I came in to pick up a prescription earlier and made an appointment for 5:20 pm at the minute clinic. The nurse practitioner said I have bites on my fingers but just on my right hand. She thinks it's either bedbugs or contact dermatitis. Lovely. :( Well she was 100% wrong, I still don't know what it is but it's not bedbugs or contact dermatitis. The service was good and fast - this review is not for their medical service. It's for their BILLING! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to have a hellish time paying your medical bill or updating insurance - have been on the phone multiple times, once for over 2 hours - never once got to speak with anyone. Tried updating insurance in their app, on their site, etc. HORRIBLE! So unless you don't mind paying hefty cash prices ($200+) for a visit, and don't ever need to speak to billing or update your insurance, don't go here... read more

It states that the clinic opens at 8:30am. It's now 8:50am and there are 2 employees locked in a room not helping anyone in the lobby and no one has even come out to welcome us or tell us they will be with us shortly. They have been open for 20 minutes and no one has been helped. read more

This is my neiborhood CVS. I come here all the time but I have never used the minute clinic. I stopped in to get a covid test I needed for a procedure and was pleasantly surprised. My experience with the NP Diana Fruzza was warm, knowledgeable and personable. She was patient while I made a few phone calls to find out exactly which test I needed and waited above and beyond as I dug through my bag searching for my insurance card. Like most of us I have had at least a half dozen covid test performed on me. She was gentle but effective. Thank you. read more

Her competence, professionalism and kindness went beyond what I have previously experienced. After assessing me, she directed me to go to the emergency room. I reluctantly did. Thank goodness. Nurse Practitioner Susan Fuerst was awesome. So was the convenience of this MinuteClinic. I was going in because I was certain I had pink eye (ew... gross). When I arrived on Thursday afternoon at noon, I was the only one there. I checked in and was called in within a couple minutes. As she was talking to me, she said it looked like it might be a stye instead of pink eye. She was very patient and nice, and answered all of my questions. After she examined both my eyes, she confirmed that it was pink eye, and also that my other eye that I thought felt fine was starting to get it as well. So she prescribed me antibiotic eye drops, and made an effort to find me the most affordable option, as well as the more convenient (drops to given every 4 hours, instead of every 3 hours). I was in and out of the office in probably 20-25 minutes. But she was efficient, sincere, and didn't make me feel rushed or that I was a nuisance. I would for sure go back to this place if I need to. read more

I have Medicare and Blue Shield yet Minute Clinic does not accept Medicare with RX coverage. You have to pay them and ask Medicare for a "Reimbursement Form" to submit proof of your direct payment to Minute Clinic. They don't explain that scenario even when I inquired and communicating with Minute Clinic is impossible. After 3 months and several conversations with Medicare and Minute Clinic people (who COMMUNICATE after sending the bill to a collection service) we might be on track to get my flu shot snd my shingles vaccine paid. read more

Made an appointment on line. I got there and used the kiosk to log in. I do have to say that the kiosk is a lousy touchscreen. Very difficult to use. Besides that, the nurse practitioner Susan was super awesome. In fact she remembered me from last year when I got my flu shoot. I went because I wanted her to check my slight pain in my jaw but we both thought it was TMJ due to stress and anxiety. Facility was very clean. I know I will be back if I need to see someone other the weekend for an emergency or to get a flu shoot. read more

I came in for some last minute immunizations I needed and Tia was the most helpful nurse ever. She was super friendly and tried to make everything as affordable as possible for me. She even explained my medical record information to me and pointed out that I already had one of the vaccines beforehand. She was super sweet and made my visit really comfortable! read more

I went to this minute clinic facility off of Camino De Estrella with an ear ache thinking it would be fast and easy. The "Nurse" couldn't find anything wrong and wouldn't prescribe an antibiotic as I sat there with this unbearable pain. I was charged a full $89 for her to tell me I had good blood pressure! Horrible experience, long wait and no results. I was referred to Hybrid Urgent Care off of Pico In Talega and met with Dr.Jairam for a second opinion. He immediately spotted and inner ear infection and prescribed me antibiotics which were given to me at his clinic. His knowledge, demeanor and professionalism was top notch. The process, wait time was nothing short of perfection with a welcoming staff. The walk in price was only $95 and I will NEVER proceed with the minute clinic nightmare if I become ill or sick. I have gone a few times now to the CVS Minute Clinic and so far so good. Usually the wait is short, if you go late afternoon, otherwise it can be longer. Last time I went in for an ear ache, since just to see my normal doctor, they couldn't see me until the following week. The appointment was smooth and easy, the Doctor was really nice and she gave me a full check-up, and gave me tips to prevent further ear aches. She also offered a flu shot. I highly recommend going here, and it seems like she is good with kids too! I have seen many moms come with kids and leave with happy faces. read more

Booked an appointment for a couple days before our trip for a COVID test. The day of the appointment we got an email stating that our appointment was cancelled. I called the phone number, and they said they're a National number and have no idea why our clinic cancelled. I'd need to call the CVS directly. So I did. They said Minute Clinic is separate from them and they have no idea. I should call the National number, which I already had. So I went down there. Found out their nurse called in sick, and when that happens they just cancel all appointments. The next appointment available was the following week with no other options within 100 miles. read more

I give this place a decent rating because people should know that a minute clinic can't do a lot of things an average doctor's office can do. Minus 2 stars because despite the name, it doesn't take a minute and there's actually a lot of waiting around that maybe you're better off seeing your regular doctor if you can get an appointment soon or go to an urgent care clinic (but if it's bad enough, go to the Emergency Room). The check in machine will give you an estimate on how long your wait will be, which is awesome. It gave me an approximate wait time of 2 hours. I also got a text message 30 minutes before I'm supposed to be up. However, I get back there on time and I still waited around for 40 minutes to get called. This CVS Minute Clinic is good for: -- Doctor's Note to excuse you from work, class, athletic/sports, family reunion, baby shower, wedding, or whatever activity you don't want to go to. And oh, the note might not be from an actual physician, but it should work (as long as you have a somewhat valid excuse they can write about). -- Very non serious illness that it's almost a joke. -- Physical/general exam for work, class, athletic or sport events, etc. -- Some acute illnesses that are slightly worse than a cold. -- Maybe vaccinations, but I'm not sure on that one so go call them and ask. -- Some refills, but not all. If you need your usual meds refilled asap, they can probably do it as long as you bring your meds with you so they can see what it is and how it's prescribed. But since it's not a real doctor's office, they can't prescribe a lot of different medications because they don't know how, can't, or shouldn't. -- Birth control pills or ring prescription/refill. What it's NOT good for: -- Illnesses that aren't just sniffles such as vertigo, vomiting, rashes, hallucinations, mental breakdowns, depression, broken face, chest pain, trouble breathing, stab wounds, etc. -- Pretty much anything that would need blood testing or an actual doctor with experience. -- Anything that resembles counseling or therapy. Or general caring about your mental or emotional health. -- Chronic illness management such as diabetes, heart disease, depression. Go find a doctor and establish a relationship with one. -- Complicated set of symptoms that has a variety of possible answers. Because you will get a lot of "maybe it's this, maybe it's that -- but if it doesn't go away in a week, you should make an appointment to see your regular doctor". -- Urgent emergency cases such as any type of severe bleeding, any type of protruding bones, animal bites, possible concussion, etc. What this minute clinic claims to be good at: -- Weight management. My opinion is they're probably not as good as they think they are, but I've never signed up for their program. I did ask about basic diet and exercise advice, and it took a lot for me not to spill everything I know that currently contradicts what was said to me. But I don't know, maybe they have decent weight management/weight loss programs. read more

Both my Daughter and I have been to the San Clemente Minute Clinic several times for various health needs. The Staff at the San Clemente Clinic is awesome. The Nurse Practioner (Teresa Wilson), was knowlegable and very compasionate (really good with kids!!). She diagnosed our ailments and perscribed the appropriate medications. What really impressed me was the follow-up phone call the next day to see how we were doing. Unless you want to wait 1 hour at your traditional Doctors office, go to the San Clemente Minute Clinic...you won't be disappointed!! read more

They were excellent the first time I went in last year (for a quick shot) and after that, their kiosk has been so messed up, it is impossible to ascertain whether you successfully signed in or not. The screen which lets you know how long the wait will be is totally inaccurate so you may think it is short and wait, only to learn it is over 2 hours. It has been this way for weeks, wasting our time. Better to go to Costco. It seems like a good idea if it functioned efficiently. The fact they are so remiss on fixing their critical computer equipment outside the facility so that patients cannot even sign in makes one wonder whether the rest of the operation is not up to par either. read more

I went to get my ears syringed and the care I received was hopeless.Dated equipment and no skills.The nurse only attempted to clean one ear and when she was unsuccessful put a metal tool in my ear and tried to scrape the wax from my ear.Frightning.For this incompitence I was charged $99.I contacted customer service to tell them of my experience but they were not interested.My advice is do not use these people seek professional care. read more

Five stars for NP Gail Bernstein! I had zero wait time and she was extremely knowledgeable and efficient! I stopped in on the way home to Long Beach from work in San Diego and was sick with a bad sore throat. She examined me and gave me the proper medications. The only downfall was a pharmacy technician who worked in the pharmacy....I give that very rude girl a big fat ZERO. I personally called and filed a complaint on that person, she doesn't belong working in the public with customers. Go see Gail but go somewhere else to get your Rx's filled!!!!! read more

I got very sick on a Friday night - not sick enough that I needed to go to an ER, but definitely needed a doctor. I've known about the Minute Clinics in CVS, but have never gone to one before. But I didn't know what else to do on a Saturday so I thought I'd try it out. The place opens at 9 a.m. and I got there a few minutes early. You sign in on a computer and they have a screen to let you know how much longer you have to wait. I was the only one there and so got seen as soon as the nurse practitioner arrived. She was super nice, very attentive and quickly prescribed me my much needed antibiotics for what turned out to be a sinus infection, an ear infection and pink eye! Once I started the antibiotics, I started feeling a lot better and I'm just so happy that I decided to try out the Minute Clinic because it was a real life saver. read more

Minute clinic general review. After doing paperwork and my vitals taken etc. I was told they don't take medicare/aetna ppo. My husband went in for a tetanus shot and now we have received a bill. Our insurance covers pharmacy shots but evidently not shots in a pharmacy(medical). The lack of communication at these minute clinics is unprofessional at best. Best go to an established urgent care instead. read more
