After experiencing what I saw today at Quest Diagnostics, I had to write a review and am considering going a higher up to potentially complain/report. I came in on April 19th right after seeing my GP for a urinalysis and a blood sample. There was a long wait, which I expected since I figured many doctors in this building use Quest's services. I finally get called back from the waiting room into the "lab" area. I first notice on the front desk that there is a tray of about 10 urine samples just sitting there... Completely disgusting to have 10+ urine samples sitting out in the middle, instead of being put in the lab area. I did the blood test first, and after being violently stabbed by the woman, she put about a 2 inch piece of medical tape on my arm to hold down the cotton square. Naturally, the tape came off right away so my arm started bruising immediately. Then the woman gave me the urine cup and motioned to the bathroom. I do my thing, and when I go to wash my hands and clean up the cup... There was no paper towels AND NO SOAP. Are you kidding me???? This lab is specifically for medical/health, yet there's no HAND SOAP in the bathroom that is specifically being use for urine samples. How disgusting. As the woman tells me to put my urine sample on the front desk, I put it in the tray with the 10+ urine samples sitting there...And notice that there are about 5 viles of blood tests just sitting there. I been to several other lab companies for blood work and NONE of them have been do disgusting and not clean before. Definitely telling the referring doctor and potentially going to the medical board so nobody else has to see such a disgusting lab read more

These guys are terrible. When you call you hear, "Appointments are not necessary but are highly recommended" and then, you can't get a live person on the phone to make the appointment. WTF??? How about a little human interaction? And then??? "Walk-ins are always welcome." I don't want to spend all day sitting in a waiting room waiting for my turn. How about some human interaction so I can set an appointment. Profits before people. read more

Absolutely awful!!! The office is dirty! One very RUDE nurse working there. I had begged her to be gentle while drawing my blood and she shoved the needle in my arm like I had owed her thousands of dollars and badmouthed her parents! My arm completely bruised and I was in so much pain the whole time, she had NO people skills, no kindness or empathy! I left the office in tears! read more

The worst experience I've ever had! They overcharged me without letting me know. the receptionist was so rude . terrible customer service..all i wanted was a call before charge me for extra ..but they said its not our duty ..be careful if you are a cash payer !! once you ready for the test they ask you for like 80$ and make u sure that the price is reasonable but after a month they bill u for 300$ !! when u ask why? they say our doctor realized that u needed more test on your urine :)) ok.. Your not gonna believe with what my Dauther went threw here! The nurse stabbed her with the needle on the right arm first and she used the big needle not even the baby needle they usually use for her She wasn't even gentle and stabbed her hard in her right arm with the needle to take her blood. My Reuther was telling her ow and telling her to stop and no blood came out . She tried doing the other arm snd she stabbed the needle again into her arm and wasn't even gentle and she started liking the needle back and forth into her arm she was telling her to stop they nurse said to let he try again but my daughter was In so much pain she couldn't stand it from the needle and my Daughter is not even that afraid from needles! Turns out she never got the blood drawn from her arm and we left with my daughter crying in tears read more

If you have a fear of needles, this is the place to come. I'm terrified of blood tests.TERRIFIED. Because I've been told many times by other places I have small veins. And I've never had anyone know how to draw blood and get it right the first time without a lot of pain. I've put off surgery because I don't want to face needles. My husband suggested I find a place that specializes in drawing blood. I didn't know they even had places like this, or professional phlebotogists who do this for a living. I asked my surgeon for a referral and they sent m to Quest. They're specialists. I was still nervous this morning. The office is kind of cold looking, and the receptionist very business-like -- no smile. A kid was screaming bloody murder back there, which wasn't exactly calming my nerves. But since I had an appointment, they were quick. Twenty minutes. Angel was my phlebotogist and was a pro. I HAD NO IDEA BLOOD DRAWING COULD BE THIS PAIN FREE. She used a baby needle, and I felt a pinch -- and that was it. No more stabbing, no making a fist for three minutes. Truth be told I have such a phobia I was holding a stuffed animal reserved for kid patients. She was kind, quick. Done. I'm still sitting here in awe of how easy it was. I was so grateful that I hugged her. So the five stars is seriously for the fact that it was a miraculous experience for a needle-phobe. I don't think I'll be traumatized ever again -- not as long as I get to come back here. read more

*****DO NOT GO HERE****** Worst place ever. The workers have seriously the worst attitudes I've seen anywhere. Ironically they work at a place of medical related environment that are supposed to help and be welcoming to patients. No HI, they have an iPad and everyone is older who goes to this place that do not know how to use it. They don't want to help the elderly use technology and help them what so ever. I was disgusted just watching them interact with patients. My dad had to tell the worker to help the lady use the iPad who was struggling and she rolled her eyes. Our lab request was the biggest deal for them since they had to fax papers which took up over an hour while we're both fasting. Just do not go to this place and I've heard stories from all quest diagnostics. This was our first time and we literally walked out after an hour of zero answers by the staff. They abuse their patients here who are elderly, someone should check this place out legally. Disgusting people. read more

I came to this location to drop off the specimen, the girl who was sitting in front off the desk (I think she said her name is Naeli)was rude. No hello, no please, all I heard sign and seat. I think Quest diagnostic is a big and professional company and people like her won't work in a such a company. As a doctor I want accept such a behavior in my office! read more

Very friendly staff. Wait was only 5 minutes. Blood draw was super quick!! And almost didn't feel it!! I hate needles etc and always lay down if in case I pass out but this was no problem! I will be back. Parking on street can be busy. There's a garage. I was lucky and found a spo on the street. read more

Their billing department is amazingly inaccurate. I sure hope whoever's keeping track of information there isn't in charge of finances! They repeatedly send information to an old address, despite having had my new medical insurance information and contact info, they have the nerve to send a bill from months ago that's already been paid for twice, to a collection agency. They also ran it through the wrong insurance company. Whoever is in charge of their patient records should be fired. Incorrectly billing someone to the wrong address then calling them early in the morning to harass them is inhuman and messed up. They've been given my new contact information repeatedly and still manage to get it wrong. No professionalism from their billing staff. read more

I arrived at 4:40, signed in, and then asked the girl at the front if my doctor had faxed the orders in. She said, "I don't know, please sit and wait your turn" When she called my name it was 4:59, and told me no orders, I told her the doctor sent me to this location, and the orders must be here. She told me to go ahead and leave the urine specimin, but when I came out she told me no orders. Then she said oh they might have faxed upstairs. I asked her to call, she told me they were closed. I could not believe she did not have a back office number to call. Finally at 5:05 she did push to talk on her phone and asked. They didn't have my orders, and she said sorry, we need to throw it out. If she would have let me ask her the question prior to almost 5:00, I could have reached my doctors office. She was rude and could not care less. I was not the only one she was rude to. There was a woman with a child. They were sitting there for about 10 minutes, then she told them to also go upstairs to the suite on the 3rd floor. How is anyone supposed to know which location to go to when there are two in one building! Back to Labcorp!!! read more

Appointment or not you have to wait for the only 2 nurses to stop running their mouths to assist you. My appointment was at 2 nearly 15 minutes passed and no one even asked what I was there for. Horrible! The worst service! read more

Horrendous customer service. I was also charged twice for their own mistakes of tossing my blood sample prior to obtaining results. They are awful over there. They ever threw away my blood sample and I had to go back and take another! Are you kidding me? read more

I am normally a baby when it comes to getting my blood drawn. I'll either cry or pass out. Whatever Cynthia does though completely changes that. She is incredible and so patient and I was okay throughout. read more

Just finished up a 3 hour glucose tolerance test which I was dreading, and have to say this was as comfortable of an environment as possible to do it in. The ladies are very friendly, pro's at blood draws and there's even a comfy couch in back to relax and hang out on while you wait out the lengthy time. Highly recommended to any preggo's out there in the west valley who have the pleasure of needing to get this lab done! read more

I have never had such a bad result as from this lab. After experiencing a lot of pain in my arm from the blood draw and during the blood draw which I didn't complain at the time, I also noticed I had a needle prick on the lower end of my arm which was very disturbing meaning the phlebotomist either pricked my arm with the IV needle before or after she put it into my arm. Later that day, my arm was very swollen in both places and now today I have an almost four-inch size bruise on the inside of my arm. Being concerned about it, I went back to the lab today, and her response was: ice it...wow that wasn't the reason I came to discuss it. This should have never happened and apparently Quest should do a better job in hiring their employees. I still have a lot of soreness and will definintely not be coming back to this lab location! read more

The people that work at the front desk and the needle-stickers are perfectly pleasant and good at what they do, given the usual medical office indifference. However, their billing policies, demands for up-front credit card pre-authorizations based on "estimates," the complete refusal of their main office to give any detailed price or billing information, and their direct refusal to mail even a summary or statement unless they're asking for more money (assuming you're lucky enough to get someone on the phone) is ridiculous and disturbingly unprofessional. I would look elsewhere for diagnostic services. read more

If you hate your job... why are you working here?!? Very unfriendly. I was going to have my blood drawn at the doctors office but they couldn't do all the test they had to do they sent me downstairs. They even WARNED me about the people and said sorry to send you down there I wish I could do it here for you. So I walk in and wait no problem. You have to pay for parking like every 15 min but they don't care took their time. When I get called the nurse doesn't tell me to wait in the room he just points. Then doesn't answer me. I wait in the chair and he does not say a word to me I tried making convo to distract but literally does not say anything just pokes me takes my blood and then tells me to go pee. Once I'm done I wait. He says 'uh you're done?' Then points at the door. I say 'thank you soooo much'! I looked for a survey to fill out but interestingly they didn't have any in the bin.... You're not working in customer service so I don't think it should be that dreadful. read more

I was surprised by the absolutely great service and care given to me on my visit. And it was all because of one employee who was fantastic - I am kicking myself for not getting her name. However, she was the senior person (of the two employees) in the office on this day, May 21st, 2013. As a business owner myself, I pay attention to service and it was clear from the start that this woman was in control of the office and in control of the customers and the work. I had to have blood drawn four times in one day so I had a lot of time to observe. I actually fainted, blacked out completely, after the first blood draw, and when I woke up, this employee had me in a secure position with a cold pack on the back of my neck and was talking to me and patiently ensuring that I was lucid and ok. What stood out, aside from how wonderfully she treated me, was the way that she seemed to be training the other, junior employee. What I heard several times was, "I want you to know how to do this... because it is very important." Again, as a business owner, I felt like I was hearing myself training an employee and carefully choosing the important pieces of information to pass along in order to ensure that my business was successful and my service level was outstanding. Summary: I don't know how other people feel about Quest, and I'm sure that service varies from location to location and day to day. I'm really writing this review because I want that woman's manager to know how great she was. Employee of the month is not enough. I hope they appreciate her and keep her. Thank you! read more

Is there a rating less than 1 star. If there is then that is how I would rate Quest. The location is the address on Burbank, not Etiwanda. I submitted my 3 specimeins for testing and did not get the results timely. My Drs. office kept calling and was told that my results were pending. After 7 days he was told that they never received my specimen. I had to re do the test which delayed my diagnosis again. I was extremely ill and had to delay medication until I had the test results. The day I went for my tests the employees were fighting amongst themselves. So unprofessional. Stay far away from this place! read more
