Shoutout to Marissa. Great phlebotomist. She listened, she did it with one stick. It was quick. Painless. My veins roll and I often get stuck multiple times by multiple people. But not this time. Ask for Marissa. Also excellent - my 11 am appointment was spot on. Marissa called my name at 11 am on the dot. I was out the door nine minutes later. Thank you Quest of Montebello for respecting my time. This is my second Quest experience...Marissa drew my blood then too...that's why I know she's consistently friendly and consistently efficient. Check in was easy. I received an option to check in by text. Which I appreciate but I had already checked in at one of two kiosks in the waiting area. The place was busy with lots of people at 10:45 am on a Tuesday. I have always made an appt thru the Quest website. But they do take walk ins, tho from what I observed, I recommend getting an appt. Choose your location, choose your time. If your desired time is not available, you can select another location. The Whittier location on Whittier Blvd is also a tried and true facility. The check-in process is super easy. At the kiosk, answer a few questions then scan your id both sides then your medical insurance card both sides. Have a seat until they call you. Marisol did the stick so easily that I barely felt a thing. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Which was even before my scheduled appointment time. I highly recommend this location. read more

Came here for a quick blood test per request of my MD. Scheduled online via the quest website (make an account otherwise you'll have troubles booking an appointment). Checked in via the text message link sent to my phone hours ahead of my scheduled 2:50pm appointment and was out by 2:58pm. Poked me 4x with 3 different phlebotomist and still not able to get any blood. I was bruised for 10 days.

Nurses were all fine etc. it's the company that completely screwed me over. I was sent here from an urgent care for lab work. Was told it'd be roughly 200, without insurance. And they had listed in red option to discount for said lack of insurance. Was never pitched any payment plans or aid. Ended up costing me almost 700 dollars for a blood draw and peeing in a cup. This location deserves a shoutout. I came back to this location in 2 years and it is the same consistency. I did not have an appointment so I put myself on the waitlist, only waited about 30 mins even though the room is filled with other patients. The techs take patients in and out and they are very efficient, friendly and professional. Most important they know what they are doing. Again, I have small veins and Marlene who has been there a little over a year got it on her first tried and I barely feel any pinch! Every time I go to an appointment at Quest , the girls are so rude as if they are so unhappy. Why not find a job that work with you . Worst location ever. I've been waiting as a walk in for 4 hours. When I first arrived they said it would take an hour or so. I can't believe they would let me wait this long. So so sad. I needed to be fasting for my tests and it's not 1pm. I arrived at 8:30am. This is worse than being at the Emergency Room. Never again will I come here. read more

Took my mother for her appt today so glad I went with her, some of the staff is very rude -- Quest you need to do better. Thankfully the tech that took my mother's blood was friendly and efficient. Your check-in devices are a great idea in theory but make it difficult for elderly people and people with disabilities to use them. People shouldn't be left to wait confused. It would help if you had a receptionist available to assist at all times our elderly deserve better treatment. The quality of patient care needs to be improved tremendously. read more

Surprised at the rather low rating for here, but as a first time patient I was pleasantly surprised with the promptness and speed of service I received. Had some blood and lab work ordered by my doctor taken care of in 10 minutes. The nurse was attentive and asked to make sure I was doing ok while being worked on. Walked in with my mother and good thing I don't let her go alone. Seems like these people in customer service positions have completely missed any training required to hold the jobs they should be grateful for! I witnessed how poorly the customers here r treated by the big girl they have at the front desk. The older lady that was ahead of me In line tried explaining that she didn't know how to use the check in things they have in the reception area but couldn't even get a sentence out as this big girl kept speaking over her . I'm not the one to write reviews but I'm this case I feel I need to. As a Registered Nurse I always treat my patients with kindness and respect. I've been to this location other previous times and have never experienced an encounter like I did today. Phlebotomist Sonia was very rude to my 2 year old son and me. I feel there's always a way to speak to people specially children, and that is something this lab tech lacks of. When drawing blood from my son as likely with every children he moved but I also felt that sonia was not doing a good job, keep in mind I'm a nurse so I know how it's supposed to be done, so I requested another person to try and immediately she responded "well he moved you didn't hold him right" I did not argue with her but just requested for someone else to try. The site were she tried drawing blood is swollen. The other lab tech was so much better she was talking to my son and giving reassurance all the time. Unfortunately I won't be going back to this location because phlebotomist like that shouldn't be working. read more

In looking at the previous comments about Quest Diagnostics I notice that these cannot possibly be regarding the location I went to which is their Montebello location on Via Campo. I know this for a fact because this location has only been open six to eight weeks. It has been a rather busy day for me running around having had an earlier doctor's appointment in Whittier and with general chores. I was running late and literally arrived 3 minutes before their posted closing time. Mind you I have to use a walker to get around so when I'm running it's actually at a snail's pace. How fortunate that being as late as I was I was the only patient there. My phlebotomist quickly checked me in seeing that I was mobility-impaired and asked me to meet her in room number 6. I was literally in and out of there after having my lab work completed within 5 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and took great care of me opening all doors making sure that I was safe while leaving their establishment. I am extremely pleased with this location of Quest Diagnostics and look forward to returning the next time I need lab work done. read more

Came in as a walk in to bring my daughter for blood test. I wasn't able to schedule an appt as this was last min test requested and the next available appt is not till Friday and I won't be available. Anyways I was turned away at the door. Apparently the lobby was at full capacity "at the moment" and they weren't accepting walk ins "at the moment". Online it states that they accept walk ins. Quest's newest location on Via Campo at Garfield in Montebello is convenient to the adjacent 60 Pomona Freeway, and is completely digitized. You can make your appointment online, provide your info, and when you arrive for your appointment you don't have to sign in the old fashion way with pen and paper, you use a touch screen with a code number provided when you made your appointment that you can scan or enter manually, or enter your name. A screen tells you who is being served and how long, how many minutes until you are called. Everything moves along quickly, there are numerous testing rooms, bathrooms, and lab techs. The waiting room is spacious, clean, modern, and pleasant. Much more sophisticated than any other lab I've been to and I've been to plenty. The future has arrived. No need for magazines, you are in and out in a breeze. You don't even have to wait to see your doctor to get your results, they'll be ready online in a few days. read more

I'll keep this short ... went in at 1:15 for my 1:15 appointment. No one at the front desk. People just checking themselves in on the electronic device.... I checked in, sat down. Waiting room jam packed - about 30 people, kids crying, etc. After 15 minutes of waiting without being called, I go up to the desk since I see a clerk there helping someone else. I ask her when I will get called if I have an appointment. She has someone else's medical card in her hands, asks me for my card and paperwork. So I give it to her. She gives back their card, and tells me to go in to room 3. (without my medical card) I thought - how long would I have been waiting had I not gone up and said something!?!?!? definately unorganized. I go in to room 3 and wait a few short minutes. The phlebotomist brought me my card and was kind and did her thing. I need a urine sample so I go to the restroom to do my business. AFter doing my business - I notice there's NO TOILET PAPER!!!! REALLY?????? Gross. Who's in charge of the restrooms!? Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

Had one of the worse experience with of the workers there. Went there to draw blood. And one of the nurses maybe intentionally kept pushing the needle in my vein deeper while blood is already being drawn. Afterwards blood was all over my arm. My arm was bruised very badly never had it happen before. She was very rude and giving me attitude for no reason.It was painful and i was scared because I had to draw blood 3 more times that day. They are the worst they still have the 433 4th St office on there locations. I went there and waited for 30mins then went and ask an other office that was open. They notified me they had relocated to this office. The building still has there information on the outside and on the door. Now I have to wait 1hour to be even called up to give them my information. And now I have to wait another 20mins to be called in. I should have been done by now. They need to update there locations and notifying the Doctors office too. When I left the 4th St office there was 6 others waiting to get there lab work. When I told the lady at the desk that they need to up date there information she was very very rude.
