Stopped here to grab a sandwich during my lunch break. We don't have Quik Stops in Alameda, so I had to look around and see what they have. Quik Stop is not a 7-11. This Quik Stop has the basics like drinks, beer, cigs, lottery, candy, snacks, and hot coffee. The store fixtures look old, and in need of an upgrade. There's no hot food area. No sandwich cooler. No fancy merchandise displays. Pretty boring store. The clerk was friendly, as I told him we didn't have Quik Stops in Alameda. The egg sandwich I bought wasn't really fresh, but wasn't stale either. This station has a small gas island with 2 pumps. When it's busy, the line of cars extends into the street. On Feb 12, 2021, the price of UL Reg was $3.35/ gal The GOOD NEWS is.....this store/gas station is right next to the I-680 freeways ramps! I will never ever come here again. Filled my tank up and go inside to fill an empty cup with ice. As I walk out, the two workers asked if I was going to pay for that. I was in complete shock but and said, "really, its just ice." Main dude proceeds to tell me, "If I'm telling you, I'm serious" with a mean mug. I ask how much and the side dude tells me its the price of the soda cup with attitude of his own. I will never, ever come here. I will take it a step further, I advise everyone to never come here as well. I went through the comments and it looks like these clowns have been flexing on their customers for awhile. Trash employees, trash attitudes. If Quikstop tries to apologize on here but justify their ice denial, I'll leave another negative comment so dont bother with that Quikstop. read more

This business used to be a friendly Family owned business that catered to the community and traveling visitors. They were always at service during the pandemic, and friendly and helpful. I have patronized "Quick Stop" stores since the Mid 70's. This store happens to be the closest store in our neighborhood, and have continued to patronize them for critical purchases including Auto Fuel and personal sundries, and snacks. Since the previous owner sold, it was taken over by Corporate Office 2022. The manager is possibly a good manager, as well as almost all of the employees except for one. There are also a number of reports on other sites such as local8nearme from the locals that since last year pricing issues at the Gas Pumps as well and filed reports. Perhaps this is the reason for the very bad behaviors some have witnessed? Beware! The employee named "M" has been a bully to many of the regular customers and generally has some control issues. Employee likes to exert control over all in the store, unreasonably so and does not recognize that customer service is the key and demands that you cannot have 1st ammendment rights of freedom of speech in the store. Clerk acts as if they will beat you up if you do not agree with employee or if you ask questions. Are there possible past traumas in their life that have create a very mean spirited and angry individual? Clerk overexerts their employee status working at a convenience store within our community. This is not just my observation but those she/he/they works with and a number of other people and families within our community as well. This business shares a small strip mall with two businesses that serve our community with childrens activities, and had spoken with a few of the parents within our community that "M" also treats them with disregard and the children are frightened ofemployee. We live in a multicultural area, and they are attending afterschool and evening Academic Tutoring classes, and activities such as Martial Arts and Music Classes. It has been observed, as we have within our community a high number of Homeless residents that continue to reside in nearby areas, that are also dependant on this small shop for vital needs such as food, gas, medical and personal sundries, it has been observed by the community that our un-housed neighbors have been treated with condescending attitude towards some of these individuals that have been displaced from the Pandemic. Our community actively advocates for and cares for our less fortunate, and are watching closely. The employee "M" does not live here but only works in the community and has no empathy for our community. Somedays she/he/they is fine, than other days passive/agressive and other days employee is agressive/agressive. Perhaps a BiPolar patient or to help identify the personality disorder or professional psychotherapy analysis would be in order? In short she/he/they is bad for business and perhaps needs to put on vacation or leave or relocated to a Non-Customer Service position. Clerks demeanor is innapropriate, abrasive, condescending and clearly does not like other people nor co-workers. This business changed hands in the middle of the pandemic in 2022. And did not follow Guidelines and Mandates from the State of California nor Alameda County for the mitigation of Covid-19. The employee "M" did not wear a mask during this time, nor offered to use hand sanitizers as courtesy and did not show any care in handeling customers personal items during the pandemic nor respect for the indivduals when they expressed concerns or asked questions. Patrons are concerned about this issue and "M" hiding behind Corporate Rules and bullied the patrons. She/he/they exhibited possibly interacial prejudices on occasions. Most people that were have spoken to did not appreciate this negligence. Noting that Alameda County was in lock step with the State of California and on Alameda County to Require Masking Again in Most Public Places - June 2, 2022. Due to a recent increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, Alameda County public health officials have announced that masks will be required in most public settings beginning Friday, June 3. These mandates were not followed in this store nor enforced throughout this time. Service is good unlike some the nearby convenience stores even though the cashier is not that friendly. but she's helpful. Close to 680 for a quick gas fill and pick up snacks/drinks/cigars. Dear Quik Stop, Please replace your sad, tattered looking squeegee that looks like it is in the ICU and ready to go. Your gas station is busy - high volume area considering it's located right next to the 680 ramp. Lots of cars. And only one squeegee bin to be shared in all its glory between 4 pumps. Yet, the last several times I have been there to pump gas, it's the same shitty squeegee that awaits to greet me. Most of the times, it sits in some sickly water that should probably be changed. Other times, it sits there in a shallow pool of water. I can already recognize the long wooden red handle every time...and I know. I know it's the same crappy ass squeegee where the sponge is starting to fall off and looking like last month's leftover steak. I pick it up and plop it down on my windshield. I have to be careful as the sponge is depressed and no longer has the resiliency it had in its youth. It's almost as if I'm cleaning my windows with a block of Spam. I don't understand. He recognizes me when i come in, and when i haven't been in awhile he asks where i have been and how i am doing, in a genuinely friendly & non-creepy way. additionally, their coffee & cappuccino is frequently any size for 99 cents -- can't beat that! i would advise against buying any of their milk products, one time i bought half and half here only to realize it was expiring on that very day. actually now that i think about it, not buying milk products at a gas station is probably a general and well-known rule of thumb. hopefully me admitting that i bought a milk product and didn't check the expiration date until after it was purchased doesn't decrease my merit as a yelper :P read more

I stopped here on the way back for visiting a friend in the hills of Fremont because I needed to get some gasoline, and get a cup of coffee. I always knew about this store, when I drove-by on my to Ohlone College, but seldom drop in because the gasoline pumps are extremely busy and there is only 2 pumps. I decided to get my gasoline here because it was not crowded at the gasoline pumps, and I really needed the gasoline. Price was comparable to other off-brand retailers. One plus for this station is that it takes credit without extra charges. The convenience store itself is fine for the cup of coffee. When I stopped by they were having a special price for hot coffee or 32 oz. soft drink, for 69-cents a cup, which is a lot less compared to getting a refill at other convenience stores. The coffee itself was fine and did the job of warming me on a cold evening. The store is located near the on-ramp to the 680 in Fremont, and it would make a great stop to getting some coffee and snacks before getting on the road. Overall, an O.K. stop for a snack and coffee. However, for the gasoline stop, I would be reluctant because of the lack of pumps - I would use a off-brand gasoline station which is more user-friendly. read more

Anyway, I walked in to get a drink this morning, and found that the pumps were closed and there was a team of guys removing the counter where the registers were. I love them! Cheap cigarettes (2 menthol light camel packs for under $8) and cheap gas! Anywhere else, $10 will give me a quarter tank. Over here, it gives me a little less than a half tank. Kinda nice surprise! Vietnamese owned and operated. The only thing crappy about this place is waiting for a pump. They only have 4 pumps because it's a small place, and people know the value of a good deal in Fremont, because let's face it....we're all cheap here! The waiting can get taxing because jerk drivers will try to cut you off and steal the pump you've been waiting the last 10 minutes for, which makes you want to get out and smack them so hard they fly back to Timbuktu, but then you remember what your Mother taught you, and you calm down before the possibility of getting sued arises. This place is always the cheapest place in Fremont to get gas. I think the prices are always comparable to the Costco in Fremont, if not one of two cents cheaper. Although there are only 4 pumps, I've rarely had more than 1 car in font of me waiting and that's only during the busier hours of 8-9 am and 5-7 pm so if you go during other times there is usually hardly any wait. I also enjoy the fact that the owner will let me pump air into my car tires for free. (Yes, I do realize it only costs like 25 cents or so but I'm just that cheap) Also, as everyone else has mentioned, you can't use the restroom here. read more

It's a small convenient store that has most of the essentials. Candy, chips, sodas and beer to name the bulk of what's inside. The owners are decent, not the friendliest but I've never had issues with them. The main reason I stop here is the cheap gas across from the 680 onramp. Although the gas is cheap, depending on the times you go, it's a pain to get. There are 4 pumps in the tiniest area with people waiting in the street or blocking the entrance while waiting in line for the pumps. Ok, I admit I use the Quik Stop here as well as the location on Farwell, depending on where I need to be in Fremont. Like the Farwell store, this Quik Stop has comparatively lower gas prices and also the difficulty of getting to the pumps when lines are long. Sometimes the card readers on the pumps can be finicky, but thankfully not lately. However, long lines are less likely here. And the relationship of the station to 680 couldn't be much better. I do like the convenience store on Farwell marginally better, mostly for size and layout, for the few times I've been in either. read more

I have found that when i fill up, the fuel dispensed is more than the max capacity of my fuel tank (as per my Toyota Camry official manual) by about 1/2 gal (when filling ~15.5gal). Since i don't drive to almost fully empty often, i don't have good statistics. Anyone else seen this? It is a very popular spot due to it's low prices, but I don't know if this is a faulty pump / mistake or methodical issue since these "faults" add up quickly (as people pump hundreds of gallons a day & but the "error" is small enough for individual motorists to not catch it. read more

Cheap gas, but just a heads up, no bathrooms or cash back. I was also a bit creeped out and felt out of place.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We broke down on the freeway and were towed here. While we waited for help with the car we asked to use the bathroom. The lady at the counter wouldnt let us use it even after explaining our situation: no car, on the side of the road for 30 minutes, at least another 30 to go. Poor service can NEVER make up for low prices. I will avoid this place forever and I advise everyone to do the same. read more

Pros: Gas price is generally lower than stations around the area. They accept credit cards. Cons: They only have 4 pumps (2 on each side). It's very difficult to get in and out of the area, sometimes cars line up on the street just to get in to the pump. The area does not feel safe at night. However, Fremont Gasoline on Grimmer has now undeniably become the least expensive gas station that accepts credit cards in Fremont. The employees are nice, and the convenience store is pretty standard for any quick stop. read more
