I had a mani/pedi here on 12/30/16 and I will not go back or recommend them to anyone. I'm about to report them to the state for cleanliness also. I selected this salon based on their great reviews and I am questioning whether or not these reviews are rigged. Safety first: This salon is not clean. My nail technician used a pair of cuticle cutters that had someone else's cut cuticles on it. YUCK. I freaked out and asked him to pour alcohol on it first. I thought these guys were supposed to sterilize the tools and put them in a heated oven. On top of this, my gel nail color is not the same color as my toes. I picked out a package of color that had the gel polish and matching regular polish in it for your toes. The gel polish was so watered down that my nails are orange and my toes are red. ...and the colors on the bottle were the same - so def an issue here. I thought about going back to have them correct it, but hardly any of them speak English, so I got so upset that I paid and left. My pedi was ok. My left toe hurts where they cut it too much. I made an appointment with Vikki on Wednesday for Friday @11a.m. I got there at about ten to 11 and was greeted almost immediately, said I was there for an 11 with Vikki. I was seated at her station at about ten after 11 and waited another 5 minutes for someone else to trim my nails and do my fill while I continued to wait for Vikki. Finally Vikki makes an appearance and shapes and polishes my nails. Come to find out she didn't do my nails because she was getting her own pedi! Nice!!! I called to verify price of an acrylic fill and a polish change on my toes. Was told $25 for the fill and $10 for the toes. Finish both services and was told it was $65. All of a sudden a fill was $45 and POLISH CHANGE was $20???? I was nice and still tipped. Will never go back now. read more

I've been going here for years now and always go to Vicki who does an amazing job! She is very fast but gets them right every single time. She knows how to shape them perfectly and can do all the current trends. I went today because I needed them done urgently however, she was off work. I was a little scared to let someone else do them but she's always told me that everyone there can do them just like her. I'm not lying when I say, I never really believed her. Well, she proved me wrong because I was sat with Tony who did an incredible job! He even glued my pinky nail a little crooked at first and I wasn't going to say anything but when he noticed, he took it off and fixed it. I was very impressed! They have seriously gone down hill since moving to the new location. I think they were just trying to get as many people in and out at this point, with a major loss in the quality that they use to have. I went to Queens exclusively for the last 10 years. After the move to the new location, I gave them another year, thinking every time I went in that it would get better, and hopefully eventually go back to the way it was when they were smaller. But it never did. Vickie is still the one to go to for acrylic nails, but other than that, they aren't much more than a fancy building. read more

I had really high expectations for this salon based on word of mouth and all the great reviews. I went in with 3 week old grown out dip powder on top of very short tips and asked to have the tips removed and color changed. My tech was very nice but overall just seemed distracted and not well experienced in using dip powder. He started by prying off my old color and the tips by using clippers and the drill bit, not by soaking my nails. My natural nail had grown out a little and I was hoping to keep some of the length but since they were all broken off during the removal process this was not an option for me anymore. I could have told him to stop doing the removal the way he was doing it, but that is his job and I trusted in that he knew what he was doing so I let him continue. He then went on to drilling off the remaining bits of dip powder left over sending dust everywhere. My hands and arms were covered in dust and grit the entire time I sat there without a towel or anything on the table for comfort or cleanliness. After he skipped over cleaning my 3 week old dry cuticles he started applying the new dip powder colors I picked out. I watched him use very large globs of what seemed like old chunky product, unevenly distributed it over my nails, dipping them into the powder, not tapping off/removing the excess, and then going straight to applying the next coat on essentially wet nails. This obviously caused my nails to become very thick and uneven in the end. Normally, the coats should be applied in layers over small sections starting from the tip of the nail up to the cuticle so that it creates even coverage. Not in one giant swipe over the entire nail every time for 3-4 coats. I actually asked if he could even them out because I didn't want them to be too thick so he did, but barely. At that point I was already aware I would be walking away with nails I did not like. After getting home I noticed my all of my cuticle areas were FLOODED with excess product from the amount of liquid base he was using with each coat. I even had to ask him to clip off a hard chunk that formed around one of my nails from the excess product. Overall, I'm very unhappy with my experience in the quality of my nails and will not be coming back to have them fixed or redone. My tech was working too quick, was easily distracted, seemed uninterested in the work he was doing, and was very abrasive with my natural nail surface. I shouldn't have to tell my nail tech how to do their job for the fact that they are a trained professional. I am not and I respect that. But I also shouldn't have to pay $54 for a "manicure" only to come home and spend an hour trying to clean it up myself and hating it for days until I find the time to get them redone somewhere else. read more

Found this gem over the weekend and wow was I surprised when I walked in! The plaza is pretty run down but next to a really good little diner (thatlittle restaurant). Inside is absolutely gorgeous! I went with a friend to get pedi's and the chairs are so super nice, comfy and a sensing massage system that senses where to massage and customizes to your body! Very nice and relaxing. The nail techs were so super nice and did a very good job. A standard pedi was 26 and I got the step up for 37 that included extra message and heel peeler. My toes look great and my feel feel so nice and soft!! read more

We are still in a pandemic and this place does not care about capacity or sanitizing after each client. I won't mention the lady who did my nails but she is definitely a person I charge and her performance was terrible. First she told me she couldn't do the design I wouldn't because she didn't have time. Then while she is doing my nail she's ask me to hold a magazine up to block her eyes while she does my cuticles. When queen nails first opened I loved it!!! Everyone one is super nice and sweet. The only thing is that everyone that has done my nails has cut me. There is a guy that works there no sure of his name that cuts me every time and no matter how many times I asked to not be seated with him ,I still get seated with him! He always stops my nails to take a phone call which is fine here and there you know life happens but every time is kind of annoying. He was always paying attention to his phone that he cut my nail way too short and cut my skin with the clippers. I have been there a few times and everytime they don't know what they are doing; No one answers the phone to make an appointment. Had to go in and was told they could take me now and ended up waiting for and hour and half. first strike, Next time came in for a pedicure, gave me someone that did not know what they were doing. (it hurt) Second strike, came in to have a nail fixed waited a half hour after i was told in would be a minute and they forgot i was sitting there. The gal that did the fix did not know what she was doing it took minutes to fix and she used bad gel which turned brown! I think the salon does a nice job on their nails but their customer service is questionable. Granted I've only been in a salon a couple of times but my experiences here were never one of my favorites. The first time I came with my friend. I didn't get any services but my friend got dips and the lady that was helping us cut my friend to the point she was bleeding and then preceded to paint over a cracked nail that the nail tech caused. I gave them another shot and came back a couple weeks later. I got a pedicure and my friend got a mani-pedi. The pedicures came out really pretty but not without some aches and pains. Furthermore, my friend wanted a specific design on her nails that wasn't too hard in my opinion and the nail tech ignored my friends remarks to correct the nail tech cause she was doing it wrong. Instead of the design my friend wanted, this manicure came with more bleeding just like the last visit we had here. I understand that we came about an hour before closing so they might have been rushing but it was definitely not an experience I liked. I'm going to a military ball in a few days and wanted my nails to look pretty so I got a pedicure and a set of acrylics. I'm not happy with how my nails looked leaving the salon. Kenny was doing my acrylics and dripped acrylic and liquid all over my fingers causing my skin to stick to the nail and leave my fingers looking like my skin is peeling. He also was going up the sides of my nails very high trying to make them narrow, he cut a few of my fingers in the process and then used cuticle nippers to remove a piece of skin from my thumb were he had cut. At that point I said I was done and wanted someone else, he passed me over to Kevin. I began crying from frustration and explained to Kevin what happened. (Kevin is very kind and always does a great job) He begins to fix my nails being very gentle and patient about the situation and calming me down. At this point it's an hour after closing because of how badly Kenny messed up my nails, the owner comes over and has Kevin get up from his chair before he was done and "finished" my nails for him, buffing them hard and fast, just trying to get me out the door. When I got up front to pay I asked the owner if she was told what happened, she said no and I began explaining, she said "what, you want a discount because of some cuts? Kevin fixed it for you". I told her no I was just letting her know what happened, she then told me to make an appointment with someone I liked if I didn't want that to happen.
