Always worth it to come to Quickway for their hibachi. It's good food especially for the price! The wait is never long and the food always comes out hot and fresh. This review is based solely on their hibachi since I have not tried their sushi yet. The yum yum sauce could be better. It blander than most and seems watered down. The interior could use some work. When I came to pick up lunch last time the right door to enter the building was broken. read more

I ordered from here on DoorDash tonight and my tummy is satisfied. I got a shrimp bento box with vegetable fried rice and the shrimp tempura roll. The bento box is massive. I could've ordered that alone and been fine, but I was also craving sushi. I'm saving most of the fried rice and vegetables for tomorrow. The bento box was pretty good. The vegetables tasted very fresh (I love my veggies). The rice was a little sticky for my liking, but the shrimp was good and plentiful. The California rolls were standard, and the dumplings & spring rolls were both good. The only negative I have for those is that they did not include a sauce for them. Luckily I keep sweet chilli sauce in my fridge. The shrimp tempura roll was okay. It had a slight bitterness to it that I think is because it was fried in old oil. The bento box arrived piping hot, which I liked. This was after being the second stop on the delivery. Overall, I think Quickway Japanese is solid and I would order from them again if I want a quick sushi/bento meal. read more

I stopped in for a quick lunch. There was a slight delay as the doors just opened and there were about 8 ppl already in line. Once the team got going there was faster smoother service. I ordered a Bento Box and enjoyed the variety in the selection. The beef was tender and flavorful, the dumplings and spring rolls were good. The California roll was not super fresh but served its purpose. I wish there were more sauces provided. With the Bento box items you would traditionally receive soy sauce, dumpling sauce, duck/sweet sour sauce, and yum yum sauce. I only received yum yum sauce. The restaurant needs more storage as tons of boxes were stacked in the front taking away from the welcoming appeal. read more

Great spot to grab food; I tried the Shrimp Tempura & Hibachi sushi rolls. The food was fresh; I have zero complaints.

Food was great and employees very friendly. Place was clean and ordering was easy and received food very quickly. Reminded me of the old Sarku that was in the Annapolis mall read more

I've come here a few times and each time there's a line. Think that says a lot about how popular this place is. Overall it's great quick takeout food. I typically get the chicken and steak plate with a side of veggie rolls. The only downside I have is their steak isn't as tender. read more

Quickway Japanese Hibachi - Steak and chicken plate with fried rice and extra yummy sauce - Japanese Near Me - Laurel, Maryland

We came here on a Thursday rainy evening on 6/4/20. Due to the pandemic, only 5 customers are allowed inside. You need to wait outside until someone exits. The employees are all wearing masks, and there are clear plastic partitions between customers and employees. We had hibachi chicken and tofu that came with a choice of 2 sides (we chose noodles and mixed vegetables) for $8.45. The portions were large. Although teriyaki sauce was poured on top, the meat was dry and some pieces were over cooked that it looked like beef instead of chicken. One container of yum yum sauce is free per entree, but it will cost 50 cents each for more. It used to be free without any limit. There is a rewards stamp card. After 5 hibachi entrees are purchased, you will get a free hibachi chicken entree. There is an incentive to return! read more

The food service was perfect and the food. Dont even get me started. The best food from any food place i have had in a while. The wait time was just 2 minutes. Before i chowed down on the best food i have had in a while. I feel like everyone should go to this place at least once in there life. 10/10 read more

(In regards to the sushi) not a bad spot, but I have definitely had better other places. I placed my order (spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll) and waited in line for my order to be called. After some time went by (maybe 10 min or so) I thought that maybe the guy at the register was not calling out the order numbers when it was ready. I walked up to the register and I asked if my number was ready. He picked up my order and handed it to me. Not a huge deal, but most places will call out the order number when their order is ready so they aren't just waiting there for the order to be called read more

Quickway Japanese Hibachi - two trays of sushi - Japanese Near Me - Laurel, Maryland

Located off on Washington Boulevard in Laurel, Maryland, next to a closed business that used to offer swimming lessons, this fast-casual Japanese Hibachi restaurant's namesake favorite dish (chicken hibachi) goes down as tastily and easily as the boy-chef's Boun's Shrimp Congee after Sisu's gem has been shattered into five pieces and dispersed throughout the five kingdoms of Heart, Spine, Talon, Fang, and Tail, in the post-apocalyptic, Disney-animated masterpiece, Raya and the Last Dragon. Their hot noodles, which you can choose to accompany any order of shrimp or chicken hibachi, are as welcome as the tom yum Chief Benja prepares from the delicacies of the five kingdoms: Shrimp paste from Tail, lemongrass from Talon, bamboo shoots from Spine, chili from Fang and palm sugar from Heart. read more

Good food, polite employees, and good customer service. I recommend. The food is also fair in price. read more

The food was tasteless I could barley stomach the food. We had to put extra soy sauce on our food just to get any kind of taste. The person that took our order got it wrong even though we repeated ourselves multiple times. Ended up having our order remade. Then we had to pay extra because she charged us for something else. Not only that we still got charged incorrectly even thought I pointed out the price on their menu. You know why...because we said yes to hibachi. Yep they charge extra for whatever they consider hibachi! Now we did not make the mistake they did. Anywhere else will take the other food back, remake it and say I'm sorry. NOT make us pay the difference!! We will never be back and told them so. read more

I had dinner there just last evening. Very tasty and served at a fair price. It wasn't a a high pressure situation at all.

Normally I am hesitant when going into fast food places but Quickway is one place I will never hesitate to grab food from. I know that I am vegan but I don't even care when it comes to this place. I normally get the tofu hibachi and it always comes with a side of yum yum sauce. This spot in particular went above and beyond with the topics which I found to be a rather pleasant surprise after a long day and being super hungry. The fact that they asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds brought a smile to my face. I am not sure what it was about this particular branch but the workers were all so lovely. They had a smile on their face, they were joking and having a great time with the customers, the food was cooked quickly and correctly. The eatery was very clean inside and it smelled heavenly. Though the roads of Laurel are a bit hard to navigate in general, it is very easy to find this location and there is decent parking as well. If you are in the area and need a quick bite to eat, I would highly suggest stopping by this location. I doubt you are going to be disappointed. read more

I found this gem because I was looking for hibachi that wasn't expensive! The price point is amazing for the amount of food you get. They're very fast & the food is very fresh. I love hibachi & this place hit the mark for fast food, but make it quality! *inserts Tyra Banks gif* They also give you yum yum sauce on the side. Order 4 spring rolls for about $2.50, they were really crunchy and yummy. I'm not sure if they had duck sauce but that'll be great! The inside is very modern and clean! Worth a try read more

5 stars because the food is delicious. I devoured that Quickway Roll for $9.95 (8pcs) their wasabi isn't falling apart which is nice and it really kicked and slapped my face (which I love lol) chunky rolls and would come back again. Arigatou!!!! read more

Industrial looking space with techno music playing. Counter and tables, no waiter service. Proteins were gently cooked with a mild teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds and scallions added as you like. Noodles and fried rice were standard, pepper salad had lots of jalapenos. California roll was OK given that I'm a sashimi fan. Extra credit for green tea in the dispenser and free WiFi, and quantity/price. Rounding up to four stars as a pleasant gobble-and-go. Footnote now that I've got a real keyboard - as I was starting to eat, a number of Laurel city police came in for supper. I gotta figure that's like seeing a bunch of semis in front of a diner - they know where decent chow can be found. read more

I heard about this place through the Laurel Takeout Facebook Group, and the reviews there were less than flattering. I still decided to give it a go, since I was in the mood for something quick and easy. I was pleasantly surprised! I understand that this isn't going to satisfy everyone, but it is pretty standard takeout hibachi. Think mall food court quality. I got a chicken and shrimp with veggies and fried rice, with yum yum sauce on the side. The food was tasty, chicken was a tad dry, but the sauce is there for a reason I guess! The fried rice wasn't bad either, maybe could've been improved with a little extra garlic or ginger, but otherwise was fine. As far as COVID protocols, they're doing a good job relative to a lot of places. Plastic between customers and employees, masks worn properly, and limit on the number of people allowed inside. They also have floor markers (although we know those are only as good as the people who pay attention to them). The occupancy cap is the real key, since there is plenty of room for people to stand apart while they are waiting for their food. Overall, I'd eat here again, you just need to set your expectations properly. It's a takeout spot, so if you're in the mood for authentic hibachi that will rock your world, look elsewhere. read more

I honestly love the food here!!! I like the tofu and chicken so much that I get it everytime I come hahaha. I don't eat a lot so when I get a box I can usually eat it for multiple meals (which I'm not complaining and am LOVING ) and it's awesome that everytime I heat it back up it honestly tastes just as good!!! I also love their sushis god dam those slap LOL Honestly just give it a try, I'm sure y'all would love it!!! read more

People are very rude. No manners. The food quality is horrible and the flavors lack quality. I would never eat here again.

Great price for a large quantity of food. There is typically always people in here which means it must be good in some way.

The food here isn't that great it's fulfilling if you're really hungry. They charge $0.10 for to go orders. When asked why that is none of the staff were able to tell me. The door of the restaurant has been no function since last year where you have to pull hard to open the door. read more

We wanted sushi but weren't willing to drive far or spend a ton of cash so we settled for this place. It was lunchtime and I was surprised to find lots of parking and the place was not too busy. The workers are very friendly and patient. The venue is very dated. Seating was uncomfortable. The walls, tables, chairs, just about everything is worn out and stained especially the walls. The food is surprisingly tasteless. I mean how can steak not have flavor? How can noodles be so bland I had to drown them in sauce that doesn't even go with them? Veggies just glistened in grease not flavor. Bleh. Their sushi is decent in size, rolled very well and tasty. So a winner on their sushi. Salmon, salmon/avocado, and California rolls were winners. However, they do not have low-sodium soy sauce and are stingy with their ginger. It is an ok place to eat as a last resort or if you're starving and don't want to do what we weren't willing to do. Otherwise I would skip eating at this location. Two bento boxes and sushi cost us $40. No drinks. read more

Location on Alabama Avenue Southeast Washington DC The Salmon and Chicken with Noodles and spring rolls is the Reason I didn't give this location one star. The service was poor. Will not return. read more

Can't go wrong with this place! Cheap and Quick! The Bento Box is really good! You get everything in It. The hibachi is good as well. All of the sushi's are really good. Usually they have specials on the sushi's! read more

Outside of getting lost trying to find this place, I was actually pretty impressed. It was my first time going here during the quarantine and I wish I had found out about it sooner. Chicken and fried rice, beef and fried rice with those pretty amazing and I eat more than I thought I could eat simply because it tasted so good. I devoured it really quickly so I have no pictures LOL sorry. I certainly recommend if you don't want to sit down hibachi restaurant but you want a close taste-alike. It gets the job done in terms of taste and hunger so I will probably be going back. Wish they had a better quarantine protocol outside of making people stand outside in April cold while they wait for their food. read more

Not too crazy about this location. It's old and needs some love. Food wasn't the best. The shrimp tempura was sad. The noodles were lukewarm and the rice was okay. The shrimp and beef were tasty but that was all. As much as we like the location in Pikesville there's no way we can come to this one. Huge difference! No, thank you! read more

The bento box is a GREAT lunch option. The food is flavorful and they allow a lot of customization to your meal. Fast service and the protein you pick is cooked after ordering, so it's fresh. Service was okay, not the friendliest. Only a 3 star rating because the restaurant didn't seem very clean overall. I'd also like to see them add online ordering and delivery. read more

Great prices, Bento boxes are good as well , I love the combo rice and teriyaki steak and chicken

very dirty place would not recommend. the food is too greasy. the kitchen floor hasn't been cleaned in months

I have been here at least 5 times and food is always good. I usually order chicken hibachi, i think their side items can be improved by offering more variety. When ordering make sure you ask for extra yum-yum sauce. This time i got the bento box. The box lasted for 3 meals and is the best value. Customer service is always friendly and courteous read more

I ordered a bento box about two days ago on Uber Eats and when it arrived, the sides (sushi, dumplings, and spring rolls) weren't there. I gave the store a call and the manager was super apologetic and told me I could come back anytime for a new meal. Today i called and she remembered me and was super nice about it! When i arrived she was apologetic again and very friendly, smiling, etc. I assured her it was no big deal, mistakes happen! As she made my meal herself, she told me that she even gave me extra for the inconvenience! Usually the box comes with 2pc of everything (I believe) and she gave me an 8pc of sushi and extra dumplings and rolls too! I appreciate her going above and beyond for me. I live close but don't come often but now I will frequent them! Thanks again read more
