Extremely unorganized. No one ever answers the phone on their 888 number. I arrived at 8 a.m. and was told there would be a 3.5-hour wait. You have to sign in using the computers on the right (not at the front desk ) or the staff will be rude about it instead of offering help. There aren't enough chairs for the number of people waiting, which makes it especially hard for elderly visitors. I ended up not waiting at all. The whole experience was so discouraging that I decided to leave without getting my bloodwork done. After finally getting through to someone on the phone, I was told there are no appointments available until next year. TLDR: make an appointment and verify during the check-in that you select whether or not you have an appoint. I had an appointment for 8am and arrived at 730. It was for blood work. I tried checking in via mobile but their systems were down. I signed in. I wrote my check in time and I wrote the time for my appointment as well as indicate what word needed to be done (blood). I knew they were behind, so i didnt say much except letting the rest of the patients know to check in manually. As 8:45 arrived, i asked why i got skipped if i had an appointment scheduled for 8. They told me I didnt indicate the bubble that said something about having an appointment. And why i didnt say anything sooner. I thought what i wrote down was enough, but they just highlighted my name and didnt even call me to verify anything. I visit the lab at Hillcrest South Tulsa and have been for over 5yrs. I am not sure when they acquiredthis lab but can say wait Wait times and the overall visit experience have become extremely frustrating. It used to be simple check in, exchange a few pleasantries, get your blood drawn, and be on your way. Now there's a kiosk, and more often than not, other patients (frequently seniors) can't figure out how to use it. So you end up helping them check in, then checking yourself in, and possibly helping even more people essentially doing a receptionist's job without being paid. The last time I visited, I waited over an hour and ultimately had to leave because I ran out of time. This has happened repeatedly since the location switched to LabCorp. The phlebotomists are being stretched thin, juggling check-ins, blood draws, and what appears to be payment processing all at once. It's an unreasonable workload for anyone. This is exactly why wait times have become so excessive. These companies are cutting costs by piling more responsibilities onto existing staff, and it's affecting both the employees and the patients. A phlebotomist is not a receptionist. Please hire dedicated front desk staff at this location to streamline the process the current situation is simply unacceptable. read more

This was the second labcorp I went to today. The first one on Cesar was PACKED. Having difficulty parking should have been an indicator. I didn't even make it in the door. This location, on Fremont, was equally busy but a much smaller site with lots of easy parking. I checked myself in using the kiosk. It asked me for my phone number to be notified when it was my turn. I left for about 20 minutes walking outside. When I returned they called me. i tried to wait outside but was told unless I'm inside i won't hear then call me. So i waited inside The tech who helped me made more conversation with Maria her coworker and the patient MARIA was helping. My tech was Blanca. They did not willing to help anyone, they acted like they just hated anyone bothering them. Labcorp used to have a location in San Gabriel (330 W Las Tunas Dr Ste 2), but they moved to this new location in 2023. The new lab is located right next to Kohl's in Alhambra and has a smaller waiting area than the Arcadia (622 W Duarte Rd #303) location. I initially visited Sun Clinical Laboratories and they did not accept my test order because (1) my test order was more than 6 months and (2) I recently switched to a new insurance during the 2024 open enrollment & Sun Clinical Laboratories is not a part of the Cigna network. I had to do a quick search and Cigna works with two of the largest national laboratories - Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) and Quest Diagnostics, Inc. (Quest). [Appointment]: Right after I was turned down by Sun Clinical Laboratories, I got extremely lucky and was able to make a same-day appointment at this location. I scheduled 10:30 AM appointments at 9 AM and came here at 10 AM (mobile check-in is available as early as 30 minutes before the appointment time). I ultimately waited 45 minutes until my name was called at 10:45 AM. If possible, please try to set up an appointment on the website 2 weeks ahead of time. Yes Labcorp accepts walk in, but visitors with no appointment can expect to wait for 2+ hours. I overheard a conversation and the staff said the best time to schedule is Friday, but even Friday can be a hit-and-miss. [Amenities]: No restroom in the waiting area and visitors will need to ask the staff to access restroom inside of the blood-drawing area. Check-in is pretty standard as visitors use the self check-in kiosk and the staff will call each visitor's name for additional follow-ups. While the blood drawing experience was efficient and completed in one attempt, my phlebotomist this time wasn't as skillful as previous Labcorp phlebotomists and I certainly felt a sharp pain (still manageable) during the blood draw. The location is conveniently located on Fremont with restaurants and Kohls with a large parking lot. You don't need an appointment and they take walk in patients. The kiosk lets you check yourself in and it scans your Id and insurance card so you barely need to fill anything out during check in. It offers more than 10 languages on the kiosk so it is extremely helpful for people that needed that language assist. Once you are checked in, your name is displayed on a monitor in the lobby for you to know how many ppl are ahead of you. They max out the number of chairs in the small waiting area for patients that may need to sit. They utilize text notifications system so if you don't want to wait inside, you can even walk to Kohls to shop. We were walk in patients cause online appointments were booked out for weeks. I took my elderly father for his urgent blood work. There were lots of people waiting but nice ppl yielded their seats for dad while we wait. We only waited 40 minutes and got called to take blood. Arlene took care of my dad efficiently and was great with her techniques. After she learned that dad only speaks Chinese, she told us she learned Chinese in college and spoke a couple words to dad and made him felt at ease. The people who work there are doing their best to deal with the overflow of clients, but they definitely seem to be overworked and understaffed. My Dr. Office sent me here to take some lab tests. I called them 2 times during business hours, to find out what preparations were needed, no one answered. I left a voicemail with all my information and questions since I needed multiple tests. No one called me back and it was 3 days later. Lab Corp is a small little facility that does different types of testing. The front desk workers are helpful even as stressful as it is. Patients are always flooding the office, most of them are older so it's more difficult to handle as they don't understand the process nor do they know what information is needed. They tend to take longer because of that, however the workers take their time to explain it to the best of their abilities. They all have a lot of patience and understanding, which I can appreciate! I've been here a couple of times to do a drug test and urine analysis for my nursing school. Recently I came with my boyfriend because he had to get his blood work and urine analysis done. The workers were nice, but you could tell they were having a tough time with all the patients they were receiving. Some of the patients were a little verbal, but the workers handled it well. I love that they had the new check-in system, which helps make everything go faster. I visited this office in early September 2022. The front desk staff was friendly, but the reason for the low rating is due to the very long wait time. I came here for drug screening (which was required to be completed within 5 days) and without an appointment since there were no appointments available within the next few weeks. There were already 5 people in line ahead of me at 9:50 AM before they even opened. I checked in right when they opened at 10 AM. They refused to provide an estimate of time in which we'd be seen -- they said that the check-in system will notify you via text messages when it's your turn. It was over 100 degrees outside, and they don't allow people to wait inside the building. My car AC broke, and I was getting symptoms of heat exhaustion. At 11:15 AM, I came inside to wait and to prevent a heatstroke. They told me to go back and wait outside until I explained what happened and they allowed me to stay. At 12:05 PM, I got verbally notified that it was my turn to pee in a cup. I went in the back and was out within 7 minutes. P.S. For drug screening, only come between 10 AM and noon. read more

I came to this LabCorp for my drug test/urine sample on a December Monday morning. The process was fairly seamless. I walked in with my paperwork and, after checking in, provided them my phone number. I was instructed to wait in my car and that I would be texted when my appointment was ready. The employee quoted me a wait time of ~1 hour. I was texted after ~30 minutes and then I waited in the lobby for another 10 - 15 minutes before I began the test. Of note is the sign outside that says drug tests require an appointment and I believe this is repeated on their phone hotline as well. This is a lie. The email instructions from LabCorp corporate stated this location is only "appointment recommended" and they accepted my walk in test. This is important to note because there were no available drug test slots for 2 weeks on their web portal. I interpreted this as meaning that I would not be able to drug test at this location and had a headache trying to get my background checker to change my drug test location. Appointments: The sign outside says "Appointment required" for a drug test, but there were 0 drug test appointment slots open for 2 weeks from late December to early January. (The appointment slots only go back 2 weeks.) Customer Service: This LabCorp location does not answer the phone despite being open. I was put on a brief less than 7 minute hold and then put to voicemail. Parking: There is a really large parking lot in the back. Conclusion: I really admire their text notification system after checkin to notify you when the lab technician is ready to see you. At the same time, I cannot overlook the long wait times, not answering the phone, and especially giving misinformation about their drug test process posted on the sign outside and elsewhere. I chose LabCorp for my drug test because it's a big company with a standardized experience that I trust but is it really worth it if the standardized experience is always mediocre?
