I stopped in for a quick lunch. There was a slight delay as the doors just opened and there were about 8 ppl already in line. Once the team got going there was faster smoother service. I ordered a Bento Box and enjoyed the variety in the selection. The beef was tender and flavorful, the dumplings and spring rolls were good. The California roll was not super fresh but served its purpose. I wish there were more sauces provided. With the Bento box items you would traditionally receive soy sauce, dumpling sauce, duck/sweet sour sauce, and yum yum sauce. I only received yum yum sauce. The restaurant needs more storage as tons of boxes were stacked in the front taking away from the welcoming appeal.

I've come here a few times and each time there's a line. Think that says a lot about how popular this place is. Overall it's great quick takeout food. I typically get the chicken and steak plate with a side of veggie rolls. The only downside I have is their steak isn't as tender.

Food is always good and they are nice and fast!! Portion size is great for later or two people.

Hibachi chicken and tofu with mixed vegetables and noodles $8.45

We came here on a Thursday rainy evening on 6/4/20. Due to the pandemic, only 5 customers are allowed inside. You need to wait outside until someone exits. The employees are all wearing masks, and there are clear plastic partitions between customers and employees. We had hibachi chicken and tofu that came with a choice of 2 sides (we chose noodles and mixed vegetables) for $8.45. The portions were large. Although teriyaki sauce was poured on top, the meat was dry and some pieces were over cooked that it looked like beef instead of chicken. One container of yum yum sauce is free per entree, but it will cost 50 cents each for more. It used to be free without any limit. There is a rewards stamp card. After 5 hibachi entrees are purchased, you will get a free hibachi chicken entree. There is an incentive to return!

Food is good except I would stay farrrrrr away from The salmon dish. Also get your food to go. The decor is very depressing with zero atmosphere no music no tv just this good food in a looooong hallway atmosphere

(In regards to the sushi) not a bad spot, but I have definitely had better other places. I placed my order (spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll) and waited in line for my order to be called. After some time went by (maybe 10 min or so) I thought that maybe the guy at the register was not calling out the order numbers when it was ready. I walked up to the register and I asked if my number was ready. He picked up my order and handed it to me. Not a huge deal, but most places will call out the order number when their order is ready so they aren't just waiting there for the order to be called

Hibachi Chicken & Hot Noodles with Scallions!

Located off on Washington Boulevard in Laurel, Maryland, next to a closed business that used to offer swimming lessons, this fast-casual Japanese Hibachi restaurant's namesake favorite dish (chicken hibachi) goes down as tastily and easily as the boy-chef's Boun's Shrimp Congee after Sisu's gem has been shattered into five pieces and dispersed throughout the five kingdoms of Heart, Spine, Talon, Fang, and Tail, in the post-apocalyptic, Disney-animated masterpiece, Raya and the Last Dragon. Their hot noodles, which you can choose to accompany any order of shrimp or chicken hibachi, are as welcome as the tom yum Chief Benja prepares from the delicacies of the five kingdoms: Shrimp paste from Tail, lemongrass from Talon, bamboo shoots from Spine, chili from Fang and palm sugar from Heart.

People are very rude. No manners. The food quality is horrible and the flavors lack quality. I would never eat here again.

We made the drive from DC to check out this sushi gem in Laurel, and it was absolutely worth it. Happy Hour runs from 4 PM to 7 PM, and the deals are the kind that make you want to come back again next week. Sushi is half-priced (yes, half!), sake is just $4, and shooters are $6. In this economy? That's a win. Do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar. Deidra was our bartender, and she was top-tier--attentive, friendly, and on point the entire time. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work, and she definitely does. Great service makes good food even better. Plenty of parking, strong drinks, fresh and flavorful sushi--no fluff, just facts. If you're willing to take a short drive for a solid Happy Hour that delivers on value and quality, this Laurel sushi spot deserves a visit. Sometimes the old-fashioned way is still the best way: good food, good prices, and great service.

The server was attentive and pleasant. It wasn't very crowded. In fact, no one was on the hibachi side. Most of the patrons sat at the bar watching the news. Oh, I had the Lychee Martini-delish! My cousin had a shooter (I don't remember the name). I treated my cousin for his birthday- two drinks, 6 different cooked sushi dishes and the fried chicken, with included 18% added, plus an added tip was exactly $73.00. For sure, I'd return. I'd even go by myself and have dinner at the bar. Very very Casual dress is appropriate. The only qualm is the reservation process. I emailed 4 days ago. I received an immediate response indicating that someone would call me back. When I didn't hear from anyone, I called last night. I was told that 2 people walking in at 5:30 on a Tuesday would be fine- it was.

I Arrived in a good mood and left in a VERY sour one because one of the staff members had a very…read morenasty attitude. The good: The Chicken Katsu....AMAZING. Perfect crunch the sauces were yummy and the fried rice was good too! Sushi was good. Good prices too. So good I was saying i was definitely coming back for more and was abt to order the Jessup roll...and then THE BAD AND UGLY happened:I arrived around 9:06 PM. For context, the restaurant closes at 10 P. My original server was a very kind young lady Who served with a smile. Around 930 My original server was busy, so I called to the next one that I saw. She acknowledged me with an annoyed look then started mumbling something under her breath that I could not understand. I chose to ignore it. I asked for one more sushi roll and a cup of water. (After that i was going to leave) With an attitude and very aggressively she says "OK ok Jessup roll and a cup of water. What else?" Girly pop was VERY obviously annoyed and taking it out of me...a customer. I wasn't rude nor did i have an attitude until then. Had she said that "Unfortunately the sushi bar is closed and we're not taking any more Orders." I would've understood. However, she turned around and walked to the register, still talking angrily under her breath. So I told her to cancel my order and have someone else bring the check. I do not want her to come back to my table. She STILL came back over trying to offer some stale ass store bought cheesecake. I told her I don't want it to get out of my face. I don't like rudeness. Especially if it's unwarranted. I am a very kind person. I'm usually not rude to people, especially service staff because I know what they go through. But this girl and her nasty attitude pulled me out of my character this evening. I ALWAYS leave a tip for my server, but i was too focused on the rude girl and forgot to leave one for my original server. She was very very sweet and tried to check on me and i appreciate it. I'm sorry your coworker messed up your tip. Maybe rude girl needs to learn from her. Be kind. Being rude gets you nowhere. I doubt I'll ever go back.

There must have been a lot of takeout orders because from the time we ordered to the time we received our food, at least 40 minutes had gone by. We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.
