[Parking]: Easy and free designated parking garage. No issue finding a parking at 8:45 AM on a weekday. The office is located on the 3rd floor. [Check-in]: I booked an appointment ahead of time. I initially tried to check in via one of kiosks (have driver's licenses or government issued ID ready), but I noticed somehow my check-in was a walk-in visit (visitors can see the status on the overhead TV screen). So I checked in again using the link given on my text message instead (Labcorp will send the link 24 hours in advance) and this time it worked wonderfully. Checking in using kiosks can be a big risk as the visit could turned an on-time appointment into a nightmare walk-in situation (could be waiting for hours) - so use the link given via the text message! [Note]: Friendly phlebotomist and staff at the front counter. Phlebotomist recommended drinking a gallon of water before the blood drawing - two glasses of water before sleeping and two glasses of water after waking up (drinking water helps phlebotomist having an easier to find veins). [Conclusion]: I was able to complete the whole process in 25 minutes. Expect a solid 4-star experience if everything is executed correctly from scheduling an advanced appointment, checking in via the link on the text message, and arriving on-time. read more

I followed the reviews for walk ins and got there around 8:40 checked in which was horrible the front desk lady told me not to listen to it. I waited till almost ten then said to cancel it. I noticed there was a system to take people they liked because walk ins some walzed right in no appointment. Some appointment like me had been waiting a long time. I have small veins and it can be a painful experience but here at the Redondo facility they have been wonderful, I appreciate the gentle care they have taken with me. I would not recommend this Labcorp location to anyone. The front desk staff member (the nurse or receptionist with pink/fuchsia hair) is extremely rude and unprofessional. Last week, I brought my father in as a walk-in for blood work. We waited over two hours, which was frustrating enough, but what made the experience unbearable was watching this staff member treat people so poorly. She openly argued with a patient who was simply asking for information--in front of a packed waiting room. It was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely inappropriate behavior, especially in a healthcare setting where patients should feel respected and cared for. Instead, everyone was forced to witness her attitude and lack of professionalism. Today, I returned to drop off a urine specimen for my father, and once again she was dismissive, rude, and mean. It costs nothing to be kind, yet she continues to choose the opposite. If she dislikes her job that much, she should not be taking it out on patients and their families--especially vulnerable people who come here for important medical needs. Healthcare requires compassion, patience, and professionalism, and unfortunately, this staff member shows none of those qualities. As a father, that comment was incredibly offensive and inappropriate. Fathers don't "babysit" their kids -- we parent them. I had an incomplete blood draw from Labcorp El Segundo - not sure of root cause but their staff was good too. For my second draw on Prospect Ave the expert technician used a slim 22 ga BD needle and almost did not feel it and they drew the blood quickly and effectively. I was seriously negative about this location for various reasons previously described. I've since been here several times and they are doing a good job at at social distancing, easy check in, requiring mask wearing and sanitizing stations between patients. Walk in patients were handled well and did not have long waits. I was there at 10 am and at least 8 walk ins were registered. Appointments, however, are best. All in all much improved. I made an appointment for my blood work. Since I wanted an earlier appointment. I had to make it about 3 weeks in advance (they are totally booked for earlier appointments). When I arrived on site, I texted them to let them know I was there. I immediately received a text back stating that my technician was ready for me. As soon as I walked in the door, I was taking in for my urine sample and then taken to a blood draw station. A few minutes later, the tech came in and drew my blood. I waited 3 hours for bloodwork. I'm diabetic and fasting. I eventually ate the emergency banana in my purse because my blood sugar was so low from waiting. I let them know many times that I felt sick and needed to get my blood work done soon so I could eat my banana. My glucometer on my arm was going off and no one cared. Had the greatest experience here yesterday. I took me about a month to get an early-morning appointment for routine blood work. When I arrived there were only two of us there, and I was taken almost immediately back to a chair. Was out of there in less than 15 minutes so I could go on about my day! One weird thing, and this is not related to LabCorp, but the parking structure for 510 N. Prospect is very odd. There doesn't seem to be an elevator anywhere and I ended up walking up the ramp which specifies not for walking but the stairs were dingy. This office is located in the 510 Building on the third floor in Suite 305, not to be confused with the 520 Building, Suite 305, which is Quest Diagnostics. I intentionally went to Quest not realizing my Doctor had sent me to this LabCorp office. I really like this office because I was the only one in the waiting area when I walked in. How can you not love that? It should mean your wait time is going to be next to none! As soon as I was processed in, I was told I could go to cubicle 4 and get my blood work done. Yay! The phlebotomist found my vein on the first attempt and I was out of there within 5 minutes. That is a rare thing in my world. This office is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful! I can only imagine on any other day or time that this place gets quite busy! They do have a good number of chairs for patients. Also, there seems to be a lot of lab workers behind the desk, so I am hopeful that they get people in and out within a reasonable amount of time. I've visited four other LabCorp locations in the South Bay and this one is by far the finest. I'm happy that they open on time and during my last visit, they actually let us in the waiting room 15 minutes early. They make sure we met the prerequisites (insurance card and that we were fasting). I don't have to wait long before my name is called. I like that these folks are extremely competent and friendly. Valerie is friendly, very detail oriented and professional, socially comforting through the process, and quite frankly is so skilled, when I had my blood drawn, I did not feel the needle going in, or while the test tubes were changed during the draw, or coming out at the removal. A very painless and pain-free process, quick and convenient. The wait time was minimal after signing in. You can make reservation appointments too. Both of their kiosks are out of order. They did not put a sign in the door letting patients know. Therefore, we were waiting forever to be called! TERRIBLE communication skills. It wasn't until someone, with an appointment, went up and asked when she would be called. She had already waited 50 minutes!!! When my pediatrician told me my kids needed a blood test I was like OMG how the frick do I get kids to get blood drawn :( ugh. Yea I bribed them, but we had a great experience with our technican. In fact the kids were amused. My younger son was scared but she let me sit with him the whole time. We even took home our rubber band that makes your vein pop out when they wrap it around your arm (whatever works)!! I would come here again if I had to for myself or my children. I have never had such quick, easy and painless lab work done! The whole team was kind and welcoming here but Maria who took care of drawing my blood was the highlight of my visit!
