Ordering the usual vermouth rojo, patatas bravas and boquerones en vinagre

The place is a bit pricey for tapas, but I guess it's as expected from a somewhat higher end tapas place compared to other hole in the wall type tapas but still very good.

It is recommended by the hotel concierge and we saw it has pretty good reviews so we decided to give it a go. We stood awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant for somebody to show us where our table is, the bar tender ask us to seat ourselves anywhere. And we told him that Our concierge called ahead to reserved us a table but they said there's no record. But he said he'll get us a seat so that's settled after such fuss. We sat for a long time until there's actually someone to take our drink order. And when we finally order our food, it took a long time to come. I'd be ok if the mains take long but most of the food we ordered are appetizers. What upset me the most is that the whole time we are sitting there, there are only two other tables that is occupied so there's really no point of making such a big deal about if we have make a reservation or not! So the service here I give it a 2.5/5 The food was good but I guess we are a little bummed so it's not exactly extraordinary to us. We had cod fritter- 3.5/5, fried calamari - 3.5/5, patata Bravas 4/5, and a steak with padron pepper 2/5 ( it is extremely salty and the portion is so tiny.) Wine was ok, forgot which exactly I had but mine was white and my boyfriend got the sparkling. I think we are a little disappointed

Whole Grilled Sepia w/Squid Ink & Paprika. (Stunning plating & mind blowing flavor!)

Stumbled upon this small tapas bar on an afternoon walk & stopped for an early evening cocktail & appetizer before heading back to the hotel. We had the most delicious whole grilled sepia w/squid ink & paprika which was so good we had to come back a 2nd time a few nights later. One of the best dishes we had the entire 2 weeks spent in Spain!

So happy to have stumbled upon this place after a long day of walking around the city. We were so happy to have the best old fashioned and sit outside enjoying the vibrant neighborhood. Best start to the night. Shah is the best and knows how to make a great drink.

Best pick in Barcelona. The music and ambiance alone are worth the visit. Add the amazing staff and host, Sangria and perfect steak with pumpkin sauce... wait the dessert is yet to come. Don't miss this place.

Nice ambience. You need this on a date!

Great vibe! Go to Quillo for a date. Everyone is. Several nights the crowd spills out into the street. Why not? even in February it was just the right amount of coolness. And you could smoke and talk well into the evening. But I found the food lacklustre. Potatos bravas too greasy. The calamari too salty. Could it be I just ordered the wrong things? I hate it when I do that!

I've found the thing I want to marry. The conversation will be awkward for my mom.... hi, mom...yes I'm getting married to Pan con tomate... it's not a boy. It is however the love of my life for today. Yup... may need to keep looking for a nice person to wed. Until then, when you are here have the fantastic pan con tomate. It come deconstructed on a plate which is genius. With a nice cava it is a wonderful light dinner along with some sides. They eat at 8pm folks...8pm. How is this possible. When do they sleep?

Good food, good prices! Best patatas bravas we've had yet. Live spanish guitar music at 2230!

Wife and I traveled all over Europe and when we were in Barcelona and asked some locals where to get the best paella in town, they all said this place. Although paella is for tourists, our food tour guide who is from Spain said it's been over 5 years since he's had paella. The food was pretty good, I be had better but the service and staff were amazing, which is why it's 4 stars. The location is literally beach front so you hear the crashing waves while sipping wine and enjoying seafood dishes. Great night and great experience.

A hidden jewel in Barcelona! We loved this place: great food, great service, full of locals, great price. Especially the paella menu including dessert and tapas was excellent. Highly recommendable!

    The amazing local vermouth.

Stumbled across this bar/restaurant while wandering aimlessly around the Old Town Barcelona. It opened three months ago and is popular with locals. Not a single tourist to be seen here (except us) which was a major bonus. Decor is perfect. Lots of tables. A long bar and an outdoor terrace for drinks and dining. The tapas menu was exquisite. We had delicious jamon iberico. The oxtail was quite possibly the best I've ever had. The octopus was fresh and not overcooked. Our bartender Max was friendly and happy to add more wine to my tinto de verano when I thought it was too sweet. My boyfriend enjoyed the vermouth which is made locally. Cannot recommend this place more highly. We will definitely be back again.

Cozy place with wonderful food, nice music and good service. Nothing can be better to sit there and watching people passing. Will definitely come again.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. The foie gras was absolutely unforgettable--rich, delicate, and simply to die for. The sangria was equally exceptional, fresh, balanced, and dangerously delicious. If you're visiting Barcelona, don't just come here for dinner. Come here to fall in love with the food, the city, the moment, or maybe even someone sitting across the table. Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.
