Queens Pizza is pretty darn good. I r been there a few times. Order and pay at the counter. The staff are always friendly. I usually order a slice of pepperoni and they always take a slice of plain, place the pepperoni slices on it, then place it in the oven. A few minutes later, it comes out and piping hot. They have all the spices (red pepper, oregano, salt, pepper, etc.) and cheese on a side table. They have a large selection of drinks (bottled and fountain). Great place to get decent food in an area with not too many options for an affordable lunch. It may not be mind blowingly good pizza but it is probably the best pizza place in a 1 mile radius for the price. Service is excellent and friendly. Plenty of seats inside even during peak lunch rush. Haven't been here lately due to remote work but it is still as good as what I remembered. Very delicious. I love thing crust and I've only had the cheese so I can imagine the others are really good too. I had a cheese slice and it's very fresh and cheesy. They have the assortment of condiments and seasonings you can put on the slice in a common area in the restaurant. They also offer soups and salads. I remember coming here many moons ago remembering nothing spectacular about this place. I honestly didn't know so many people from my office actually come here to sit and have a slice or two because I'm not that impressed. While they have renovated a lot of the restaurant the food remains a bit on the bland side. Although I appreciate their slices not to be too thin or too thick, the flavor simply came up lacking. $7.10 for my vegetable roll and a snapple. The place was packed when I arrived. Old style pizza parlor, prob not as common these days, looks like there hasn't been any renovations in a long time. I'm not bothered by that, it was a clean facility and that's all that matters. They keep it simple, walk up to the counter, place your order and watch as they craft a pie. It was alright. Not a fan of the flavor I'm particular about my pizza and I think it's a pizza people will be 50/50 on. Guy taking my order was polite, made quick work of it. They have been in Newark seems like forever - definitely 30 plus years. The pizza is good, a bit of variety too, and the square pie is great. The pizza is on point here. I usually judge a place by their plain slice and their plain is thin, crispy, and with just the right ratio of sauce to cheese. It's cheesy without being too dry. I've also had their buffalo chicken and spinach slices but my go to is the plain slice. They make sandwiches, pasta, and salads. They'e a great go to pizza spot when you work in the area. 43 of us college kids got complimentary Queens pizza from one of the administrators of Newarks downtown district block-by-block city restoration program. The cheese pizza is just so delicious and beats out much of the pizzas I've had around Michigan apart from Detroit-style pizzerias like Buddy's. I think its representative of the area being so close to New York City and all but a really quality pizza that's been around since 1910, I believe. Uses local ingredients that supports Newark and that's something to be proud about as well. Great pizza overall and would definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

The name of the place is Queen Pizza II. With all of the eateries in the area, this place stands out as having excellent pizza. Our office has placed large orders with them over the years 6-20 pies at any given time and all of them were delicious. The buffalo chicken pizza was amazing and the sausage pizza in my personal favorite. The spinach or broccoli pies are always enjoyed here. Anyone whining about this pizza obviously hit a glitch and should have said something because they would put it right. For really BAD pizza -- go to Metro Cafe, they make frozen, microwave pizza look good. Our office has over 200 employees and if put to a vote, Queen Pizza II would win as the best pizza in the area -- HANDS DOWN! The only reason I didn't give this place 5-stars, I reserve top marks for "dining" where the restaurant has a chef and should have an attentive waitstaff, there are people that would give 5-stars to McD's, I'm not one of them.
