Young lady at Verizon store in Columbia MO immediately understood problem (apparently more than a few people experience this.) She was able to show us how to get past the different interface that occurs when Bixby Talkback in charge, and where to change settings to turn it off. They charged my credit card for a full year's service. I contacted them, requested a refund. They kept promising a refund, but it never arrived. The fellow there had failed to handle the return properly. This office on Broadway helped me out by accepting my paying off of the balance and crediting it back to me so that I could get my needed replacement. They didn't have to do that crediting. I did inform that other office of their mistake. When the hapless agent asked if there was anything else he could do, I resisted the urge to tell him to pay me out of his pocket, and instead simply said, "Nothing whatsoever." He understood.
