I usually go to Irvine or other locations of Quest but came here because they had available appointment times that were sooner than the others. Before I go on, let me stress the importance of making an appointment online if you want to get in and out quickly. This was my first time here. I arrived a couple minutes before my appointment time and signed in on the iPad. It's a very small office with only 8 seats or so. No one was there except me. I was immediately taken in for my blood draw. The phlebotomist had a great sense of humor, was friendly, polite and did his job well; I didn't even feel the needle. I was out of there 5 minutes after arrival. Not sure if this is how it is all the time but it was the best experience I've ever had at a Quest location. This location is not busy but omg there is only one staff working doing "everything!" I had to get blood work for work and after sitting for 15min, I heard the worker tell the clients waiting that it's gonna take awhile like 45min! And then there was this special needs adult sitting outside waiting. His caregiver asked how long it will take? He told her the truth that he is the only one working today and to actually go to the one in Laguna Hills. The caregiver was like... Well. It's just so hard transporting her and getting in the car but it's so hot outside. I felt so bad. I gave up my seat inside so they can wait inside and left. Labs should not just have one person walking the place especially for a big chain like this one. This lab is short staff. Go else where! Even when I tried to make an appt with them. Great experience here. I forget the phlebotomist's name but she was an equestrian who was looking to move to a larger plot of land for her horses. Also talked about her children and grandkids. I wish I could give two separate ratings, one for the office and one for the phlebotomist. I came in last Friday for an appt and I know I was a bit late when I checked in, I was converted to a walk-in patient and the wait time was 20 min. Now, I know from experience that it meant I'd be there over an hour and after another customer said she had been there a couple of hours and was dropped from the system, I left. This morning, I checked the website and saw the wait was 9 minutes, so I went for it. Unfortunately, their system is horrible at calculating wait times. I was there about 45 minutes, I think. I went thinking I'd have time before work to get some coffee and instead I was almost running late. The main reason for the four stars (and I would actually give him five stars) is Tony. I know I'm difficult. Today I was particularly difficult. My lab orders were very difficult to read and enter. He had to call the dr office, which didn't pick up the phone. He was amazing through it all. Then, to top it off, he got my draw done on the first try. Due to 120+ lb weight loss, my veins collapse easily. My last draw (same lab) left me with bandages on both arms, one wrist, and one hand. Tony was fabulous and kept an amazing attitude the whole time. I would go back just for him! read more

Worthless Quest location where they entered my blood pressure wrong in the computer and when you call them you keep getting a recording and nobody answers the phone. And if you are stuck in traffic and arrive more than 10 minutes late they won't even service you even if you had an appointment. read more

This is the first review I have ever written but after 3 days I am still dealing with a ruptured vein caused by having blood taken at Quest in Mission Viejo. My arm was swollen for days and the bruising keeps getting bigger. This has never happened before, I have healthy, veins that are very visible when compressed, this should not have happened. I typically got to another Quest, but this one had an 8:15am appointment a week earlier than the others. Parking was easy. The lobby is small and has 7-8 seats. I received a QR code after signing up on-line and used it to check in. It was super fast - about 2 seconds. Love that! Although the staff at this facility was excellent I was concerned about the cleanliness of the facility. The biggest problem I noticed was that the air conditioning return and supply vents in the t-bar ceiling were filthy. I am a retired building inspector and these vents were as bad as any I have seen. Bear in mind that all of the air you breath in this facility passes through these vents. Considering Covid these vents and the filters prior to them should be cleaned on a regular basis to protect the patients and more importantly the staff who spend their days working there. I tried to contact Quest online but their webpage was a waste of time. read more

Needed to get blood drawn here. Nothing major, should have been very quick. No one was at the desk, so I just guessed that I should sign in on the iPad. The iPad registration told me I would have a 12 minute wait. I waited 45 minutes before I was called. I'm happy to wait, but if I need to wait 45 minutes, tell me that so I can go get other things done with my day. read more

I am almost afraid to rave too much about how great this place is. The phlebotomist was so kind, even with my rolling veins, and kept making sure I was ok. I checked in fast with the code they sent confirming my appointment. Said the wait would be 10 minutes - it was only about 30 seconds!! In and out fast, very professional. read more

Technician could barely speak English. Couldn't appropriately read the order fulfillment for a 24 hour urine specimen. Insisted I go to the bathroom and pee in two small bottles vs the big 24 hour urine bottle. I came back to return the specimen got nothing but pushback saying they were closed for lunch (door was open) and to come back in 1.5 hours. Nothing posted saying they close down entirely even though they have two technicians in the office. This standard? I feel I was getting a runaround. Also said it was against Labor Laws Wouldn't allow me to just drop off the specimen with the paperwork. When I came back later to drop off I stood there watching them enter it in the system. Which brings me to gripe three. I got a call from the doctors office who requested the specimen and they said Quest didn't perform all the tests requested. So now I have to repeat the procedure all over again. I hope someone from Quest corporate sees this. I wonder how you monitor these unprofessional flunkies "performance" in your various locations? I let my doctor know what happened. They were really upset with the poor execution by Quest and all the trouble it caused them and me. My doctor suggested Labcorp. Don't waste your time with the unprofessional Quest people who can't follow directions and who are more interested in getting their 1.5 hour lunch. read more

It's 8:05am and they are no where to be found. 7 people waiting outside. Ridiculous! They do this every morning. A lot of people need jobs. I'm sure these people can be easily replaced. Unreal. UPDATE: 8:10am- An employee walks by 8 people waiting, unlocks the door, and goes in without saying a word to anyone! Courtesy would be to say something like, "Good morning, I apologize for making you all wait" No eye contact...just attitude. Her name is Tara. I called her out in that and she fired back with "Excuse me, you don't know my situation!" Ok. That's one way to handle it. I came in as a walk-in. The website says they take walk-ins, so I showed up before they opened at 8 M and waited. 4 or 5 others did the same. We were all walk-ins. Then we were told that we had to go to the little kiosk computer device and make an appointment. They said they weren't taking walk-ins because they had appointments coming and we had to take the first available appointment on the device. The first appointment available on the device was 3:20 pm. My blood test was a fasting one so I could not wait that long. Either they take walk-ins or not. We were willing to wait to let others with appointments go first, but they did not give us that option. We had to make an appointment or not get the test. I opted to NOT get the test. I will NEVER trust Quest diagnostics again. If they say they take walk-ins they should take them. They should be prepared for both appointments and walk-iins. There were two staff there and 4 or 5 people willing to wait. I will never go back to Quest. Don't trust what is on the website or what they tell you on the phone. read more

I have made the test Last year. The girl who has touch the second new phlebotomist has mad many mistakes dawning my blood. 1.She has hold the tourniquet more longer in my arm. She has to take off right away when blood start to fil the first tube. 2.She has not inverted any tubes. She must do it at the same time. 3.She has not filled the tube right. Every tube ,especially purple and green top tubes, has to have a right amount of blood. The purple- full, the green-9:1. This is the first step of diagnostic creates many problems, if the blood draws incorrect or with mistakes. read more

I am torn with the review. This location is small, which can work to your advantage to get in and out quickly. However, making an appointment here, does absolutely no good. There is one list for people so you're on the same weight as somebody who did not plan ahead. That gives it a one star The staff is very friendly and compassionate. What a pity. This is a small efficient lab but lacks front desk staffing and NO bathroom for urine testing. If your doc orders urine testing you need to leave the Quest lab and walk down the hall toting your urine cup in hand to use the unsanitary general building bathroom down the hall. Hardly hygienic nor private. The best asset this location has is phlebotomist Alan. Alan is skilled and thankfully has a good sense of humor to override the lack of proper office staffing and facility support. read more

My wife and I came here to have her blood work done. The girl at the from disk was very rude. The way she greeted us and the way she asked us to close the door was completely inappropriate, we are customers and do not deserve to be talked to in this manner. It did not give us the welcome feeling we expected. Any way, after we gave her our insurance card and the paper work we had to wait for over 15 minutes. We were the only people there. No one communicated with us how long it would be or anything. We just sat there. All the time the receptionist was talking on the phone. When I asked her how long time we needed to wait. She said I am working on something important. I told her I think of ourself as important as well. And I asked to get my insurance card and the paper work back.
