When I was waiting for my turn, I could hear her talking to other patients, very engaged, and has the genuine feel that she loves what she does. She is so bubbly, kind, and wonderful! I don't know why these guys get such a low grade. If you make an appointment, it should be a breeze. The staff is friendly for the most part. The technicians are well trained and find a vein quickly without jabbing you multiple times like they're playing where's Waldo. Quick in and out. It might be different for a walk in but that's not their fault. I absolutely love this location and the one right across the west side of Torrance Memorial Hospital. Blood draws are not my favorite but necessary. This Torrance location is located close to Little Company of Mary Hospital and offers certain Saturday hours. I usually check the Labcorp website and find which location has Saturday morning hours and schedule an appointment. When I schedule I make sure my insurance and my information is up to date. I get both an email and text message of my future appointment. When it is the day of my appointment, I make sure the paperwork from my provider is with me to turn in. Once in Labcorp's hallway or building, I check in via my text message. When I enter Labcorp I can see my name is already on their screen as checked in. Then it is just minutes until I am called. The phlebotomists that I have had on the last couple of visits have all been pleasant and professional. This last one even gave me cute dog and cat stickers that say "I was brave." Bring a book to read and be prepared to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes. I was number 5 in line as a walk in at 6:45am.. I tried to make an appt and prepare ahead of time, but no appointments available. Have your lab orders, identification and ,insurance information ready. Modern technology scans all this in. Then you go to a window to register. They get your phone number and tell you to wait in the car and they call you. This location and surrounding locations all process about 160 patients a day. PRO TIP: plan ahead and make an appointment. read more

With labcorp the trick is to make an appointment forget about walk ins and come twenty minutes earlier. I love how Covid cautious the people are they even offer masks and space. They have three working computers to handle the people load. The office is very clean and the people are very nice and organized. My appointment was at 10:45 so they called me then to confirm paperwork and told me next chair that opens up will be me. They actually tell walks ins how long it will be! I got my blood drawn at almost 11 and left around 11:12. The lady Liz who took my blood was so amazing and gentle. The only criticism I have is they need one or two more desk people to handle the load. ( in this job market it's definitely doable.) read more

Do your mental health a favor and dont come here. This is like going to the DMV. Front desk staff aren't friendly. We sign in on the kiosk and when you go up they still ask coldly for your info. And it's an issue if you ask a question to try and get clarification to help yourself through the appointment. The techs are nicer but if the people of "first impressions" aren't welcoming the techs will find themselves without patients. Other locations in the area will check you if they don't have a patient in front of them. Here it's a quick dismissal "CHECK IN AT KIOSK" I dont give bad reviews lightly. This is my 3rd time here, 1 for me, 1 for my husband , 1 for my daughter. My daughter has been here twice and same experience for her. Made an appointment for an 8:45am fasting lab. I arrived 15 min prior according to the instructions from Labcorp. I wasn't see until 9:30. I was sent a link to check in when I arrived. After checking in on my phone I received a text indicating that I would receive a text when they were ready to see me. I never received a message. When I arrived both the hallway and reception area were filled. Another person waiting told me that I needed to check in via the device in the office. read more

This location is not closed, as ot said on Yelp. I have been taking my parents and myself here for the past few years for our routine blood work. They are well organized, and service is rapid, unlike other locations or compared to Quest. The facility is clean and bright. They have 5 draw stations, but most of the time, understaffed. read more

I chose the 20911 Earl St., Suite 250 because of its early start time & distance to my daughter's school. The facility is located between Maricopa & Emerald Streets with a private lot... plenty of open parking at 7:00 AM. The lab located on the 2nd floor of the Kenneth E. Watts Medical Plaza, a directional sign guides you to LabCorp upon exiting the elevators. We came on Friday morning just after opening. With only a couple of people with appointments, we were walk-ins & seen right away after check-in. The check-in process is fast & easy -- 4 kiosks that scans your ID & insurance card. I had to enter a few details because it was my daughter getting her labs done, then I showed my insurance card, turned in the lab paperwork, & was in... all this took about 3-mins. We waited a couple of mins. & was seen by lab technician, Karisha. I informed her this was H's 1st blood draw, excluding infancy. She was super nice, thoughtful, & gentle... asking questions about her for distraction, explaining the process & each step she's taking. Just a pinch, H only flinched a little, no tears; a bigger & braver girl than I ever was. I cried at my labs, & sometimes still do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It only took a couple of mins. & then another 2 for the urine sample, in & out in about 20-mins. This LabCorp location is clean, organized, & efficient; the results were sent directly to our pediatrician's office -- what a fast turnaround! We had a Tuesday afternoon appointment, & H's pediatrician received the results to discuss the next steps. The lab technician was friendly, gentle, & patient that my daughter felt comfortable & wasn't traumatized by the experience. We'll likely be back for follow-up lab work. This is one of the few Labcorps in this area that is open on Saturdays so I really appreciate that. I've been in 5-6 times at this location to draw blood and for the most part the staff have been good. Today, however, there was a front desk staff member (woman with braids in a bun) who was really rude and bent on wasting patients' time. There was no one there other than me and she just stared at her phone instead of processing my paperwork. The only thing I was happy about is that she didn't draw my blood. Frustrating when you have to take time off of work to do this but they just waste your time and could care less. I wish management was more involved. Note - if you need testing done, you may need to get there at least 30 minutes before closing. read more

Mark, the man who checked in after me, was allowed to go before me without regard to the order in which we arrived. I would agree with the previous comment. They definitely don't deserve a one star. The front desk was very rude and seemed to ignore everyone waiting. Doesn't seem like they wanted to be there. Sent everyone to the kiosk to check in whether they had questions or not while not even looking up from the desk or making any kind of eye contact. The back staff was nice and considerate. KARISHA was great! She wasnt all that nice when checking in, but she was professional. She drew my blood in less than 5 minutes AND there was absolutely no pain involved. She was fast, efficient, and super friendly once I kept harassing her lmmfao! Coming from an office that took 5 tries and popped a vein to get blood, KARISHA made it seem effortless!!! She was truly a godsend because I hate needles and I hate going to the Dr lol. Now as far as the other people who come here (and most of em are either raggedy or entitled), they have no control over that. The facility itself aint the Ritz Carlton, but they get the job done! Everything at this location could be improved. I am writing this review in real time. I have sat here for almost 4 hrs. Admittedly I didn't have an appointment but they are very slow and unorganized. They take walk-ins out of order. They told me I was just waiting for a room and acted like I would be next. I was not next. I still have not been called and it's 2:32. They close at 3pm I have been here since 11:10am. Being a fasting diabetic who is starving doesn't seem to matter to anyone who works here. Came to get my blood drawn for my upcoming appointment with my Doctor. They open at 7 and by 7:01 there was maybe 20 people in line. They didn't open the door to the office e until after 7:10. One of check in machines didn't work, I notified the front desk, she said she would look in to it and never did. Over all the customer service is terrible, no greeting or apology for opening the office late, they were still cleaning and setting up when I got to the back. I would give this place zero stars if possible. I have never met front desk people that are so rude and callus. They were so unhelpful. My 5 year old son had a fasting blood draw needed, and it's impossible to schedule a morning appointment so we decided to go early morning. There was a line out the door and when we asked how long the wait would be the woman said nothing, shrugged her shoulders and pointed at the line. It says they will open at 7am but i came saturday 7:43am and the line was so long from door to all the way hallway to the elevator, and they finally opened at 7:50am. Wow, wasted time to those people need to go another important stuff to do. This business needs to put there open time at 8am if thats case they take their time to open. Then stafff are coughing. Gave no direction/instructions just kept referring to the tablet, which are towards the back, so a 1st timer is on their own! Nope! Makes you be concerned about what to expect in the back. I wish zero stars was an option, but unfortunately I have to put one. The lady at the front desk is extremely unprofessional and rude. I understand if she was rude but good at her job, but she is horrible at her job. She disrespects every single patient who walks in the door. Some people needed help signing in, and instead of patiently explaining to them, she began to yell at them as if that would make them understand. I got here at 7:30 and there were only 4 people in front of me, and still waited 2 more hours to be given a room, along with waiting even more. I know I am not the only one who feels this way because the other patients were also complaining about her attitude, and after reading the reviews people also share similar experiences. I'm disappointed to see that this Labcorp does not care about their patients because they still allow their employees to disrespect people. I had to get some bloodwork, and of course, it was a last-minute situation, so I couldn't make an appointment because appointments were not available until December. The website didn't mention anything about walk-ins, so I panicked a little. Luckily, one of my coworkers mentioned that she went on a Saturday and was able to walk in. BUT, she said that when she went, the line was super long. So she advised me to go early. They open at 7:30a, so I got there at 6:50a. When I arrived, there were already two people lined up. When 7:30a came, they let four people in at a time. They have kiosks where we check-in and input your info. That took only 2 mins, and after checking in, I was able to go in the room. The lady was super quick, and I was out by 7:45a. With that being said, I HIGHLY recommend getting there early or else expect to be there all day. The staff was nice and helpful. I'm so grateful for my coworker! She saved me hours of my time. :) read more

The technicians are efficient, competent and friendly - once you get to see them. The front desk staff and the gate-keepers are terrible, rude and down-right inhospitable. They have no desire to help clients - esp seniors and non-English speakers to navigate the electronic check-in system. The hours on the door and website state OPEN on Saturdays until 11:30am. I arrived at 11:28 only to be told that they are closed and the door was supposed to be locked. I realize that it was close to their time to go home - but it wasn't 11:30 yet. If a patron walks into a restaurant and the door is still open - they get served. Bottom line - the technicians are great, the 'reception' SUCKS. read more

I had to take my 10-month-old in for blood work to test his allergy levels for cows milk. Having to give blood for a baby is very stressful and heartbreaking because you're basically holding them down and they scream at the top of their lungs. The staff were not nice and on top of that, they ran the wrong test so now I have to go back and put my baby thru that traumatizing experience all over again because of their error. Very disappointed. Don't go here if you have to get blood work for your babies. read more
