Can a place get more unorganized than this? Circus has more organization! Waiting 2 1/2 hours in the morning for a basic lab work? Lobby full of patients, at 9 AM and 2 of the 3 people decided to take a break, living this mess of a place unattended? This place needs to close down! I hate reading reviews about healthcare workers that are along the lines of "oh I was bruised when I was poked getting my blood work done" (I mean this is kind of a no brainer? You're getting your blood drawn!) or "I had to wait in the waiting room for xyz time" (Yes that's the real world even when you have an appointment, especially a walk in, no one's fault, just need to learn to wait!) Let's be real, they are wiping down the stations, cleaning up between patients, sending paperwork's to the providers, there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes! This location was fast, quality of care was great. Kathy was AMAZING! Such a sweetheart. She poked me, and I didn't even feel it! Even the other ladies in there were sooooo nice! This is my second terrible experience. The first time, I had a client in the area, so I took the time to get tested. The nurse mentioned that I needed thin skin, and she used the blade three times. My hand became numb. Today, the nurse attempted to use the blade again, but he was coughing the entire time and ultimately told me he couldn't proceed with the collection. This has been time-consuming, and I'm feeling nauseous. My husband thinks I should consider pursuing legal action because I believe I have a valid case. read more

The office is clean and right at the entrance of the medical building. If you have an appointment, it is easy to check in and be seen in just a few minutes. Just be sure to make an appointment and show up on time. I don't have her name handy, but a phlebotomist I have seen a few times is efficient and friendly. I was a walk in and got there at 8:15. The room had only 3 people waiting. I was not seen until 10am. This is literally the worst lab to go to. I came in as a walk in after I clicked Aliso appt. And when it gave me times the website switched to a different location unbeknown to me. Two people in the lobby had the same issue I did. Waited over an hour just to drop off a sample. This should be a simpler process for drop offs. The tech that took care of us earlier for the blood test was great but the whole process of check in was not efficient. Will consider different options in the future for bloodwork. read more

Showed up for my appt last week and there was a sign on the door that they were closed. I made this appt two months ago. I even got a reminder email a few days before from Quest. I took the morning off for this appt and received no notice that they were closed. I contacted their customer service number and their system showed that this location should have been open and they had no idea why they would be closed. I was told that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Well, that never happened. So I rescheduled my appt for this week. So I show up again and they are closed AGAIN!!! Why do they keep scheduling appts on days they won't be open?! And they don't ever bother to reach out to their patients to notify them. Who treats patients like this?! Let me start by there "Unstaffed " for a Friday you would think having enough personal would be a priority these places are never without patient screenings as far as stand by they never grab in between time slots they just jump to next appointments as far as sympathy they have none they are quick to defend verbally there situation to be justified and revert to "you should had made an appointment " basically they want to encourage appointments only and don't have common courtesy to grab at least one every time in between an appointment but instead they jump to the next time slot because there already behind in other words there will a KwYs be someone next because there under staffed and you will be stuck there until the last scheduled appointment at closing rather then to make it a point to advice those who are on standby as they check in and advise them they won't be seen until closing they just continue to take on standby and say it could be about an hour but the truth is it runs into three hours at times only because they neglect to accommodate at least one in between time slots that would had been available had they not been under staffed they had three nurses to draw blood I defended a woman who had only to drop off a sample and they made her wait along with all the stand byes over 2 hours .. it's been so far and still waiting to be seen ... read more

Surprised by the 3 1/2 star rating here . . . We had a great experience! The woman at the front desk was a bit abrupt but she seemed very busy. She did her job and was patient and helpful to an older gentleman behind us who needed extra time and help with the technology while checking in for his appointment. The office is small and there was a line after we arrived but people seemed to be processed quickly. Gloves were provided if you desired them to check in with the tablet. We had an appointment, which we made that day (!) and were in and out quickly. Arnel, our technician, was awesome! He had a great attitude and made the whole experience very pleasant. I've been to Labcorp in Laguna Hills and had no issues, but it is much bigger and more crowded. Quest seems to be more my speed with a smaller space, less people and friendly, efficient staff. Terrible experience today with a Phlebotomist named Shiva. The appointment system was easy. I waited about 5 minutes at the lobby. I've been at this location a few times now and I've sat with a different tech each time. I'm 41 years old and I get my blood drawn 3-4 times a year from either a Quest location or at a Hoag clinic. I've been told a few times that my veins are small and with a larger needle it tends to roll, and I'll end up getting poked twice. So I've learned to share this information during each appointment, the techs usually appreciate the information and I would have a successful lab experience. I shared this information with Shiva and she was very dismissive. She said that's not always true and that it might require I get poked twice. I told her that I am only sharing information that I've heard from the past. She was defensive and asked if I drank some water because that definitely always helps but that she will still use the smaller needles. She was extremely rough when she placed the needle, and she was pulling on the tube a lot which felt like she was shaking the tubes. When she released the rubber belt it slapped my arm and all she said was "opps". My arm is bruised from the needle which doesn't usually happen to me. I am giving this place 3 stars because my past experiences were great, the appointment system worked well for me and I've never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. I would just recommend to avoid Shiva if at all possible. read more

If you want to extend your 18+ hour fasting before the blood test by additional 3 hours due to the laid back meaning really really lazy staff procrastinating, chatting and laughing during work hours, while the patients who scheduled their appointments in advance have to wait for 30+ minutes, this is definitely the location for you. Took a break at work between meetings and came on time (for my appointment), self checked-in (don't expect anyone greeting you - they're all busy browsing social networks on their cell phone), and was delayed 30 minutes, I needed to eat something after the test. Instead barely made it to my next meeting at work and had to endure hunger for another 3 hours. When I asked for the supervisor (none on duty obviously), and then my nurse name, I was threatened with service refusal, and back-talked in a rude way using offensive lingo. Eventually she told me her name: Jennifer, saying she was the highest-ranking at the moment in the absence of the facility supervisor. Thus that "Jennifer" is indeed responsible for managing the staff and ensuring the quality fo service. Not surprised seeing the low rating here on Yelp. It's worth doing a little research and finding a further, but more professional location, or better yet, a different company. read more

I wouldn't give this place a one star. Terrible incompetent people who can't read lab orders from their own system. I had to get my child to do a stool test three times. They messed up everyone of the tests and still haven't got it right! They have no front desk person to help. No one wants to help you even if you ask them to. They say they are too busy! This location takes forever for walk in and appointments. They really should shut down if they can't support more people or have coverage. They literally let another walk-in go ahead of us because they were upset vs helping the clients that got there first and waited quietly and patiently. I will say when we called the manager he fixed the issue quickly and was kind..but I've been here several times and it needs help. read more

Not sure why there are so many poor reviews. I came in at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and there was no one in the waiting room. I checked myself in on the iPad and within 3 minutes, my name was called. I gave Star my insurance card and paperwork and was in the chair within a minute. I'm all for efficiency and quality, and I feel that both occurred here. Star had a great personality and made this ball of nerves as relaxed as possible, granted the circumstances. She was upbeat and very friendly! This place. Get real. There is a room for of patients and there are staff behind the door but no one is helping the patients. Seems there is a new system that people so called checked in for the appt but don't show but instead of seeing a patients they are all in the back giggling and carrying on and adamant that the slot is filled and not their fault no one showed. Also one lady is using the same gloves patient to patient and coming out to talk to people in the gloves explaining she can't help anyone even though there is clearly no one here. April 29th, 2022 - I made an appointment for an early blood draw for important testing. Usually when I come through to Quest with an appointment, I am in and out in 15 minutes. It took the woman who drew my blood over an hour. OVER AN HOUR to get 4 tubes of blood drawn. I am a patient woman and so I thought it is what it is; but geezus! The issue continues however, when I get my results there is absolutely no details. Everything has zeros. Which is completely absurd and not even possible for my condition. I try calling and am not able to get through to anyone at this center to complain and ask for a redraw. I get a bill in the mail; I try calling and get hung up on. I try emailing with no response. Now, they want to send me to collections when I didn't even get proper bloodwork completed. As far as I am concerned the phlebotomist/this location as a whole mismanaged my bloodwork. I shouldn't have to pay $200 for them wasting my time. read more

My husband's company offers incentives for being healthy so every year quest draws blood and checks vitals & metrics to reward the healthy ones. I missed the in-house day so I called quest at 1-866-908-9440 to schedule and appointment but they didn't have any for weeks so i decided I'd walk in. The helpful person on the phone offered several locations in my area and I chose this one due to it being new and likely not too busy. Once chosen, the phone agent sent my info to the AV location and said it would be accessible there for 30 days. Awesome! I arrived to the Aliso Viejo shopping district and was met with a really easy parking situation. The huge FREE parking structure to the right of the movie theaters feeds right into the HOAG main entrance. I can't believe I did this but I actually went to the directory and didn't see them so I asked at the desk of HOAG diagnostics and they showed me the QUEST OFFICE WAS DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT of the directory sign I had just stared at for 5 mins. how embarrassing, right? Well it was early and I still had sleep on the brain. Anyway the quest office is the first door to the right when you enter the double sliding doors. Once inside the waiting room is large and smells of new, clean office. I didn't have a apt but saw they opened st 7:30 so I made my mind up I'd be there when they opened and wait it out. Me being me, I arrived into the office (after my silliness at not seeing it) at 7:45 and I was 8th in line. Booooo But that's okay, cuz everyone told me it goes quickly. I'm writing this review at 8:15 and I am the last and only person in the waiting room. There are two techs working and the patients all seem to get finished in about 10 mins. I got called in about 8:20 and was out by 8:30! The funny thing is when I left there was only one person in the waiting room so maybe arriving when they open is not exactly the best idea because everyone does that. Maybe it's better to arrive at about 8:30 when the early-morning walk-ins are finished because then the wait is probably only about 10 minutes. Just a thought. My phlebotomist was super nice and chatty and I had a great appointment however brief. The one thing that is not so fun is there are no snacks for when you are done with your blood draw. When the quest technicians come to my husbands office there are snacks everywhere. All in all a great experience with no complaints. read more

Out of all the locations I have been to, this is Rockbottom. Extremely slow, getting an hour behind even if you have an appointment! A woman was also allowed by the staff to sit in the waiting room the entire time coughing, with her nose out of her mask! And she was also pulling it down to her neck. NOTE! -- both myself and my wife have tried this location before. Over years time, no forward progress or improvements have been observed.
