Don't come to this office! The employees are unprofessional, slow and encourage all walk ins to leave at 10:30am when they close at 12pm. They hide in the back, only seeing one person at a time despite having 4 employees. The sign says serving zero most of the time we waited. They took another walk in that came after us but refused to see a child walk in when it was still not closing time. I had a fecal sample that was done in test tubes they provided with patient information and bar codes pasted onto the tube. I went in on a Saturday to drop it off after it had been refrigerated for a day. There were no appointments left so I joined the wait list that took hours. Then they said there was no time available and they refused to take the sample without an appointment. I pressed it but she very rudely and belligerently refused to take the sample. I had to throw it away and now it's going to take days to get another kit to provide a sample and wait for results while my health is suffering. These people don't care 1% about the patient or their health. No empathy or compassion. read more

Thought the only crap we would have to deal with were the poop samples that we were dropping off - but it turns out we were wrong. The Quest Diagnostics on Paseo De Valencia couldn't be more uncaring and unprofessional to my family resulting in the worst customer experience imaginable. We were simply dropping off a poop sample and indicated that our son with level 3 autism was hysterical and needed to just drop off the samples and they made us wait for a significant amount of time before taking care of the samples. Just absolute tone deafness that could've easily been avoided if the staff had been properly trained to handle such situations. Will never be patronizing this Quest again. There are over Quest locations in the area that are far more professional and customer service oriented than this place. read more

Disappointed With Service at Quest Diagnostics - Laguna Paseo De Valencia I scheduled an appointment for 10:00 AM and arrived early at 8:30 AM, hoping to be seen ahead of time if possible. I checked in with staff, but even after waiting past my appointment time, I was never called in -- and then I noticed my name was no longer on the check-in list. When I asked another representative what was happening, he had no idea why my name disappeared and couldn't give me an explanation. I explained that I had been waiting and needed to use the bathroom for over an hour, and was just trying to get everything moving, but it seemed to upset the staff member. Then a person named Bahar came in -- without introducing herself, identifying her role, or even wearing a name badge or professional attire. She didn't apologize for why I was dropped from the appointment list. Instead, she told me I needed to apologize to a lab tech or she would refuse service, which felt narcissistic and unprofessional. After I apologized, she left without addressing the real issue or providing clarity. I finally asked the tech for her name and title, because I was very disappointed by how I was treated -- it felt like I was being scolded like a child for something that wasn't my fault. There was no valid reason I should have been told to apologize, and no explanation given why my appointment was mishandled. Overall experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would like management to be aware of this. read more

My phlebotomist, Jeanette, has a sixth sense for identifying and comforting patients who struggle with drawing blood. She quickly realized I was anxious and wasted no time to get the draw over with. She located and punctured a vein with supernatural speed and precision, and as she drew blood, she updated me on her progress and reminded me to breathe. After the draw, she began fanning me with a stack of paperwork and encouraged me to lay my head on the armrest. To help me recover (and urinate), she brought me three cups of water. Before I stood up, she asked if I felt dizzy, but by then I felt fine thanks to her care. Jeanette can draw my blood whenever she wants! read more

I got turned down by one of Phlebotomists, I wish I had asked for her name. I made an appointment one day prior to my appointment. I came in at 7:30 am because I got called into work at 9am and I'm supposed to have a kidney surgery by next week. My scheduled appointment was 10:30 and I asked what I should do and she said "well you shouldn't have made an appointment" I asked if I can check in as a walk in and she said "we take 6 patients every hour, if you want to take a seat" Thankfully I found a way to change my appointment on my app, another Quest 15 minutes away in laguna niguel. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter, the staff member who finally did made me feel like I was a nuisance for asking for help. She mentioned they were too busy with other patients and didn't have time to assist me. This location really needs a receptionist or greeter who can help people feel welcome and answer questions -- not make them feel like they're bothering the staff. After being left to figure things out on my own, I ended up leaving without being seen. I won't return to this location and would recommend others look elsewhere as well. read more

Walk-in blood test - inclusive of wait time and care - on a Friday afternoon took a little over 1 hour. Unless I have an appointment, I always expect the wait to be about this time whenever I go to any Quest location since it's never any faster tbh. Staff was mostly in the back but seemed courteous and there was enough seating in the waiting area for patients to have buffer seats between one another lol. The location is quite stunning since the office is located inside the Taj Mahal Medical Center and parking was plentiful (knocking a star for paid parking lot, $2 for first hour and an extra dollar for each additional hour). Like the others mentioned, just park at the bank next door and walk over! read more

I had never been to the Quest Diagnostic Lab on Protolla Pkway in Foothill Ranch before, so I arrived 25 minutes early. The appointment confirmation QR code I was emailed didn't work when I attempted to scan it on their kiosk. I tried the one they texted as well, which also failed. This wasn't my first rodeo, so I wasn't sure what was up. Apparently, Quest does not provide a receptionist to be available when such issues occur, so there wasn't anyone to ask why the QR code failed. I then used another option, which was to provide my phone # as well as scan the front and rear of my CDL and insurance card into their kiosk. However, instead of placing me in the queue according to my appointment time, it assigned me a number. I knew there was a problem when my name did not show up on the monitor but there wasn't anyone to ask, and I was one of 3 that seemed to have the same issue. Long story short, after waiting a few weeks for the lab work to be done, I was now placed into "walk-in" status, and they had no idea when I would be called. I waited over an hour. I showed them my printouts, and my text, proving that I had an appointment, but they did absolutely nothing and one of the staff members was rather rude about it blaming me for "not making an appointment" even after I showed her the confirmation THEY provided. Unprofessional, careless, incompetent and rude is how I felt about this lab. Wouldn't surprise me that they try to somehow charge my insurance as a no-show. read more

It doesn't matter if you make an appointment or are early, Or try to give the lab orders to them, whenever you talk to somebody at the appointment desk come on they always give a bewildered look. This was a very disappointing experience. I had scheduled an online appointment, but I ended up waiting for about an hour. It made me wonder what the purpose of booking online is if wait times aren't respected. The staff didn't seem attentive or concerned, even though there appeared to be enough employees available. Walked in to this location because there weren't any available appointments left. After checking into their digital kiosk, I was called in for my test about 5 minutes later. The technician who did my exam was professional and warm. She even let me bring in my husband and led him to a smaller and more private waiting room inside the facility. The inside was pretty much you'd expect at other Quest locations. Separate offices/cubicles and everything kept near and orderly. When it was time for my exam, my technician made sure to ease my nerves (I told her I hated needles) and engaged in small talk to keep my mind off my blood work. She took great care in making sure I was safe and comfortable during the brief time she was doing my exam. I've book-marked this Quest location as one that i'm comfortable returning to if I ever need a last minute appointment again. read more

This is some grade-A bull snot! Did I mention I was fasting!? Just saw the Dr. this morning at 10am and came straight here to get this handled. Love wasting this kind of time. This is the first time at this location, it was a little difficult to find the place when looking for the number with cars behind you, but is inside the building, I took photos for your reference and that way, you can find it easily. I was with plenty of time before my appointment because the same reason, they have a lot of parking around the building and on the street, quest is on the 3rd floor and the elevator has a sign also to guide you. I was surprised not many people waiting to get in. The check in was fast. My appointment will be a 20 min waiting because of my appointment, but since not a lot people they called me sooner, very huge place, clean and neat, the technician Jeanette was so gentle and asked me what arm to use for the blood test, I gave her my preference and she did it, only one time she tried to get blood and voila, she is the best, I highly recommend this place, I love the experience. read more

Unprofessional and horrible customer service. Had an appointment at 11:00AM, checked in at 10:55AM and system said that I was 10 minutes late. Receptionist said there is nothing she can do and put me on standby. It's been 2 hours and I still haven't been checked in or helped. read more

I never really have issues at this location as long as I book the appointment online ahead of time. I found the morning is the best time. Even late morning can have a wait even if you have an appointment. The wait even with appointment has not exceeded 20 minutes past my appointment time though. You can check-in on your phone when you arrive. It's not the most welcoming of offices, but the staff is nice and I'm always out pretty quickly. There are rows of chairs in the waiting room and 2-3 check-in tablets. There is no receptionist now, so good luck if you have questions. I usually have straight forward appointments with my insurance and doctor orders on hand. Just be prepared and you'll be fine! I have tiny veins so I let them know which arm has the best luck and that I need a butterfly needle. It really helps to speed things up when you know your needs. This office is so much better than other quest offices I've been to. read more

They failed to do all the blood tests that were called in when I came in, in December. By the time I found out it was just into next year. I now have to pay out of pocket as my deductible is new again. Called and was promised a call back, never call back. After wasting a ridiculous amount of time am finally told they know they screwed up, but that they won't do anything. They Won't even discount the blood work they admit they inadvertently skipped- which was the majority of the tests - end of story. So not only do I have to make another appointment, get a needle again, I get to pay out of pocket for something that's their fault. Never go there again.... But looking at their rating I doubt they care about another negative rating. I'm so angry they treat customers this way and couldn't seem to care less. read more

Returned with samples complete to discover there was one not done correctly & my Drs office had now added another request in the computer. Patience & self control a 10!! They don't call you if you're on standby. They don't even want to call people who have appointments. I will never come back here. They're rude. People have been here waiting for an hour already. I used to like this location, so close to my house and open on Saturdays - but they're LATE all the time now. Don't allow bookings beyond your damn capacity. Sitting around for 30 mins when you have an appointment is not good. Getting on a waitlist and then telling us one hour later than all wait lists can't be seen - not good. That means you're damn understaffed and you should book so many people. We all have jobs and obligations too. Get it together. Then I show up and try to log in to the iPad. It doesn't show up. There are 2 lab technicians and they won't even talk to me. They just call their next appointment and ignore me. I'm in the healthcare field and I would NEVER ever treat people the way the treated me. Ridiculous. read more

Definitely NOT easy to find. Signage is minimal. Checkin is by machine, which also has minimal options. My tech was friendly enough and efficient. i didn't have to wait long at all. When the service has better signage and a little more of a personal touch, the stars will be updated. read more

Absolutely the WORST Quest I've ever been to. The staff here are RUDE, unprofessional, and in no way make it a comfortable experience to take a blood test or urine test. They don't trust you, they think everyone my age is trying to trick the system and use clean urine in their pocket. Little Asian lady couldn't even speak English and acted afraid of me. Oh, and there's no easy way to make an appointment. But if you have one, you get to jump the line! And make everyone wait LONG TIME. All I have to do is pee in a cup and they won't let me just go do that real quickly. I'm contacting corporate to let them know that ALL staff at this location are RUDE and HATE their jobs. Location is Laguna Hills, Taj Mahal. My doctor ordered quest to set me up for at home stool sample and urine sample. Quest gave me a large brown bag with some different vials and a white thing to put on the toilet for samples. Absolutely NO instructions. I went back to Quest and they then gave me directions. The next day I returned to Quest with my samples. They said no walk-ins on Saturday. Well, timing is everything with samples. I got the attention of someone walking around in the back and she said I needed to make an appt. At that point, I was really angry. There was no reason she couldn't just take my samples, which were marked with my name. I was a bit loud and she said to keep my voice down. Finally she accepted my samples. Closed 10 minutes early and ignored us knocking on door. We only needed a collection cup pickup that would take 5 seconds.

My last experience was 5 stars. I was in and out in 10min and the older woman had no issues drawing blood from my 12 month old daughter. Today I went and some Asian guy was taking my daughter blood and kept poking the needle in and out and moving it around in her arm. I was so furious after watching him struggle for a few minutes that I told him to stop and get someone who knows what they were doing, my daughter was screaming in pain. Finally the same woman from last time came in and had no issues. She should have done it from the beginning! If the person has no experience with babies, they have no business drawing their blood. The whole experience was so traumatic. I just hope my daughters arm is okay! read more

Long wait time. No one is in the front to help. They have a finicky check in system on an iPad. You have to flag down one of the employees to help, who are clueless about the system, especially the standby system. I went to this location recently and they missed to test my Iron Panel , which was one of the main reason of my bloodwork, although I had it the actual printed order I presented to the lady to make sure she has everything in the system! When the result came and the Iron panel was missing, I called the customer service and they didn't even apologize! Just told me if I need the result I should repeat the test! I have Anemia already and hate to repeat the test just because of the Quest Staffs' irresponsibility! read more

This place is a joke. I was selected for a random FMCSA Drug screen. All the paperwork says walk in. I went yesterday and was told more walk-in, must make appointment and before 1:30. Went online and it showed all kinds of appointments after 1:30. I scheduled appointment and came in early. Really have to go to bathroom bad. They don't care and so rude too. They were rude yesterday too and have attitudes. FMCSA drug tests used to be quick process cause they know we are truck drivers and need to get back to driving. Now they just don't care. read more
