Then CVS texted me right the way that they had my prescription and it would be ready by 10 am . I was driving over there and it texted me again that my order would be delayed . By 10:12 am the system texted me saying that my prescription was ready . The pharmacy pick up counter had a long line . They had two cashiers and the line was moving fairly quickly. I like that they have one line for " regular pick up " and one line for " mobile pick up " . Mine was mobile so I got to reach the cash register after one person ahead of me . The caster / technician was very helpful and efficient. I went in and out in no time ! On a Sunday morning and with all the holiday shopping . This kind of service was super helpful.

I went in to cash in a scratcher where I won $25, and then I bought a $20 and a $5 scratcher. I also got a Gatorade, and they gave us free refreshments! When we were leaving, I thanked them, and my boyfriend did too. The older guy even offered us free bananas--two of them! They were so welcoming, and honestly, I've never had a gas station or even a 7-Eleven be that kind--offering free drinks and bananas. And the best part: I ended up winning big! I just spent an hour on hold waiting to speak to a pharmacist, since the prescriptions that were prescribed to me when leaving the ER weren't ready when I was ready to go home, only to be hung up on... TWICE. I tried the automated check status option, and it said that BOTH (very common) prescriptions were on order and they would reach out when they were ready. On order? You have to order common antibiotics? This isn't treatment for an obscure tropical disease - it's normal "hey, I just got released from the ER and they sent me home with some standard meds that everyone has taken before" kind of treatment. And one would think, that being almost RIGHT NEXT TO the ER, they would be able to fill such prescriptions without an issue and in a somewhat timely manner. But no, here we are, on a Friday night, almost 4 hours after I got released from the hospital and no meds in sight. The only reason I didn't have them change it to my regular pharmacy was that I wanted to make sure I had them for the night so that I could take them as ordered by the doctor, and my normal pharmacy is not 24 hours and was closing soon. Anytime I am unfortunate enough to need to call there, I know I'm in for at least 45 - 60 minutes to speak to a human. They pick up the phone, then put you back on hold multiple times, and then finally it rings and rings, and an automated voice comes on and says "we're having difficulties, please call back later." Oh, you're definitely having difficulties. Once, they put someone else's prescription in my husband's bag (the one they give you stapled shut) and he had to go all the way back, and then they made him wait for them to fill HIS prescription because they had given his to another person. And they had the audacity to act like it was his fault for not pulling open the stapled bag before he left the parking lot to make sure they hadn't committed a HIPAA violation. Zero stars. Unless you have literally no other choice, avoid this place like the plague. Cause if you do have the plague, G*d knows you can't get whatever prescription you need to treat it filled at this Walgreen's location before you die like a medieval peasant.
