I usually go to Labcorp for bloodwork but had to go to Quest because of the paperwork I was given. After creating an online account and setting an appointment, the process was very smooth and everything was done efficiently and professionally. About the only thing I don't like about this medical center is that you have to take a ticket when entering the parking lot and need to remember to stamp your ticket before leaving the office in order to avoid paying for parking. This is the only medical center in the area that tries to charge people for parking. Not the fault of Quest though. read more

This review is for my visit on December 13, 2024. My 5th visit to this Quest location! My blood was draw by Angel again, and she did an incredible job, just like last time! It was a little more crowded than usual, but I was still seen pretty quickly. (Always make an appointment online!) The bathroom was cleaner this time. One suggestion I would like to make is to have a container of individual wipes in the bathroom, just to ensure that everyone doing a UA gets a clean catch! What can I say except I'll be back soon!?! I just had the most rude encounter with the staff and phlebotomist. I walked in at 3:29, no one was at the desk and when they heard the door, they came out and said oh sorry we are closed. I looked at my watch and it had turned 330 and I said." it's 330" and she said yeah I know, we're closed. But we open back up tomorrow proceeded to open the door for me to ensure that I left. I absolutely would give this place zero stars that is no way to treat a patient the phlebotomist was Indian and the girl that came out was white. read more

I had a very frustrating experience during my visit. First,(didn't involve me but) someone's name appeared in the system over an hour before their scheduled appointment, even though they weren't actually there yet. The system doesn't allow for early digital check-ins, so that was confusing right off the bat. I arrived early, hoping to get everything sorted out smoothly, but despite that, they ended up taking a walk-in who arrived 30 minutes after me. I only had 15 minutes until my scheduled appointment, and the walk-in had only been waiting for 10 minutes. If I had been a walk-in, would I have been seen sooner? Then, my electronic order didn't come through, so I had to step out and ask my doctor to fax it over. When I returned and politely asked about the order, I was met with a bad attitude. That really upset me. I'm usually quiet and timid, so I don't push back when people are rude, but I had been nothing but polite and patient the entire time. I understand that people can have bad days, but it felt like their frustration was being taken out on me, and that hurt. When I asked if the order had been sent, I was told to "be patient" in a dismissive tone. I explained that I have autism and was just confirming, and she blew me off. The staff member was a heavier-set Hispanic woman. In comparison, the Hawthorne Quest location is so much better. I wish my experience had been more positive here. I'd recommend more staff to prevent these types of issues and to ensure that patients aren't treated poorly when things go wrong during an appointment. Pretty small little Quest location, because of its location it wasn't really busy around noon on a Tuesday. Do note parking is in a gated lot, not sure about the rates but I was in and out within 30 minutes and didn't have to pay for parking. The lab is pretty efficient, I checked in via my phone and was in and out in 15 minutes. I only deducted a star because I do have a sizable bruise at the location of the painless draw, but I'll survive :) read more

This review is for poor service. I had an appointment for 12:30PM. I thought that I'd try to get in earlier as a walk in. I arrived just after 8AM, did the sign in and had a seat. I saw a number of customers go in and out. and after about 50 minutes, someone came out from the back and said that no patients were logged in. Apparently, if I had an appointment already for later in the day, the person said that their system would not recognize me as a walk in. They also indicated that there was no way to override their system. I have never experienced such treatment from a blood drawing station. It's no wonder the company has such poor reviews. I made an appointment for Quest in Rolling Hills, but they cancelled the appointment a day before due to "building Maintenance". I called another office and their voicemail notes they take walk ins, but don't guarantee them. So I don't eat for 12 hours and came in. All the walk-ins were turned away, because "they haven't accepted walkins for years". Really, because you're vm doesn't agree. So I made an appointment the following week. Again don't eat for 12 hours and show up for said appointment, and they can't find the appointment. And it's my fault for not getting a confirmation. And they don't take walkins, so they are unwilling to help. If they can't manage a voicemail or an appointment system, why would I trust them with my blood work? read more

Typical, uneducated, unhealthy looking, "wha hapen" asking, overgrown adult teenager who likely drives a crashed up Altima. Absolutely the worst treatment I've received in a medical facility. The phlebotomist offered to take me and she told her "no girl don't even worry about it." They open at 7, I'm there at 7:20. I was the only person on the waitlist and no appointments were scheduled till 7:40. Don't come this location. I went to the 520 prospect building instead. I must have been to multiple locations of this establishment more than a dozen time over the years and I never left happy but I never left a bad review coz I find it to be a waste of time. UNTIL finally this last time I was late to a meeting because of their sloppiness.. There's ALWAYS something wrong! They either can't find the blood work order, or they're rude, or they skip your name, eventho it's on the screen and we can see the order of names. Just over all, they all need retraining. Typical for drs. appointments these days b/c of COVID; no problem. Waited 1 hr. Finally, got a text at 1:45 saying, "Thanks for waiting, we are ready for you to come in now." So we went in immediately, and found our appointment was canceled b/c we "were late" (???!!) They claimed we were texted at 1 PM to come in (nope!); showed proof (below) that no such thing happened. Time stamp on "we are ready for you" text was 1:45, like 30 seconds ago. Then we were told it was our fault "for not coming in at 1 PM", when we were specifically told to wait to be called in and did so and were at 1:45. I went to this lab today 10/16/23 around noon. There were so many people there. Some had appointments like I did, others walked in and some were there to drop off their specimen. Savanah was amazing. She had a smile on her face though she was extremely busy. My appointment was at 12:30 and I didn't have to wait for too long. She validated my parking ticket for me. I made sure to let her know that I was happy with the service I received today. It looked to me that they were understaffed but if you schedule an appointment you won't have to wait for too long. read more

You get 1 hour of parking free with a validated ticket, after that, it's 1:50 an hour. Located on the 3rd floor (room 300) there are elevators available for use. I came in around 9am for blood work and it was pretty busy. At first, I thought it didn't seem so bad since there were only 3 people ahead of me for walk-ins, however the computer system was having issues. I ended up waiting for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. When I was finally admitted, the staff was very friendly and understanding of my uneasiness about taking blood. To help with my unease, she was very kind and asked about my weekend to help distract me. Overall, this quest diagnostics center is very small but at least the staff was friendly. Tip: Make an appointment way in advanced because they book up fast and because the wait can be more than an hour long read more

i come here 3 to 4 times a year to draw blood for my doctor. This place opens at 8am. A few things to remember first remember to validate your parking ticket and two if you can get there before 8am and line up at the door, there are times that you get there early and you're the first in line and sometimes you can be the 5th or 10th in line. The process there is pretty simple sign in wait for them to call your name just have all your paper work and insurance card ready when they call you the process goes faster. Just remember it's first come first serve so be prepared to spend anywhere from 20 mins to hour . read more

I came with an appointment and was out of there in 30 minutes. (I doubt I would have waited that long even if I didn't have an appointment) + Nurses: The lady at the front desk wasn't the friendliest, but the nurse that drew my blood was nice and friendly. I showed up at Quest for my blood work for my annual physical. Admittedly, I was missing a page of the lab order. I pulled it up on my phone but, guess what: It doesn't have an e-mail address for me to send it and the staff wouldn't take a photocopy of it from my phone. They'd only accept a hard-copy or a fax from my dr's office. This isn't a critique of the quality of Quest's lab work but, administratively, it's stuck in the 20th century. read more

They are only taking appointments at the moment at some locations. Unfortunately most appointments are not available for two weeks, which isn't ideal if you need a diagnosis for a medical condition. After walking up and seeing the notice on the door, I drove to the Redondo Beach location. They were at capacity and the receptionist was surly and unhelpful at that lab. You can book an appointment via the app but it is clunky. You can only see availability for one clinic at a time. Navigating to change the location caused glitches. Great idea poorly executed. I managed to snag an appointment for the next day - someone must have cancelled. I rush home from work, grab my son and go into the clinic. Do the paperwork etc and the employees were pleasant and helpful. Streamlined paperwork and sign in process. Unfortunately I remembered I had left the groceries in the car and called my husband to ask him to put them away. There was one other patient in the waiting room and the phlebotomist. It was hardly a busy waiting room, and my call was quick. Literally 30 seconds into my call, I get scolded and told I am not allowed to use my cellphone for speaking in the waiting room. There are signs everywhere in the clinic telling you what you can and cannot do. This is the most preposterous thing I have heard. No talking allowed... come on. The staff were pleasant again and helpful. I only waited about ten minutes and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. The phlebotomist took time to talk to me about the situation and to explain to my young child who was there for his first blood test what was happening. She was really kind and patient. I was given the manager's name. I called him to see to whom I should address my complaint about the policy. He really couldn't care less. He just kept repeating it's a courtesy. It's only a courtesy for the people that work in the clinic not to have to hear people speaking. In the pandemic 90% of those who still have jobs have picked up the work of those who have been laid off. There is no courtesy for people juggling work, distance learning, medical appointments, bills. I will not be returning to this clinic and I strongly suggest everyone finds an alternative provider. If you want to be respected as a person don't go there. It is more hassle than it's worth! read more

I've been here twice with an appointment. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I waited about 10 to 15 min after my appointment time which isn't too bad. I had a hard copy of the Drs order which likely made the process easier. Mornings are more packed for obvious reasons, being many patients need to fast before their blood draw and come in early to not starve themselves all day. Afternoons are pretty dead. The staff is friendly and they do well for working a hectic day keeping up with all the patients coming in. My good review is mainly for Peter, who is a receptionist and phlebotomist there. He drew my blood twice and does his job very well. I hate getting my blood drawn and many have had trouble with my veins, needing to switch arms or prick me more than once. Both times Peter got it right the 1st time, and it was the least painful that I've had with any other phlebotomist. I was rather surprised with the little amount of pain I had with him. He also kept me entertained, was nice, and treated me like a human and not just like another someone he had to prick with a needle. Thanks Peter, you are awesome. read more

Maybe it was because she was on her cellphone texting. *hunches shoulders* It's one thing to text and take personal calls, but it's another when you do it in front of patients patiently waiting... who've been waiting for at least 2 hours without an explanation as to why the orders weren't going through via the fax. The older guy who also works alongside her was extremely rude as well, and had quite the sarcastic remarks with his NOT so funny jokes. They seemed to not like each other per my observations. They really need to get it together, clearly they should have some type of compassion and empathy for those coming in.
