I do not handle blood draw well, and my visit was no exception. But the phlebotomist taking care of me was so kind and gentle. My nerves were through the roof and after she finished the blood draw, I felt like I was passing out and she totally brought me back and then took care of me until I felt well enough to leave. Most of the negative reviews about this location are about parking, a slow elevator, and an undesirable check-in service. All of which I don't think is fair or reflective of the actual care you receive. I thought parking was easy, I took the stairs, and the check-in was simply on my phone, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I would definitely return here. read more

Seriously the best quest! This one is farther from my house but I always go here because the phlebotomists are so kind and skilled. Everyone I've seen has been exceptional. I decided to write this review because yesterday I had to take my 2 year old to get his blood drawn for the first time. I fully expected him to be scream/cry and just not cooperate. The two female phlebotomists who helped us were so kind, gentle and skilled. Thanks to them, my toddler didn't cry once - not one tear!! He stayed calm the whole time. Utterly incompetent. I went in for my annual blood draw and spent 30 minutes waiting for the technician "key" each test. This has never happened to me before. She then tells me my out of pocket cost is over $6,0000!!!! I do these tests every year and am charged no more that $400. NO Receptionist. This is a busy location. They definitely need a receptionist I made an advanced appointment but when I checked in the self serve kiosk said I no appt? Arrived back an hour later and I'm still waiting in lobby 20 minutes after my rescheduled appointment , and the people in the lobby who arrived after me are getting called before me. This place is terrible. Other patients complaining in lobby also complaining about errors with the system also. Not having a receptionist is not fair to the employees that work here also. I worked for Quest for 22 years, was a manager, med tech , also drew blood for years prior in a hospital. My experience recently was unacceptable. I have on previous occasions attempted to reach ANYONE in management at the PSC level in Orange County. YOU MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE to reach a manager. You do not give a "darn" about the patient. AND YES I worked for Quest. I had an abysmal experience again on Friday . Your phlebotomist did NOT mix my blood samples properly ( EDTA and Pro Time anticoagulants in the tube were not mixed properly) and when I called her on it... her response was not positive..... . I just reviewed my results and they are abnormal , I am going to have my doctor order free re-testing of my samples and now have to go in for a re-draw. The reason I said I had another NEGATIVE experience at this PSC is because , as others have said, it is understaffed. This is a deliberate decision by management at Quest. Time to update your appointment kiosk. One is out of order. The other one is clearly faulty. I walked up after being sent from my doctor's office across the street. A lady in front of me signs in at the kiosk and then just stands there. She finally moves and I see I was supposed to have been signing in at the kiosk. So I start the process and it says I am too late for my appt so I have to go on the waiting list. I ask the nurse if there's anything I can do but she says no. I've been sitting here for half an hour and four different people had issues with that wretched kiosk. One guy said he signed into the waiting list an hour ago. Nurse asks did it scan your id and ins card. He said no. She said you need to sign in again because it didn't work. I then realize i didn't scan anything either so I probably didn't sign in either. I ask if I need to sign in again and she said I don't see your name so yes. So I just wasted half an hour. Another guy walks up behind me at the kiosk and says he has same issue so he signs in after me again. Then someone walked in to use kiosk and said he can't seem to find the appointment he made a while back. They just put him on the waiting list too. So I guess making an appointment might not help anyway. The old guy who has been waiting an hour got fed up and raised a bit of a stink so they took him. I think it kinda sucks he had to speak up but at least they finally took the poor old guy. Three people just got sent away because they close for lunch from 11:30 to 12:30. Must be nice. I've been sitting here starving bc I had to fast before the blood is taken. But at least the staff are polite and pleasant. read more

Several people with no appointment or appointments later than mine were taken first, and I know this because everyone in the lobby was complaining and comparing our appt times. When I finally got them to listen to me that they'd skipped me, the tech tried to tell me they'd been calling my name and I hadn't been there. An outright lie. They skipped me and should have owned it. When I argued this point to her she refused to draw my blood and went and got another tech. That tech was very nice and got me in and out quick, after sharing that they are short staffed, and not able to take breaks. read more

Zero customer service support or front desk staff. Elder patients who do not know how to work the iPad check in end up standing at the front until another patient is kind enough to assist them. Facility is extremely understaffed and despite having an appointment, I waited 25 minutes to be seen. Quest needs to change their approach as they overall offer no customer service in person or over the phone. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go to any of Quest's locations for blood work. read more

I had an appointment at this location for today, April 13th at 11:10am for a very important and urgent blood test! Upon arrival I checked in and my mother and I sat down as suddenly one of the two women working there came out and said that she does not have an order from my doctor. I showed her the order on the My Quest app. She said I should send it to the email address she provided, but I could not send it, it was just the first part of the order that was visible on the app and not a full order since it included multiple blood work exams. My mother and I told her that we do not understand how we can see the order in the app, and she cannot see it in her system. She was getting very rude and confirmed that she cannot find it and the app has nothing to do with her system in the office. Then the other employee came out to assist another patient, and I tried to talk to her but she totally ignored me. Furthermore, she slammed the door in front of my mother's face and left! My mother and I were shocked about this rude behavior and we finally left. Afterwards, we drove directly to the Quest Lab in Laguna Hills, 23521 Paseo de Valencia, checked in as a walk-in and asked the staff if she is able to find the order for me in her system. She confirmed, the order is there in the system, but unfortunately it was 15 mins before closing time and she could not draw blood from me. Regrettably, I traveled 30 miles, spent 2.5h and still was not able to get my blood work done today! I will have to wait two days, on Monday I have to take a day off from work and visit the Quest Lab this time as a walk-in again. It is self explanatory, that I will not visit the Quest lab in San Clemente on Monday! Despite our efforts to resolve the situation and get the very important blood work done, we encountered disrespectful behavior and a lack of assistance at your Quest lab, 675 Camino de los Mares in San Clemente. This experience was highly disappointing and unacceptable. According to your QUEST WAY, your CULTURE is powered by the 5 C's starting with Customer First. Unfortunately, today's interaction with your employees did not align with this principle at all! We expect better treatment and professionalism from Quest Diagnostics. Moving forward, we hope for a swift resolution to this matter, an apology and assurance that such incidents will not occur again in the future. I was asking a question and she interrupted me mid-sentence to give me an impatient command, which I was already working on anyway. Irritating voice. Obviously hates her job, and maybe her life, maybe even herself. So why should I suffer for it? The only good thing was that she only stuck me once, and the area looks ok. Wow this is the worst lab I've been . I really wanted to like them but the people there obviously hate their job . They are so rude and have no consideration for people . Unacceptable for medical stuff to act like that with sick people . That's the last thing you want to deal with when you don't feel good . For lunch they literally kick you out with no problem even if you faint in their waiting room . I can't imagine who s training this people . They should work with animals not humans .
