There are a plethora of donut places in the Valley it seems but none that seem to stand out. I was hoping this would be the spot to buck that trend but unfortunately no. To be perfectly fair the donuts were not bad by any means just not spectacular. Service was nice and friendly so I don't get any joy at all giving them only two stars, but the "meh I've experience better" aptly describes my experience. We had a wide variety of donuts, boba drinks and popcorn chicken and while again, none of it bad, just nothing remarkable. When we went we had a glazed, taro, custard, chocolate, and jelly filled and I can say I've had better. Also of our boba we had the taro and caramel glazed which looked great on Yelp but not so much in taste in person. It was also a bit more pricey than usual for donuts which probably influenced the anti climatic feeling me and the gf got while trying this place. There is nothing from that outside that will make you want to eat here but trust me, it's delicious! They have donuts, breakfast sandwiches and boba. Nothing I've tried here is bad. Try the Boba here it's so great! The boba was so chewy and soft which won me over right then and there. I tried the red mango flavor and it was so awesome. I decided to try this place on my vacation in California and I'm so glad I did. And the guy that helped us was so sweet and helpful. I'm definitely going back here when I return to CA. read more

Yelpers did not let me down! Was eager to try the thai iced tea slushi with boba based on some yelpers reviews! I'm glad I did! It was very yummy and creamy! It didn't get watered down towards the end which was nice. Also got a breakfast croissant sandwich with bacon, the bacon was crispy and almost burnt (which is what I love) and I got a couple donuts. Both were very good and tasted fresh. The service was great and everyone was nice. Only cons were the parking and the fact that its so far from my house, which is probably a good thing otherwise I would get diabetes. Will definitely come back to try other boba drinks and the iced coffee. read more

FYI: Taro donuts are seasonal. Stopped by here yesterday, and the kind gentleman told us that taro donuts are made during the school season, so expect them around September. Nevertheless, we got boba drinks and everyone liked theirs. My rose milk tea was on point, and the rest of the family got the milk tea, taro-vanilla, and a lychee-strawberry combination. I usually go to bounce boba (what use to be a loft) in Northridge. I moved out to van nuys almost a year a ago and recently came across this place. Boba is excellent. Soft and chewy the way it's suppose to be. The gentleman helping me told me they really make sure their boba is good. He suggested I tried red mango. I added the assorted jellies and it taste so good!! I also ordered a taro slush with boba. Taste was good and boba cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place! The best place ever! Their donuts are super delicious and their popcorn chicken is famous in whole VanNuys!! Its family owned "king donuts", and i can honsetly say that its super clean . Ive never seen cockroach in my three years there . Cause everyday my breakfast starts with them , since i work close to them. The stuff is very helpful and super nice and friendly. Place is empty and full of donuts, should of been a hint. Ordered a dozen donuts and had to navigate among all the specialty donuts as they don't tell you there's an extra charge for anything that looks yummy. They can barely communicate and when you ask a question there's no eye contact. Save your money and go where you at least get a smile for $10.00 a dozen plain donuts!! read more

I happened to be in Van Nuys the other day and was craving something cold & sweet. Found this place via Yelp and decided to try it based on their good reviews for Boba. It was in fact very good, nice chewy center as another reviewer commented. My go to flavor is Milk Tea but there was a good selection of other flavors..bought Red Mango for my daughter which I was told was a strawberry-mango flavor and very popular. Sadly, I didnt get a chance to try it. Bought a couple donuts which were about average for your typical LA donut shop. Still tasted pretty fresh @ 3 in the afternoon. There were lunch combos as well, such as fries & boba or hamburger & boba etc. The worker was very nice and helpful, she even allowed my young son to use their restroom in the back. I rarely venture out to this part of the valley but I highly recommend stopping by if one is in the area. read more

In the past four years these guys have have really grown alot. They deserve 5 stars for their service and really make an effort to be friendly and interact with all their customers. At Van Nuys high school they have rescued a mass of students starving due to the terrible nightmare food of an LAUSD cafeteria by making a free delivery system that you can order from by text message, making it really easy to order During 4 th period hunger pains just before lunch. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they have been sneakily raising costs quarter by quarter. So now I mostly order from other Thai restaurants or places not as well known around the school for a normal price boba. read more

I came in for a dozen doughnuts. They only had 10 doughnuts left so I got all 10. A single doughnut is $1 and a dozen is $9. The girl at the counter proceeds to charge me $10. I asked her about why it's $10 for 10 doughnuts when a dozen is $9 when they're the ones that ran out. I think she was going to ask someone but decided not to because she realized that she already charged me. Instead she just told me a doughnut is $1 each. I would have just let it go if she was nicer about it and provided better service. Unfortunately, she couldn't care less. They should make more doughnuts for National Doughnut Day next year but I won't be coming back anyway. They were good doughnuts but cashier and maybe pricing needs some work. read more

This is definitely gonna be my new spot! Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly good morning and smile, which is difficult to come by nowadays. I had a few questions about the menu and the cashier was happy to answer them without being rude or rushing me like other places. After a few minutes of contemplation and 179392 questions later I ordered 2 breakfast croissants and 2 boba drinks. Everything was amazing! There has to be cocaine in this product because I catch myself craving it everyday. FDA be on the look out. If you have $4 to waste, definitely hit this up. This place has been around for many years for a reason. They recently expanded their menu and most of the things on it are great. Croissant breakfast sandwich is the best. Service is always on point here, they are pretty quick & when the lobby is empty, I usually can hold a conversation about nearly anything with them. Thats exactly why we frequent places like this, Andrew specifically is genuine & personable every time we swing by. My husband and I live blocks away we have our favorites-mine is the ham n' cheese croissant & butter pecan milkshake w/boba, his is sugar bar with a half milk, half black tea with boba! This shop is the high school go-to place in the mornings and after school, since it happens to be right next to Van Nuys High School. The boba is a great price compared to Boba Loca, and the boba is great! This is now my place to go when I want some boba. They also have some great stuff on their menu. Their combos are at a great price as well. I believe you can get french fries and a small boba for $4. Their french fries can be a bit salty, but still good to eat. They also have a bacon burger which everyone says is amazing, but I have yet to taste. I've tried one of their donuts, just a simple glazed one. I would say it's alright, but not the best donut I've had. Boba is charged .25 cents extra. I usually get Milk Tea boba; they have two sizes. I think its $2.25/2.50 for a regular (which is pretty much a small) and $2.75 for a large. This is without boba, and only for their teas. Their smoothies/slushies cost more. They have lots of flavors as well. Now I want some boba! Though be warn, sometimes their boba is old and they do advise this to you. I ordered it once anyways and they charged me w/o boba. The boba was not good, it wasn't chewy and I could tell it was old. Not their fault of course since they warned me. Just make sure you don't order when it's old boba! They also have stamp cards, but they have ran out of them the last time I asked. read more
