google. He was the cliche: We certainly wouldn't want Your car. The Car you want will be a Huge Hassle to get, but we will sacrifice & get it for you. The amount you intend to pay? Oh, it will be Thousands more, Did I know because of fear of Tarriffs Portland is adding $3k above MSRP? Blue, oh Blue is Very hard to find. BS LOL Paint protection is a scam by the way. A Manger named Trey apologized. Youtube has hundreds of short clips on what to do and know. Because the Brian's of the World exist I urge you to just spend an hour getting pre-approved with a bank, do not fall for the garbage and 100% be happy to Walk Away. Dealers are everywhere. It will fall to you to know what you want and what you are willing to accept. If you were Wealthy you wouldn't be reading this. You worked hard for your money, don't get scammed. Buyer beware. It is absolutely possible for the Salesman to make a fair cut AND for you at the same time to get a fair deal. These men spend all day, every day for years learning how to extract every possible penny out of you. Snakes will always be Snakes, but you do not have to be a victim. Use your phone. Browse online. Have a Plan B. Stick to what is right for your finances. Honda will be just dandy no matter what.

She limped into Darling's and one of the service team took over from there. Connor (I don't have his last name but I will encourage my daughter to name her first child after him!) was fantastic. He led us through every step of what turned out to be very bad news - a ruined transmission - informing us of what the options and costs were. Connor made numerous calls to find a rebuilt or new transmission and calls to my friend's husband to get his input. Unfortunately, none of the options were good. Connor ultimately arranged a rental car for us so that we could enjoy the last few days of our holiday and then he was the point person on getting the van shipped back to Idaho where it 'lives'. We are so thankful for Connor's help in all of this and were so pleased that we had someone who with kindness and understanding and a touch of humor walked us through the whole process. Thanks Connor.

I took my Ford Transit in to have the brake pads replaced because I'm a hearing impaired disabled…read moreveteran and can't hear the brake indicators till it is too late. When that happens it often can cost $1500 to $2000 because by then the calipers and rotors are usually bad. I told the service rep, "I didn't want to play the garage brake game so just change the pad." They charged me $170 and changed NO Pads. So the GM saw my bad review and called to say they'd come good for the poor service and replace my pads. Against my better judgement I took in in. The service rep asked if I wanted a mechanic to test drive it and I said, "No I just want you to replace all the brake pads like you were suppose to do the 1st time." When I got it back and they had only replaced 2 brake pads. So,I wrote to the GM and told him, " if my Ford Transit broke down in front of the dealership I'd tow it to a garage that can count to 4." Didn't hear anymore from him because he knew I was disgusted and done with Darlings. Worst experience I ever had at a garage and I'm 72 years old . Earlier, Darlings told me I needed to have the brake fluid replaced after 2 yrs. I asked how much and was quoted $200. I took it to my regular mechanic and he did it for $40. So he'll get ALL my work now. I don't like being scammed. They talk a good game but when it come to doing the work you want, it is like pulling teeth.

I mean whoever heard of such a thing, 34,000 dollars, CASH and they cant put the racks on. I cant unless I have the tools, I paid for the bars but they are useless to me (201 dollars). So I called quirk and told them that I was coming in Tuesday after the holiday, either have a check for me or take me in immediately, this is abuse. The person on the phone said they notify each department, like I believe that after the way I have been treated) would someone who knows what they are doing there and understands how this works from Quirk corporate please contact me. Let's just put this to bed...call me and resolve this once and for all. All I ask is you finish this sale and sell me the car I paid for, not in pieces or give me my money back and I know there are plenty of car dealers in this beautiful state who would love my cash. I want the car I paid for and I dont deserve to sit and waste my time in your waiting room due to you errors. . I spent my Monday afternoon there (8/29/22) because of what you failed to do and now I have to come back again for another thing you failed to do...I will not sit around there again waiting, I paid a lot for this car and all I want is what I paid for, a complete car. PLEASE SOMEONE FROM QUIRK PICK UP YOUR PHONE AND CALL ME. IT WONT BE HARD TO FIGURE OUT WHO I AM. Like I said I am 63, I have bought a lot of cars and I have never seen a thing like this, ever. Pure abuse

Vehicle was serviced by quirk for a recall in Nov 2013 with 38429 miles, Safety recall N08/NHTSA…read more13V-038 Rear Axle Pinion Nut. The recall required a lock nut to be installed as the rear axle pinion nut were reported to loosen due to undersized pinion shaft splines which results in the rear axle to seize and cause the drive shaft to separate and stop vehicle. On 5/24/19 at 0030 hours this same vehicle with 64084 miles had the rear axle seize and drive shaft separate and fall to the ground and vehicle immediately come to a stop nearly going off the road. On 5/30/19 I was informed by a certified Dodge dealer service Manger (Lee Dodge of Westbrook Maine) that the repairs totaling $3361.85 should be disputed as the damage resulted from an improperly done Recall for this issue. The Lock nut was not installed. Numerous attempts to work this issue out with Dodge/Chrysler have been unsuccessful, in fact the Service Regional Manager for both dealers refused to acknowledge the issue and will not contact me to discuss. She refused claiming I may have had work done and the pinion nut removed. Up until this mechanical failure I was under the impression that the vehicle had a lifetime drive tran warranty and would of never paid for work to be done. Quirk and Regional Manager who refused to contact me provided no help and extremely poor customer service.
