The food was alright. The only thing that was good on the menu was the nachos. But the food wasn't the issue. It's the staff. They were so rude. They brought out some of our food and we didn't get the other half till everyone else was pretty much done eating. They didn't even apologize for forgetting our food. My experience here was terrible. The food was okay, but extremely greasy. The biggest problem was the service. They were very rude to us while we looked at the menu for a while. Also, it was blizzarding outside and a mom and two kids asked if they could warm up in ten restaurant, but the staff at the front told them no. We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat tonight. The interior decor is charming and inviting. Loved the exposed brick. Food: The chips and guacamole were pretty good, although the amount of chips was definitely on the small side. The burrito was really good, and the chicken "gringa" was pretty good but only comes with melted cheese and chicken. There are toppings you can go get for yourself at the salsa bar, but the lack of anything on the tacos was disappointing. Lastly, the side of smashed pinto beans and rice were tasty and not overly salty. Now for the cons or oddities: the only utensils available were plastic spoons, no utensils came with your meal when they brought it out. You had to pick up a spoon over by the condiment bar. The food came on nice wooden trays with butcher paper on top, but then the beans and rice were put in styrofoam cups in top, or the guacamole in a plastic disposable cup, and really thin, cheap paper napkins in dispensers. Same with the water cups, cheap, white, plastic and disposable. There was also a flat screen tv on the upper corner of the bar area, and they were playing Ice age the cartoon movie. It was on mute so you could still hear the Mexican music playing, but that was just one more mismatch to the decor and food. So, my takeaway is that this place has the potential to dial it up several notches and become a really nice, unique Mexican restaurant- and that would include making the bar a real bar and serve adult beverages! Or, they might as well dial things way down and be another disposable only non-service to-go, chintzy fast food Mexican place. read more

Really great place! The food is really cheap and really flavorful and good. Everything was really authentic (nothing is smothered in cheese). The service was great. The atmosphere is really cool. It's a really cool old building near center street and the decorations are cool. Everything is very clean. Overall great experience! We have really struggled to find good Mexican food in utah but this place is good! read more

Love this place! My new go-to. They have fresh salsas and toppings for the street tacos. I like to load 'em up! Elote is amazing, and great value at $3. Have tried the chilaquiles and nachos as well. Both were great. I never post reviews, feel like I need to for this joint though because whenever I go in there it's not that busy and it makes me so sad. I want this place to stick around!!!! We were craving street tacos and Quiero Mas did not disappoint. I can't say which I liked better. The tortillas were perfect, such great corn flavor and they stayed together to the last bite. Maybe the carnitas were the best. Or maybe the chicken, so moist. I forgot to mention the green sauce! Yum! read more

I am a taco fan always but these were delicious and super fresh. I also appreciated the effort of the nice lady at the counter to figure out how I can have avocado instead guacamole because I am allergic to cilantro. I suspect many of the 5 star reviews are fakes. Ate there based on these and nothing could get even 2 stars from us. Steak plate was tough, overcooked and flavorless. The sides were mediocre at best. My wife had chicken plate--over salted and tough. Salsas were completely bland. Taking a hard pass on any Quiero Mas in the future--will try the pizza next door on next visit. I wonder if this review will still be posted tomorrow--looks like they "pick their favorites". read more
