I got a referral from my primary to a specialist. She said the front office would email me. They never did, so I tried following up. I would not trust this location. They charged my 19 year old daughter for an office visit and failed to provide the one vaccine that she needed. My daughter needed a vaccine for school, and Optum said that she could come in and get the "free" vaccine. After collecting my child's information, they told her they didn't have the vaccine in stock. However, she would still be charged $211 for the office visit. The very rude lady that works at the front desk should consider how she talks to people. After reading the other reviews, I see I wasn't the only person who found her attitude nasty and dismissive. read more

My husband and I have gone to this office for 15+ years now. Once you find a doctor and staff that make you feel heard and seen, you don't ever leave them. Marie Patam has been amazing, always entertaining all of my questions and concerns as I graduate with my doctorate from WedMD are of Google Medical School (lol), she listens to me and recently I came in with severe pain from what I thought was a pinched nerve. Turns out I have bone spurs on my spine and thanks to Marie, I was able to get help with pain immediately and get in to see the specialists I need. When I had issues with a prescription refill and was in severe pain, Jamie in the front office went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. She was doing everything she could to help me resolve the issues and get the medication before the weekend. When you're in severe pain, the thought of having nothing to help you for days is really scary and Jamie was absolutely amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place. They are one of the main reasons we never want to leave the state. It's not easy to find good medical care. read more

My family has been using Optum care for years. They have always been timely and thorough. In terms of people I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Marie Patam, and the Office Director, Allison Morris. As my Primary Care Physician, I could never imagine using anyone other than Marie Patam. She is medically outstanding and has a wonderful human touch in the way she deals with people. Military Families Stay Away!!!!!! The interpersonal communication skills of the staff here are not customer service or sensitive worthy. If you are a Tricare patient or a part of the military community these people do not treat you with any sympathy at all. Please stay away from this office my military family community. I have never felt more disrespected from a healthcare worker than after a phone call with the front desk lady at this office today 4/6/23. She provided the rudest service and belittled me when all I was trying to get information on is why I was overbilled for appointments I didn't even make. My insurance told me I have been billed fraudulently and that I should refuse to pay as they are too. It has been months of going back and forth between insurance, Optum billing, and the doctors office to get nothing but terrible service and over $600 in bills I shouldn't have. This is why people end up in the hospital with chronic illnesses because they make it so difficult to get preventative healthcare. Dr. Safavi is a very nice and helpful doctor but her staff makes it difficult to respect and ever get care from this office again. read more

Allen jahroumi has been my doctor for sometime. Definitely a fan of his, compassionate, patient, knows his medicine. I have been to a handful of doctors, and he is by far my favorite that I have had. Unfortunately, I've had a number of injuries and he has been there to point me in the right direction. It almost feels like you're seeing a friend versus a doctor. The office staff is also efficient, and helpful. I have called in the past to have refills, questions, and they are quick to call back where as other doctors will ignore the messages until you call multiple times. read more

I am sorry, I seldom write a critical review, BUT.... Staff is seriously lacking. I needed a refill Rx for a client I do caregiving for....talked with staff on 2 different day last week and each time they said they "would contact Dr. Mac and call me back". NO! They did not have the courtesy to call me back! Sad! And last month my client needed an x-ray for her shoulder....I asked for the phone number so that I could make an appointment. They gave me the phone number for the Saddleback Breast Center....yikes! I had to track down the correct number and....they could have also told me that Memorial Care does not make appointments for x-rays....only provide service to "walk-ins". Sad! He's smart and well-educated, but more than that, he's extraordinarily thoughtful and engaged. I handpicked Dr.Jahroumi out of a list of local doctors provided to me by my insurance. I'm glad I chose him. I actually switched Primary Care Physicians as I moved down to South Orange County. Monique at the front was real kind and easy going, especially so early on the morning haha. I had an appointment at 740. Got there by 730 and was immediately tended to. The nurse (I didn't catch her name) who checked my weight and height, checked me into the exam room had also given me a vaccination I requested after my consultation with Dr. Jahroumi. Man... all the reviews are spot on with this guy. First of all, he introduced himself as "Allen", the way he humbly said, "Morning I'm Allen.." made me feel way more comfortable from the start to be open and honest and comfortable. Doctors visits aren't always fun and can give one anxiety with all the worries. Second of all, Dr. Jahroumi has a good temperament and personality it seems. He didn't cut me off when I was talking, he spoke clearly and explained stuff every step of the way. He's humble and likeable. Lastly! He's well experienced and presents himself well and the facilities and staff are very respectful and spoke with a confidential volume/tone. It's a great environment for a medical office with plenty of parking, an easy to see sign and clean modern building. It's well lit with large windows and privacy shades as well. I recently moved to San Clemente so I changed my primary care to Dr. Allen Jahroumi and went in for a visit today. My appointment was at 7:40 but I arrived about 30 minutes early. They immediately took me back and my visit was over before I could even finish filling out the new patient paperwork. HORRIBLE! Do not make an appointment here for any reason. Everything about this office is awful. The receptionist don't pick up the phones (I once had to drive to the office because they weren't answering phones for 5 hours). Simply sending a prior-authorization form to my insurance took 14 DAYS!!! (Normally takes one day). They never provide excuses, just "sorry wasn't my fault, that's someone else's job" to absolutely everything. I worked with a front desk receptionist named "Mary Ana" who repeatedly told me "that's not my job" whenever I asked what was delaying such a simple process. I even asked Mary Ana to have the doctor cal me directly and found out a week later (directly from her) that she didn't pass along the message AT ALL because she "thought it was taken care of"..... makes no sense.... After expressing how frustrated I was that she would Bluntly ignore my request to speak to my down doctor she just said "That's fine mam" and hung up on me.... so much attitude. Never again!!!! It's a shame because Dr.Woods and her nurse had decent reviews but their office is so awful I can't warn people enough to stay away!!! read more

Because OptumCare has neglected to contact me with lab results like the absolutely promised I am now responsible with costs of over $400 in lab fees for which I have no idea what for. I have called OptumCare 2X and they seem to know knowing, although my lab results are there. I will be claiming this loss in small claims court since OptumCare has shown less than any kind of care for a patient that I have ever seen. It's shameful read more

And the young lady at the front desk Oh believe her name was Allison had the most nurturing contagious energy. Made me feel welcomed first time I walked in. My wife and I are very surprised at the critical post criticizing Dr. Wood. We have been Dr. Wood's patients for over two years and have always received her utmost attention and sound advice. Dr. Wood has never rushed through an appointment and always gives us plenty of time to discuss our health issues. She is very caring , straight forward and thorough with her diagnosis. Unfortunately after my previous review I got a call from Marie and it was immediately evident that she was irritated and defensive by the tone of her voice. She let me know she received a call from her corporate office about my review on Yelp and asked me "Why would you do that?" It was hard to get a word in edge wise with her questioning me. One of her questions to me was "Why do you even come to our office if you're not happy with the staff??" She also continued to let me know that she "Doesn't feel comfortable with me being her patient anymore." Even though I've been seeing her for 2+ years. HA! Are you kidding me? All for sharing my frustration with the staff I get dropped as her patient? Didn't know that was even allowed? She not once asked me what happened, or what my side of the story was but I told her what had happened anyways and she definitely was more interested in defending her staff and herself than trying to hear me out and try to fix the issues or apologize. I definitely felt as though she was trying to intimidate me or bully me into feeling bad for writing an honest review about her staff being lazy. If you don't want bad reviews then don't give bad service! I've never in my life had a doctor question me and be as rude as she was. Ever. Who drops a patient because they let you know that your staff isn't doing their jobs? All other doctors I know would love to hear feedback so that it doesn't have to happen to other patients and so that they can improve in areas that they need to. WORST customer service I've ever seen. I'm lucky enough to see a top specialist for my Endometriosis and he always goes above and beyond. He is always doing tons of surgeries as well as teaching other med students, running his own practice and dealing with tons of patients. Him and his staff still are ALWAYS on top of things and doing things when they say they will and in a timely manner. When his staff isn't doing things right away he'll get on them and tell them to pick it up. They don't leave you in the dark and just decide not to ever call you back when they say they will or keep you updated if they stumble on a road block and are trying to figure things out. OptumCare doesn't ever call back, they don't ever update you on anything and they will not do so much as lift a finger to do their jobs. You literally have to call multiple times for WEEKS to hear anything. Nobody in that office ever knows whats going on and are always so confused. It's absolutely ridiculous. I've honestly never seen a lazier doctor's office. I totally understand that mistakes are going to happen sometimes. It's inevitable. But to not be able to express your concerns or frustrations without being disrespected or bullied is awful. It again, shows how unprofessional they are that they take feedback very personally/emotionally instead of having a business mind set about it and trying to problem solve and apologize. Super disappointed and shocked by the treatment I received from Marie. Very uncalled for. ***I do want to mention that the medical assistant Kayla was AMAZING!!!!! She went above and beyond to try and help me get my medication while I was out of town. Kayla was so sweet, very patient and even missed her lunch break just to try and help me out and still never made me feel like I was bugging her. I have been assigned to Dr. Wood as my PCP since January 2020. I tried to schedule a new patient appt but then COVID happened and it didn't seem to matter if I needed to see a doctor. I tried to get a new patient appt a few times but was told I couldn't see a doctor in person here. Which is interesting because my husband was able to see his pcp in person. I finally scheduled a tele health appt but it wasn't with Dr Wood, but with nurse practitioner Theresa. She was very rude and unprofessional. Did not care about any issues I raised. She was also 30 mins late to the "appointment" if you want to call it that. I genuinely felt like she did not care about me. Not only that, but she never followed up with me regarding lab work we talked about. Then I called into the office to find out if she was ever going to get my lab results or order new ones for me. Any time I call, I sit on hold and am transferred multiple times, calls dropped etc. it's just a nightmare and I'm still waiting for someone to call me back. I'm so unhappy with this doctors office. I just got off a 15 minute hold and had to hang up because no one answered. Changing doctors ASAP read more

I moved over to Optum after Dr. Adam Crawford moved out of state. After Dr. Crawfords departure, the facility became "clinical". It is difficult to get communication with the Doctors, the staff filters calls and either don't deliver messages or blow them off. I understand the need for office visits, however, sometimes that is not possible. Rather than communicate with thier patients, they would rather refer you to urgent care or an emergency room. Office visits are rushed and appear inconvienent. I will be switching health care to a more personal service. read more
