This quest sucks ass big time. I've been waiting in this office for almost two hours for my orders to be faxed from my Doctors office. I called them several times and they have sent the orders more than 8 times. It turns out that the fax wasn't having issues at all. This girl didn't have it on or even sadder didn't know how to work it properly. The girl at the front desk Yesenia would have known this if she wasn't on her phone constantly talking and mostly texting. I don't understand why she felt the need to use her personal phone instead of her work phone. In front of patients no doubt. Than she started to get irritated with patients because we are asking what's going on. She also stated to me that this office pays more money and she hardly does anything I'm thinking she's talk about work wise. I'd agree with her on that point hands down. I waited over an hour almost two when she finally discovered that there was an issue with receiving faxes. Also the door to inter for blood draws stayed open constantly. To me his is a safety hazard and privacy issue for me as a patient. Her and the older man both had stank ass attitudes. They acted like doing there job was a major issue. I hope Supervisior reads this. I will never go back to this Quest again. Plus you gotta pay for parking even with validation. read more

Peter is unnecessarily rude. He barked orders at multiple people "get away from the door; what are you doing standing there" "go sit down and wait" "Come on! Just write the number down if you can't remember it. Ridiculous." are just some tidbits I overheard. When he asked me if I'd been here before, I said "About a year ago" he glared at me, looked me in the eye and shook his head and started mumbling angrily to himself. Is that really necessary?? Came in on a Monday afternoon (around 1:30pm) thinking I would need to wait a while as a walk-in, but I was out of there in 30mins. There were 4 people ahead of me (not sure if they had appointments or were walkins like me) so being out of there that fast was awesome! Clean and easy to locate. Need to get my mom's blood drawn and came at 830. There is one 1 person working here. She is working the front and doing the back. Really!?! There are 15 people waiting in the waiting room. Not enough chairs for people waiting to sit so people have to stand. People are walking out and saying forget this. Im sure this business doesn't require excellent service but this is pretty shameful. Some of the people can't eat till they get there blood work. Some people are trying to go to work. I read some of the reviews on yelp and looks like this has happened before so it seems like it just doesn't matter. I'm sure a profits are far more important than the customer experience. I wish my mom had options to get her blood work done elsewhere but with insurance and doctors choosing the labs the labs don't need to give a crap about other people's time. Peter was so awesome! I came in, not the happiest about getting my blood work done or very peppy. & he joked with me and just made my experience a lot of fun. (Like getting blood is fun) there was also another young girl working & she was very nice to me as well. She came to check on me cause I told her I "faint" Super nice people. Had an appt. at 8:45 AM today, 7/23/18. Did the self check in. While waiting I observed receptionist, Yesenia, being rude to patients. For example, she dropped one of the ID's of a male individual while checking him in. She pretended to be looking for it in the lobby by checking the floor twice then blamed the patient that his ID was on the floor. The male patient was upset that she did not apologize for her mistake but instead called him a liar (his words). Yesenia also told several patients that they do not have an appt. when patients claimed that they do. One of them was a female individual. She told patients that they would have to wait 2-3 hours for being a walk in. After waiting for 50 minutes, I approached the receptionist why she has not asked for my order and she informed me that there are 13 patients ahead of me. I stepped back but then I heard patients having an appt. at 9:30 AM already being called. When I asked her again, she said that I am a walk in. I informed her that I have an appt. at 8:45 AM but still insisted that I am a walk in. I reported this to my provider who stayed on the phone with me and spoke to her. When asked when am I going to be called, she said that there is one patient ahead of me. Said patient was checked in after me. I commented that she was doing the power play of letting someone checked in after me to go first. I decided to not have my blood work taken. After leaving, Quest Diagnostics sent me an e-mail that I am a walk in. I told my provider to remove this location from their list to send their members as it is an awful place with the receptionist being rude and a liar. A complaint has been opened. read more

Not impressed by this place at all. Got here early for my appointment, only to have me still waiting for an hour to be seen. There's only one lady working the front AND the back. If there's a lot of early morning appointments, shouldn't there be more people helping out to help make this process quick and smooth sailing? Props to the lady working all the positions though. Very rude people working here. First of all they told me the wait time was 30min... That could have been further from the truth. There were no seats available to sit the whole wait and I am pregnant! I ended up having to sit in the hallway outside of the door. We ended up leaving after an hour and a half of waiting. read more

So I came in as a walk in, my first impression was that it wasn't too packed. As I approached the front desk the receptionist was rude ! I also witnessed her being rude to other patients. She just needs to do her job the right way. I think she forgot she's in customer service. As I'm reading all the reviews I'm seeing so many complaints about the front desk! I am not a fan of Quest Diagnostics at this location. The receptionist was rude and she was speaking so loudly to other patients regarding the patients past due balance, the code for the test they were getting. I felt super bad, because I feel like it was a violation or privacy. read more

Came as a walk-in despite seeing the reviews. Room was full of ~10 people. After about 40 minutes, I was called to check for insurance card, and to see if the order was in the system or faxed in. My doctor did both. Then, they told me to have a seat. The person with a baby before me is still here after 1 hour. The baby is so nice, I would be so furious! Ok the staff: I only interacted with 2 so far, I will update later. Man in the front as soon as I came in and checked myself in their iPad. I said hi nicely, and he completely ignored me. I was like Wow, ok someone's having a bad day. The lady in the front was trying to act like she was doing something, and that she was working hard, but guess what? The line is not moving. She was polite, but she didn't offer any insight as to how much longer am I going to wait. Awful. Also, they call someone in every 20 minutes or so which I think it's a bit outrageous since all they do is draw blood. This is the first time that this has happened. Update: They finally called me after 1.5 hours. I later realized that the lady in the front was the phlebotomist. What? Quest owners are so greedy that they can't hire staff to mend the front desk? These people have to study for months to get their license and stuff only to be wearing more hats than they can handle? The other guy was drawing blood too. What madness is this? Seriously, how frustrating it must be to work for this company. I asked her wow you guys do the front and draw the blood too? She was so nice and upbeat. She was nice about it and said yeah we do a little bit of everything. Not a little, they literally do everything from greeting and checking in patients to calling the doctors and insurance companies to printing and receiving faxes, to obtaining and managing specimens. Yeah she's probably trying to pay student loans and is happy to have found a job in this economy. Thanks for taking advantage of good people like her Quest. That was an eye opener for when I join the work force again. I commented to a friend what happened and she said yeah Quest is like that, like she was not shocked at all. Is this even America? I went to this location as directed by my Doctor on Friday morning who told me that they had emailed the paperwork to that location on Earl street. I arrived without making an appointment. I was told by the receptionist that I had to have an appointment but she would try and squeeze me in. She could not find my doctor's lab order in her system. I told her I would get my Doctor to fax it in again. Then another receptionist came out and looked at my insurance card and told me that Quest does not accept Caremore insurance and I should try my luck at Lab corp. I left and reported this to my Doctors office and was told that they have worked with Quest for the last 4 years. I also called Caremore and they tried to reach Quest but could not get past the menu prompts on the Quest phone number. I then went home and checked the Quest website and Bingo. There it was. Caremore Medicare advantage was in the Quest network. Why I was denied service I can only speculate. Could it be my skin color? I hope not. Maybe Quest could do better training of their staff at this location. Now hear this. I went on Saturday morning to the Madison Street location which was open with a paper copy of my Doctors lab work order. It was crowded but the Manager behind the Plexiglas was very well organized and efficient. After a 10 minutes, I was led back to a room and I believe Leslie drew my blood after giving me water to get a better flow. She is a professional and was very skilled every step of the way. I wish I could put in 5 stars for this location in this review. What a difference one location can be from another. read more

I had a really pleasant experience at this quest. Set an appointment for later in the day. Had my paperwork ready and easily checked in from my phone. No one was in the waiting room and I only had to wait a few minutes while they looked up my info and got my paperwork in order. Came with my wife to get blood work for our pregnancy receptionist had the worst attitude was rude and did not keep patients in line. We came in at 10:20am and still are currently waiting. When asked receptionist how much longer she stated " I had a patient that took long so the other guys just picked the patients they seen. She didn't have a estimate time to wait she was rude to everyone and if she don't like her job maybe she needs to change careers. read more

Not the best place to go to. The lines are long and stuff is very rude. Billing department is worst, they don't bill your secondary insurance then send bills. Have to call and argue with mean people. read more

This is a smaller room that most Quest Diagnostics in Torrance, but it is the best. They are quick especially if you have an appointment and the staff is nice and they all have a light touch to the needle. Parking is a $1 if you are there for less than an hour or you can park out on the streets. read more

Went to Torrance Blvd. behind Little Co. of Mary Hospital Quest branch 11:10 am this morning with both my parents. We were the only patients there for an hour. One of the staff started poking my mother with no success after 4 attempts. Waited for one hour after, for my father's turn. Parents got hungry and asked me what's taking it so long. Answered them back "I don't know what's taking it so long." The other brunette staff overheard it. After she put the phone down, came into the screening room, waving her finger at me saying "Didn't you hear me talking to the doctor about the their tests. Didn't you hear me?" Very unprofessional. I don't know which school she went to. She had an attitude and is very rude. Unfortunately, I didn't announce that I am a registered nurse and work also as an independent contractor for Quest. read more

This quest diagnostics took very long time for baby to get check with blood work.. employees was rude saying appointment are priority but was the only one with the newborn baby that need to get blood work ASAP!!!! I had an awesome encounter with Peter D. this morning! He was very nice, professional and conscious but also funny. I liked how he tried to make the experience calm & relaxing! I really loved how he wanted to make sure I had nothing in my pockets and encouraged me to take off my shoes so I wouldn't add pounds on the scale. I really appreciated him putting paper towels down on the scale so I didn't get germs from other people's feet!! I didn't have to ask him to do that, he automatically placed them on it. I'm a germaphobe so that made me feel very valued as a patient! He did an amazing job at taking my blood sample, I never felt the needle! That's just another example of him being conscious of my needs by noticing I have small veins and using a small needle to draw my blood! Note to the ladies- if he ask you to hold a vile while getting your blood drawn, he's only doing that so your nails do not dig into your hand when you're asked to make a fist, he isn't trying to be unprofessional just being conscious of you. Again, I'm so glad I got Peter D. today to do my bio metrics - he was awesome! read more

I walked into this location with an appointment and because the person behind the counter saw labcorp paperwork (which my doctor said I could make an appointment at either quest or lab corp per my preference) he sent me to another floor to Labcorp. There was no one in the waiting room and my insurance allows me to go to either! I had a receipt via email confirmation and they still said I was in the wrong place. Labcorp was not busy and the woman assisting was very nice and got me in very quickly, so much nicer. Avoid this Quest location, go to Labcorp in the same building! read more

This was the BEST lab experience I've had!! The service was exceptional. Yesenia st the front desk was very helpful and patient with my elderly mother. The office was about to close, but she still made sure we were taken care of. I'm not sure what the older man's name was, but he was very patient, funny and kind to myself and mother. Love this lab. I have been going to several others during the course of my chemotherapy and radiation treatments. They are professional, timely and have very good techs who can get even the hardest veins.(i.e mine). I am a registered nurse so I can be very critical. I came in with my two young kids, which is already stressful as it is. I made an appointment but there was an issue with my paperwork (my doctor insisted they entered it in the system, Quest said they didn't have it). After waiting for over an hour and a half, they said they got my paperwork from my doctor but it was still incorrect. Although I had to point out to them it was correct (and I now believe it was right all along from the beginning), I understood the mistake since they were absolutely swamped (Friday morning, and since many blood tests require fasting many folks come first thing in the morning). The gal who took my blood was awesome, and the gal behind the front desk tolerated my self-advocating behavior well (I had to keep reminding them we were there, my kids were hungry, and that they were letting other people go before us). I finally broke down and insisted that we had to be next. And after my daughter was done, she was so hungry and nervous from dreading the blood draw for that whole time that she almost fainted (has never happened before), and again the nurse was awesome. I would have loved to have had a smoother experience, but I chock it up to them being seriously understaffed that day. I don't regret my "outburst", and I did apologize, and they were both cool about it. But I am not going back simply because of the staffing schedule, and the mix up with reading the paperwork. read more

Was requested to visit Quest by health ins provider. Was given an appt time of 8:45 am. Got there at 8:30, was told I would have an hour wait. I couldn't wait. Girl says "Oh well" , walks away. How do you fall an hour behind, when you've only been open 30 mins? Web site says they open at 7:00 am. My wifes appt. was at 7:00 am, the previous Tues. So, I return the next day at 6:30am, wait till 7:00 and find out they open at 8:00am. Tried to make another appt. via website.... What a joke!
