They could have told me that I was just having a panic attack, but instead they sent me to the ER to receive a $6000 bill, just because "it is near the end of our shift". It was my first time having a panic attack. They did an EKG and the heart looked fine. Why sent me away without any explanation or reassurance?! They watched me walking out, still in panic and half naked, while sitting down calmly and nonchalantly asking "do you want a blanket?" They clearly knew I was not dying of a heart attack. Why sent me to the ER to receive a $6000 bill? This visit was totally useless. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Hoag Urgent Care Foothill Ranch. I was referred there after an X-ray, clearly in pain and struggling to walk. Despite being aware of my situation, the staff refused to provide even basic care (such as wrapping my injured toe) simply because I was initially seen at another location. As a patient, continuity of care should not depend on which urgent care I first visited. I left without proper treatment, which is unacceptable. I hope management reviews this process and ensures patients receive appropriate care regardless of administrative issues. read more

The best urgent care facility that I have ever been to. This location in particular, is in Foothill Ranch and is connected directly to the Hoag Medical Center offices. We live in an area that is thankfully surrounded by urgent care centers, but Hoag's by far was the best experience at an UCC for me. I had made an appointment for one of the kids but their provider wasn't available until two weeks into March. Being that both my kid and I were in pain, I checked the wait time for the UCC. I was able to make an appointment for us the same day. Walk-ins are welcome. Check-in for me was very quick since I have seen Hoag providers and am already in the system. Check-in for my child, took me about 7-10 minutes to complete on a device. We were called in as soon as I was done with the electronic paperwork. The space was clean and furniture/equipment new. The UC Doctor was very friendly, took the time to really listen to our issues, examine us and provided education and insight. She was patient and never made us feel rushed throughout our appointment. She spoke to us in a way that showed she was engaged in our care. I have had doctors before that did not make me feel valued or listened to. These Hoag providers have been a nice change from the last couple decades of care I have received elsewhere. Definitely check out Foothill Ranch's Hoag UCC the next time you need to see a Doctor urgently. Our time at the UCC was a good one and we will continue to utilize them for our family. read more

Second time trying this place. Second time the doctors just made a guess and sent us on our way. No tests, no meds, nothing. This time my wife had major headaches, sinus pressure, coughs, 99.9 temp, body aches, dizziness, vertigo, each aches, and you know what the doctor focused on? The vertigo. He told us to watch a YouTube video, drink a pedialite, and rest. If nothing go to the ER. Then two days later she is doing so much worse. So we go to Clineva urgent care. Tell them the symptoms. Guy goes I'm going to test you for Covid. Doctor comes in... says do you feel this this and that? Yes she does. Okay yeah. You tested positive for the flu. Just wow. She needs to take two days worth of meds to not be contagious and start feeling better. Glad we paid 40 dollars at Hoag for the doctor to tell us to drink pedialite. Such trash. Last time we went in before, my wife's ankle was so swollen from falling. Couldn't walk. Doctor came in and said ahh probably a sprain. Didn't wrap it, check if it was broken (they have access to an X-ray there). Just said go home and stay off it. Save your money. Go to a different facility. read more

We love HOAG, but this Urgent Care is ALWAYS running WAY behind schedule. We have come here occasionally and have always made an appointment online (which is very easy to do), but always end up having to wait over 45-minutes to an hour to be checked in, on average. And that is just for the weight check-in. You often get sent back out being told that you're in line waiting for an exam room to be free. Once you're in the exam room, the nurse comes in promptly to take your vitals then you sit and wait...and wait to be seen by a Physician or PA. This last time we must've waited an hour and 45 minutes even with the appointment. Then we were sent off to the ER at Mission Hospital. If we knew that would have happened in the first place, we would have gone straight to Mission so there wouldn't have been two co-pays involved. To make a long story short though, the PA at Mission questioned why we were even referred there since it ended up being something simple where HOAG could have diagnosed the pneumonia with the x-rays that they did. (HOAG has x-rays available.) The HOAG PA even said that she would forward our information over right away, so they would be expecting us, and the check-in nurse at Mission couldn't even find the requisition from HOAG. All in all that made for a whole day wasted sitting around in the two waiting rooms and exam rooms. Not the best experience for a way for our family to spend the day. read more

Don't bother making an appointment as it makes no difference whether you make one or are a walk-in. I've been to this urgent care 4 or 5 times in the past few years. Always for minor things that I wouldn't consider an emergency. Every time I've just walked in and it usually is a 10 to 30 minute wait. On my most recent visit for a nagging phlegmy cough I had for nearly a month, I tried to be more efficient and made an appointment. It was an hour after my appointment time before I was seen as several walk-ins arrived right before I walked through the door and they were given preference. The front desk staff and nurses are always very nice. The doctors who see you vary and your care will depend on who is there on that particular day. Most are very cordial, listen to what you have to say, give helpful advice/care and a prescription (if needed). One time I had a doctor who was quite unpleasant and abrasive, didn't listen to me, and gave advice unrelated to why I was there. So your care will be like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get. read more

I made an urgent care reservation a few hours before the appointment. Got a link for pre-checkin. Uploaded all my insurance, contact information online, so I don't have to arrive early to be with other patients waiting. Checked in at my reservation time and was called in within 5 minutes. Waited for about 5 - 10 minutes for the doctor. Next my prescription was called into my pharmacy. Waited and got my meds within 30 minutes after. All in all my experience was great. The staff were nice and professional. I would go to the Hoag Urgent Care again if I have a need again! read more

This is such a nice location. Very clean, very well organized, well lit, love the modern look, and very spacious inside. Lots of nice pleasant waiting areas. Must of the departments have a self served check in system in place. Very convenient and fast. Lots of parking. This is the Hoag Medical Health Center, which is connected to the Hoag Urgent Care this is located right next to it. We have been here a few times for regular check ups, excellent service each time.
