You decide: March 2020 - Quick's was recommended to me after the dealership said I needed over $2K worth of work done to my car. Jerry gave me an audible quote of $1K so I said do it. Work included timing belt, water pump, t belt idler pulley, front cam sprockets, front cam seals, fog lamps and bulbs, and brake and steering fluids. Apparently, I was only quoted parts and not known to me, the estimate didn't include labor as my invoice totaled $1,769.88. The invoice referenced an "original estimate" number which I was never given. October 2022 - I went for a car registration smog check and was told I had a noise in my engine. I went back to Quick's and by just listening to my engine, Jerry said it was a timing belt idler pulley. When I mentioned he had just replaced that 2 years ago, he said that the one he installed "just went out of warranty" -- invoice was $346.57. Again, I never was given an "original estimate." October 2024 - Again, bi-annual smog check, I was told not only that I had a noise in my engine, but that it was either the water pump or the idler bearing. Since those parts sounded familiar, I checked my car invoices and went back to Quick's. This time I stated only that I was told I had an engine noise. Jerry pulled out his stethoscope and said that he was unable to locate the noise to tell me what it was - he needed to put my car up on the rack. He said I also had a noise on the left side of my engine while it was on the rack but that he still couldn't locate the source of the noise on the right side - I would have to bring it in so he could "take it apart." We made the appointment for a day where all he had scheduled was an oil change and I was there when he opened at 8:30 AM. I remained on site for 6 HOURS and in that time, I never received an estimate (written or verbal), ANY update or information about my car's issue and at no point did I give him authorization to do anything to my car but tell me what the noise was. At 2:30 PM, Jerry told me that I should get a ride home. He said my car was making him crazy - they took it apart, there was no noise but when they put it back together, "things didn't align." He proceeded to yell at me because "ALL THE WORK HE HAD SCHEDULED FOR THAT DAY WAS HAVING TO BE PUSHED BACK" because of my car. He said he would call me when it was done. I immediately left the shop and on the way out I apologized to the mechanic working on my car for being a problem. He said it was OK and that it should be ready "in a little bit." When I got home, I realized that Jerry had never asked me my name, much less take my phone number so at 4:50 PM, I called the shop. I told the lady that answered that it would be difficult for me to get a ride up there after dark and it might have to stay overnight if I didn't leave shortly. I gave her my name and phone number and she said she would give Jerry my message. At 5:30, Jerry finally called to tell me to come pick up my car. I explained that I now needed to find a ride and would call him back if I could do that. When I got there, he presented me with a $400 bill. I explained that he was billing me for the same part he replaced in both 2020 and 2022. His comment was "well, you drove more miles now than then" and laughed. Was it because I was a solo gray-haired female bringing my car in or is it because he installs cheap parts? Doesn't matter - I"M DONE! I asked him why he did not give me a heads up either about the fact he was going to repair my car without my authorization (I came in for information, not repairs), any advanced notice on how much the repair would be or the fact that this repair appears to be a recurring incident from his previous work. He gave me no explanation. read more

Jerry and the crew were great! I had some work done at the Chevy dealership in Santa Ana and they claimed that all these things were wrong with my truck. After paying the dealership to align my wheels, I got the truck back and the steering wheel was not level. I brought it to Quicks and they balanced by tires and corrected the alignment (which was still off) for less than I paid Chevy! They checked to see if any belts were damaged (per the dealership) and nothing was wrong! These guys are fair and honest! This is a great local business. I brought in my Hyundai Santa Fe with a problem (gas pedal did not respond, but only once, it worked right after...). They looked at it, reset the computer, cleared some codes, but could not find any actual problem. Where most other mechanics would have charged you at least an hour's worth of labor, they did not charge me anything as they were unable to find a problem. Now this may indicate that there still IS a problem that went undetected, but the car has been working so far.... I have also brought my truck here in the past with an air conditioning problem. Fearing that I would have to replace the whole unit, they said the only thing that was needed was new freon. I was out the door with $85 bucks spent. I took my company van in to get an oil change. That's all that was authorized to perform. When we got there, they didn't have the total amount due. This was because they performed a front break job. Nobody authorized any work to be done except the oil change. Then the mechanic started telling me that two tires were bald, and that all four tires were worn down to the wear marks. He then showed me the bald tires. I looked on in amazement. The tire wasn't bald, even the wear mark wasn't worn. All four tires were in acceptable condition. When I asked for him to look at the wear mark, he stormed off into his office where he could confide with his brother. When I walked in his office his brother started saying that the tires were close to the wear mark. I stated that was a true statement and that the lie of it being in the where mark was exactly that a lie. Then the mechanic started yelling at me. You don't know what you're talking about. It was in the where Mark I said no. Even your brother knows the truth. That's when they both started yelling at me to get out of their office to go away. Don't come back and I stated you sure don't want any customers. Do you because you shouldn't be acting like this. I said in a nice calm voice as I watch these two grown men lose control and started yelling at me. Then I was told that they did a break job on the car which was unauthorized and so I asked can I have the old brake pads and they started yelling. What do you need those for? Are you going to sell them? And I almost said we'll probably because they're probably not warned much, but I didn't. So then they were extremely yelling telling me to leave the property get off and don't ever come back. I was just totally appalled at how they were treating me even being his nice and calm as I was. I had a workmate with me who as I walked off told them that they were the worst service oriented place that he's ever seen and told them they were cantankerous. What are them asked? What does cantankerous mean? And that's when he said look it up. Needless to say we didn't take the van home. We had to leave it there since they didn't have a total yet of the unauthorized work tallied up with the oil change that was only supposed to be done. They have done work in the past about four months ago on another van of ours at work and they added a Cadillac converter and a map sensor which was unauthorized to do and I never got to see the used parts and I think it was done fraudulently but that was then. I think these guys are a total rip-off. They do work that's not authorized and they don't hold the old parts available and they just if you mentioned what's wrong and you're concerns. All they do is yell and scream and tell you to leave. I've never seen such attitude of any service organization before in my life and I've seen quite a few. These guys definitely don't even deserve one star that's for sure read more

Then I saw Quick Auto was down the street so I just gave them a ring as I was leaving my parking lot...the owner, Jerry answers and tells me they'll do the job just pay the cost of the bulbs. $3-$6 each...SWEET. My 2003 Toyota Corolla needed an oil change, smog check, new brake lights, and the air conditioning wasn't working. My friend referred me to Quicks. The awesome thing about Quicks is that I got all these things taken care of in one place and for a really good price. You can definitely tell that the people who own this shop are real, honest, good people. They don't try and upsell you on things you don't actually need and when they make recommendations on what you should do, you should take their recommendations seriously. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that they are not named for their speediness. If you're like me, and have a lot of things that need to be taken care of, plan on leaving your car at the shop and have a friend pick you up. I came to the shop around 1:45 and waited half an hour for my car to finally be looked at. I was given status updates maybe every hour, but after everything was done, I ended up leaving at 5:15. Most of the reason was because neither me nor the mechanic knew I needed new brake pads, and when the parts where going to be delivered, they got delivered incorrectly 3 times. While I was waiting, nobody really offered me any water and talked to me, so I was playing on my iPhone the entire time. I am now a Fruit Ninja Assassin thanks to the 3.5 hours in the tiny lobby with plastic white chairs and plants in pots. The owners (Jerry and his mom) are still very nice people. And because he saw I waited so long he ended up not charging me for my brake lights. What a cool guy! After an oil change, smog check, brakes & lights replaced, tires rotated, and my car fully looked at, I was charged $378. I will definitely start coming to Quicks for all my auto needs, but next time I will arrange to have my car dropped off for the entire day. read more

Quick's saved the day when my Tahoe's water pump was leaking. I initially took my car to another shop, but after an estimate of $850 to replace the pump decided to shop around a bit. A friend suggested that I take my car to Quick's for dependable, inexpensive and quick service. I dropped my car in the afternoon and it was ready by noon the next day. So last Friday my car decided to malfunction and I was able to get it towed over to Quick's at about 8pm. I've taken my past car here and my step dad and mom have taken there's here as well. Jerry is super nice and friendly and he works with you and makes sure you aren't carless for longer than need be. I took my car in late Friday and they had fixed the problem by Monday afternoon. Another thing I really appreciate about Quick's is it's run by the fambam and they don't over charge you! I highly recommend them over any of the other shops! read more

I drive a 2004 Toyota 4-Runner, and I have been bringing my car here since the beginning. They have done all major checkups and repairs. A couple of times out of convenience I've taken my car to a Toyota dealership close to me to get an oil change, and every time they give me a very long list of things that need to be fixed. I then take the list to Quicks where after looking over the car almost none of those things need to be fixed. Quicks is honest and doesn't try to fix something you don't need.
