First time visiting this Labcorp location and I had a really great experience. The biggest surprise was the parking. There was plenty of it, which is rare compared to other Labcorp locations where parking is usually paid and a hassle. The office is small and was pretty full when I arrived, but even with an appointment, I was called back within just a few minutes. Bernice was handling everything during my visit, and she was amazing. The waiting room had several patients asking questions and feeling impatient, but she stayed calm, organized, and efficient the entire time while keeping things moving. She mentioned it's usually a two-person team, but they were short on supplies that day, so she was holding things down on her own, which made it even more impressive. When it was my turn, she was professional and kind. I usually have very difficult veins and often get poked multiple times, but she got it on the first try. Overall, top-tier service. I would definitely recommend this location. Just be patient if it's busy - they're working hard and doing their best. read more

For several years I have been going to Labcorp in Tarzana for all bloodwork ordered by my doctors. Unfortunately, the last two appointments they cancelled the day before saying they were closing down for whatever reason. This was really an inconvenience so, I switched Labcorp office's and starting going to the one located a 7345 Medical Center Dr., Suite 502 in West Hills. This Labcorp is even WORSE than the Tarzana office. I had lab work in June pending my surgery in July and they lost the bloodwork. My doctor's office said they were able to recover my bloodwork and Labcorp had my birthday mixed up. I had additional bloodwork in July pending a medication that I take weekly and as of today, the bloodwork is still NOT uploaded in my patient portal. My doctor's appointment is tomorrow to review this bloodwork. You can never reach anyone at the West Hills office. I have left 3 phone messages and now 3 messages via "patient inquiry." I highly recommend to my Yelp Peeps not to go either office. I no longer will, since I am very disappointed with the lack of service at both Labcorp offices. read more

I had a very concerning experience at this LabCorp location. I brought both of my parents for blood work, and this was our first time visiting. My parents have significant medical and cognitive challenges. My father has had a stroke, and my mother uses hearing aids. From the start, the receptionist's behavior was alarming. On the phone, I overheard her arguing and speaking loudly, sharing information in a way that was completely inappropriate. When we arrived, I asked if I could accompany my parents, and she repeatedly insisted that they were "not babies" and did not need me there. She also repeatedly told my parents that they should come and tell me that they did not cry like a baby when getting their blood drawn. Her comments were demeaning, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. This behavior made what should have been a simple appointment stressful and upsetting for my parents. There is no reason for any patient or family member to be spoken to in this manner, especially when the patients have cognitive or hearing challenges. I strongly hope LabCorp addresses this issue so no other families have to experience something like this. read more

I went late morning and had an appointment- checking in was simple, I scanned my QR code then waited around 10min. The wait room was clean. The technician was friendly and professional- she did her best to make me comfortable by doing small talk and I got the results super quickly. Plenty of free parking in front as it's in a strip mall. They are often closed due to "unforeseen circumstances". When they are open, there is usually only one person working who has to check people in, deal with their billing and draw blood. So, even if you have an appointment you have to wait. The employees are unfriendly. The waiting room is small so you can hear everything when they check people in I'm sure people don't want others hearing that they are dropping off a stool sample or other personal information. LabCorp Encino was so easy! You walk right in and you're out in five minutes Lily took my blood and she was an absolute delight! I had a little cat scratch on my arm, and she was so considerate to make sure she covered it up so it would not hurt me when she put the tourniquet on. Most people would've ignored that . Okay Labcorp Tarzana... I'm giving you more love in the future. I don't expect much from Labcorp as a chain... I really don't it's not worth it lol (if you've been to a location you know)... If I need blood work it's typically easy in and out most of the time possibly longer with an appointment on certain days and easy service even when they're understaffed (which all are). I stopped in to this rustic plaza location near a dive bar favorite (Maui Sugar Mill) in Suite 17 (outside and diagonal from the bar) between Ventura Blvd and Clark St near Tarzana Medical Center just behind Vons and CVS off Reseda Blvd for a drop-off and checked in on my phone via appointment because I'm not sure if any locations take walk-ins or not and none of the locations seems to have a working phone or maybe just never enough staff to have someone on calls... So why even have a number hahahaha... Make an appointment... might be in a few days... might be in a few weeks, but you'll get something. I did notice people cancel at this location some slots open up which is the holy grail when trying to plan ahead. I was pleasantly surprised when I booked something for today just a few days prior to the weekend. And even more, surprised by the medical person working the desk who was more than on top of everything including the woman and her small son who came in a few minutes after me. They checked in and he greeted her by name and said he'd be right with them after me and to have a seat in their very quaint waiting area with social distancing chair space amongst way less than ten chairs, a kiosk, informative posters, and the front counter... Might be a plant in there if nothing else We went over my paperwork and I came in back and dropped off my stuff and was on my way in under five minutes max. A lot of the people leaving reviews for this location may very well have had unpleasant experiences (though most aren't using real profile pictures, only review places they dislike... Once a year and/or actual first names so the suspicion is real)... But having had such an easy and personable experience it's a win for me. read more

This place has the coolest managing Doctor, and the flowbotamist (I cant spell) was so patient and kind. They're a great local blood lab to visit if you're needing your routine labs done, as they remain open for our general needs during the pandemic. They are not an appointed Covid19 testing room and will turn away anyone who asks for that... so please do not go in there if you suspect symptoms as these professionals are servicing the needs of the many others with other medical conditions. The nurse on staff was so kind as to help me even though my process took too long and she had to stay late. What a golden staff. What great service! read more

I have never gone out of my way to leave a negative review for a company but my experience with this Labcorp has been nothing short of terrible. For starters, there is hardly ever someone sitting at the front desk to assist. When someone finally came from the back, they looked at me with disgust and that I was an inconvenience to them. I had been waiting on important lab results for 2 weeks, only to find out that the test was never actually done! To make matters worse, I went back to do the test again and I am still waiting on results. The nurses were very rude and seemed like they were just rushing to go to lunch. My husband went in to do lab work as well and I just found out that they performed the wrong tests! This is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. Please improve your services. read more

The only good thing about this place was that their check in was simple fast and easy. Other than this, this place is a hell hole. I came in for simple Blood work And came out with a sore bruised up arm. Let me tell you what happened. 11:00 am dec. 10th, 2019 I came in and got seated early. When the phlebotomist came in, she was a medium height blonde Hispanic woman. And immediately told my mother to sit down. I told the woman, " i don't like getting my blood drawn, i get anxiety and cry. I would like my mom with me" The woman then told me " you'll be fine, you can sit over there. " very rudely . Then as she was preparing my arm with the alcoholic swab. My mom who's also a nurse and has been a phlebotomist. Asked the woman if she could use the butterfly for me. The woman told my mom, while gesturing at herself, " I'm gonna be the one to check her veins " As if my mom told her if she could draw my blood. This woman had ZERO BEDSIDE MANNERS. While she was peeping my arm she was swabing my arm so rough i knew she was gonna hurt me. After she pricked me i could feel the needle, and all the blood rushing to my fingers and i also could feel the blood being pumped right out of me. After that we left and my arm was hurting the entire day. I could barley move it. But once i started moving it it was feeling a bit better but still hurting. Management does not care about your time or overwhelming their staff. They only had one technician there today and she called her manager to get back up but was told no one else would be coming. The technician did the best that she could but we still waited 1.5 hours to be seen. There were a lot of people. read more

Beware! A conveyor belt for patients, that's all it is. They do NOT give a damn about your "health care." Guy at the front desk said I need doctor's orders for a TB test. For a TB test?!? I explained that their website allowed me to make an appointment and there's no one that answers their phone--this would've been a 2 minute conversation. Labcorp acted like I was crazy for not having an order from a doctor. Turns out that my insurance referred me to a place that does walk-ins for TB tests. There's literally dozens of health care places that accept walk-ins without doctor's orders. I feel sorry for all the patients that have to deal with this place. read more

The male "nurse" here is beyond rude. I was having trouble checking in as the machine would not take my driver's license for some reason. He just yelled at me to "Figure it out!!" when I told him I needed help. There was a junkie laying across two chairs and some guy reading from a holy book out loud REALLY LOUD. Then in walked Lacreetia and she wanted me to hurry up. It was an insane asylum. I left without having blood drawn and went to a totally different company to have it done. This place is absolute garbage and that nurse in particular is a hostile A-hole. If you have any standards whatsoever, stay away! If you yourself are trash, then it's perfect for you. read more

Really bad customer service... they also tend to open late. So you get there early and they are 10-15 min late and your schedule gets messed up because of it. I come first thing so i can still take my daughter to school on time and they open late. The person that works the front and rude. If there were another option i would not be using this lab. Hassle free experience. I made an appointment to have Covid antibody testing performed. I made an appointment on Friday evening for Monday morning. The check in process was so simple and there was absolutely no wait time. The moment I checked in, Tasha (phlebotomist) called me in to draw my blood, and I must say - she is well experienced. I felt zero pain or discomfort. If I hadn't been looking at the needle go into my vein, I wouldn't have felt a thing. Thank you Tasha and thank you LabCorp. read more

Beware, these people DO NOT CARE at all about your Health Care. I came in to pick up stool test, handed nurse my prescription. She handed me ONE test, told me to bring in next day. I came back and they were closed on a Monday- no explanation on door or where closest LabCorp located. I went to drop off at Northridge Location, first thing nurse said to me, where is 2nd test. I responded, never received 2nd test. He gave test only to find out not all the components were in envelope to do the test. I went back to Tarzana today and she was telling me it's no big deal over & over, you can still do the test. I showed her instructions that were very clear it was a big deal and insisted she give me a new one. I asked her name and number for manager and she refused. She said "I have too much going on". I'm looking for a 'boo-hiss' rating here, and being forced to give at least one star to submit my rating (there's no way a star matches this facility) On Monday, I scheduled a fasting blood draw (order sent by my physician) for 9:15a today, Thursday, Aug29th, at LabCorp Tarzana (18399 Ventura Boulevard, suite 17, Tarzana, CA 91356) due to an issue with one of the tubes when my blood was drawn during my annual physical in my physician's office earlier this month. Initially ecstatic that I could walk there from home (I LOVE to walk), I left home as planned and arrived just prior to the advance arrival requested for my 9:15a appointment, with my smartphone open to the text confirmation for scanning my arrival. I pushed on the door to view an empty room--other than the littered floor and walls with masking tape borders, plus supplies such as sandpaper, buckets, etc. randomly positioned...No desks, chairs, or people other than a very nice painter who filled me in, pointing to a piece of paper taped to the window (if I'd KNOWN to look for it, I MIGHT'VE noticed it--maybe!!) that relayed that visitors needed to go to an alternate location on Roscoe Blvd. I returned home, happy for the morning walk, but with ruffled feathers for the time spent away from my work without accomplishing the desired result (total of under an hour only because it took very little time to thank the painter and turn around!). Once home, I searched all inbound email and text notifications under 'sender: LabCorp', looking for ANYTHING along the lines of "sorry for the inconvenience, but please show up at one of our other locations or reschedule your appointment for the Tarzana location if preferred' (that's wording I might've put together to send to people putting their trust in my services...), but found only confirmations for the original appointment made, with instructions to show up 15 minutes prior to appointment time at 18399 Ventura Boulevard, suite 17, Tarzana, CA, 91356. Even my private helicopter wouldn't have swept me off my feet effectively with time to show up during the reserved time. first of all, you guys should hire someone kind and welcoming to your front desk. The guy at the front who checks you in, is the same person who takes your blood. while he may be good at taking blood, he has ZERO skills when it comes to talking with paying customers. i will never come here again and will take my business somewhere else. he barely wanted to help me out with printing my prescription and pretty much said "you have to go back to your doctor to get a printed copy" when the guy literally had a printer behind him and could have just helped me out in the situation. whatever happened to customer service? read more

I love this location. They don't get very busy. The ladies are super fast and it never hurts at all! Found out I was pregnant and they were so excited and supportive of me. Remember to drink lots of water. If you are not hydrated you will bruise easily and it will be difficult for the blood to come out. Everyone needs to do their part to prevent bruising. Where do I start, this office is staffed with 1 person that checks you in, and draws the blood. At first I thought she was slow but then once called I realized she's trying to spend time with each customer, gather the needed info then take you to the back to draw the blood. Overall, I once called in the lady was fine, and friendly but she's overwhelmed. I hope the company will hire someone else. I give the lady 4 stars, and the establishment 1 star adding up to 2 stars. I had an 8:15 appointment and I arrived at 8:31am (late). This location has the express check-in kiosk that can scan your ID/License to verify your identity and check you in automatically. I had no issue with the machine but the gentleman who entered after me got all huffy and puffy and I overheard him say it froze on him. As the other reviews state, there is one person running the show here. I actually find it impressive. There was one person ahead of me in the lobby, and a person inside getting their blood drawn, and two people who came in after me. I was out of there before 9:07am. She did at least 6 regular tubes and then 2 smaller tubes of blood, and I also did a urine sample. I think she was with me for no more than 10 minutes and my wait time in the lobby was 25 minutes at the most. I think that is very reasonable, considering I was late for my scheduled time. IMO if there was no kiosk things would have been slower. I didn't catch the ladies name, but she was pleasant, didn't make me feel like she was rushing through but at the same time did not make feel like she was slow. It seemed very organized and efficient. I'm not really sure why everyone is giving this place such poor reviews. read more

The woman was just complaining the whole time about how they were short staff and she was the only person working. Which hey I get. I do agree with other customers that there is only one person and she is overwhelmed but set that aside I think she is the best technician I've found in a long long time.She is the best at what she does.Its really hard to Draw my blood to the point that sometimes the anesthesiologist is the one who steps in .But every time I came to this location this lady finds my vein with one attempt which means a lot to me.Last time She was not in and the other lady poked me in both my arms searching for my veins and after 3,4 minutes I had to finally give up and leave without any results.So I really appreciate Claudia and will follow her wherever she goes.I hope the corporate values her performance as well and brings someone in to help her. Lab Corp YOU NEED TO ADDRESS which ever lab technician you had at this address on 12/26/18 closing. She was very very very DISRESPECTFUL AND DISSMISSIVE. As I entered she was on her cell phone and looked at me and hen the clock and said " I close at 4pm and you are just coming in." This time was 3:55pm. I said my apologies on google maps it showed that lab Corp closes at 5pm. She continued on her phone conversation and took my orders to look at it. SHE WALKS BY ME AND TURNS OFF THE LIGHTS TO THE LOBBY I AM STANDING IN AND THEN LOCKS THE DOOR. now I am standing in the dark. She walks to the back and carries on her phone conversation stating "oh these people don't care, she walks in here at this time and I need to leave at 4pm." And she continued as if I'm not patient who clearly is sick and needed the blood drawn. She acted as if someone forced her to be at this job. I told her to hand me back my orders as she was very DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE. She should not be in the "medical field" or doing anything with customer service if that is her nasty behavior. 2 other patients were standing at the door, she opened the door to let me out and closed it right back before the people could say anything.
