Fyi there's construction on Ventura right now, so drive around to the back and park up the ramp and they do validate! The front desk was so nice and upfront about copays right away. I was called back quickly for vitals, and Dr. Zadorian was great. He was super friendly, thorough, and clearly explained the treatment plan, wrote my prescription, and gave solid advice on prevention. The facility is spotless, professional, and I was in and out in under an hour. Definitely my new go to whenever something comes up.

Before they'd even check my insurance, they tried to hit me with an outrageous fee, no verification, no explanation. Then, without so much as a basic assessment, no vitals, no exam, nothing, staff told me to "go to the hospital," while I could hear them discussing how the doctor wanted to close early. My breathing problem wasn't the priority. Getting me to pay up and getting me out the door was. This isn't a minor inconvenience. Quoting a patient a large fee before even confirming their coverage, then turning them away in respiratory distress without an evaluation so staff could leave early, is a serious failure. Both financially predatory and a failure of basic care. Between the inflated fee and being refused care I came in during business hours for, this feels less like an off day and more like a pattern of putting money and convenience over patients. I would not trust this location with any health need much less emergency.

I had to stop by Pacific Medical Services twice in one week for blood tests. I arrived at the office without an appointment and there was no one waiting. The office is very small with just a few chairs, and a small tea/coffee station. I was taken in immediately. Very often, my veins are difficult to work with. During the draw, the phlebotomist was Jose. He was able to get the draw on the first try and I did not have type of bruising or issues afterward. I had to return a couple of days later for a test that must be done early in morning. Upon arrival, there were a few people ahead of me and it was standing room only. There was only one person working and she was with a patient in the back, so it took some time to check in. After checking in, another employee arrived and those in the waiting room were helped. The phlebotomist that I had for the second test was Joanna, aka JoJo. She was very personable and was able to get the draw on the first try. I enjoyed speaking with her and she made the appointment comfortable. I had no issues with bruising after the test. The office is on the second floor of a medical building. The building has paid parking, but I always park on the street. There is metered parking and free street parking available within easy walking distance of the building.

I was told they treat kids, they asked…read morehow old I said 7 and the women on the phone said come in we will xray and at least stabilize it. I got there at 9 pm. We checked in, waited 45 mins, then were brought back to a room with No. Air conditioning, and waited for an hour . It was so hot we had to sit in the hallway. The "nurse or whoever she was" someone in scrubs was in the hallway and I asked if they can take the xray this way the dr doesn't come back after an hour and 45 mins and then we have to wait for an xray. I also asked if she could bring my daughter ice in which she brought a really hard pack of ice that had no bend or softness to it, which obviously hurts to lay on a swollen wrist. She said let me ask. 15 more minutes, I found out there is NO xray machine. The NP came out to talk to us in the hallway, very nice. She told us they have no xray machine and she needs an xray. I understood that which is why I was there in the first place. I asked her if she can stabilize it at least until we can get her to a doctor tomorrow. She then said yes. When she was gone for a while, I walked down the hallway to just say we were gonna go home watch the emergency room at this point were there for two hours. That's when I saw her and the woman that I've mentioned in the scrubs in the office with a wrist brace met for an adult. It was the same size breeze I wore after my wrist surgery! Ivan said if you guys don't have anything to treat a kid do you have anything to stabilize it so I can at least get home. They said of course, I said great because I don't wanna put her in a brace that is bigger than what she needs and it's not going to do anything or potentially make it worse. The NP then brought out the material that she placed my daughter's wrist on and then wrapped it. This was all done in the hallway by the front reception. And then paid a $30 co-pay which I think is ridiculous. I have no idea what I was paying for it. We left my daughter was in so much pain at night. She wanted us to remove what they used to stabilize her wrist. What a joke it was two inserts from a shoe and an ace bandage. The inserts have a curved down obviously because they use them flipped over. I'm not a doctor but in my head, I don't know how a potentially broken wrist would be good stabilized in a down direction. I am completely unhappy with my experience. The fact that there was a sleep study going on in the room two rooms ahead of us with a huge queen or king-size bed. I also thought that was weird. We're in an urgent care with sick people and you have a woman in there doing a sleep study you're also applying all of the things to her scalp with the door wide open and her having no privacy. I can't imagine receiving an additional bill outside of my co-pay being that there is nothing done, I will contact my lawyer to fight charge. Next time, please be honest in the services that you offer! To have a seven year-old at your facility until 11 PM just to be told that you can't do anything when she's in pain is awful. I would've just brought her to the emergency room. I'm a fan of all types of music but to have rap/ hip hop played at that volume in an environment where people are sick and there are small children seemed unprofessional to me

It feels like they assume that just because people are injured or sick, they have unlimited time to wait. On multiple visits, the number of staff has actually exceeded the number of patients. The registration tablets constantly malfunction, which only adds to the delays and frustration. The entire place feels impersonal and overly sterile -- no pun intended. Honestly, it reminds me of a brand-new restaurant during a soft opening where everyone is still being trained. That said, I am glad that they are here, even if we have to wait hours to take out 5 stitches.
