It's wireless, for gosh sakes! Honestly, we weren't expecting much but were very pleasantly surprised. For those of us living in rural areas of Missouri, with no access to fiber or coaxial cable service, Wave's wireless service is heaven sent. Wave would not sign us up for service unless it first determined through a "site survey" that the topology and distances would allow for sustainable service. We were told, because of the limitations of our location, we could expect at best 3Mbps service, which is what we subscribed for. . . that said, we regularly get 10Mps up and down. Only during brief periods of the heaviest rain do we get signal degradation. The service allowed us to work from home during the pandemic. Zoom and Team meetings work just fine. Streaming Netflix, Hulu, Amazon . . . perfect. The only extended downtime so far came after a bad storm with lightening damage on the radio tower to which we connect. Service was fully restored within 12 hours. Zach (the business owner) and his crew work seven days a week. (I know because I've reached Zach by phone on Sundays.) This is a locally owned business that has earned my loyalty and respect. BTW, we tried a well-known satellite business. The speeds were not great, and the latency was terrible. Streaming services buffered a lot. read more

The internet service they provide works as advertised, but when it comes to having and outage the support and communication is terrible. I am in the Festus area and when I had an outage did everything, they asked for me to do but always had to reach out to them to find out what was next, then would get could be few days before someone to get to me. Which is unacceptable when you depend on it for work. If you are going to be in the area you need support in the area. Then when cancelling I called to see when a check would be sent for service not used. they were unsure and could not give a timeframe when that might happen. Like I said product work but the customer service side leaves something to be desired. Also, I did have access to my account, but I am unable to access it now for notes and billing read more

We live in an area that had horrible internet service until we were told about Wave and started with them in November 2021. We are very pleased with the service, speed, and have referred family and friends to them. In the past internet outage or slow service was always a problem, costs kept increasing and we had used every option available to us prior to hearing about and signing on to Wave internet. All of those past issues are no more and the time or two that we have had a question, the staff at Wave are on it and get it taken care of immediately. They are unlike big companies who could care less about their customers. We highly recommend Wave internet service! read more

Wave Internet service and customer service have been horrible in the 9+ years we've been with this company. We were paying $100 per month for a 10 Mbps plan here in Vichy, MO, but only received around 7-8 Mbps on good days, and sometimes as low as 4 Mbps or no connection at all. They have an office in Rolla, MO, but customers are not allowed inside. The office is locked, and the woman working the drive-thru was extremely rude to my husband and refused to assist him, even though he was being polite. She told him he needed to call the Wave hotline and then call her, which makes absolutely no sense. Why even have an office in Rolla if you refuse to acknowledge a long-time paying customer in person? Whoever hired that woman -- or if she is the owner -- is a perfect example of why many people stop supporting small businesses. She refused to pull up our account or help in any way, and then seemed surprised that a customer was upset. Clearly, this company has no idea how to treat its customers. On top of that, $100 for a 10 Mbps plan that barely reaches 10 Mbps is way overpriced. If Wave Technologies refuses to interact with customers in person, they might as well close their Rolla, MO office. After years of being a good and loyal customer, we finally cancelled and switched to STARLINK, which now gives us 100-300 Mbps here in Vichy, MO for $120 per month. The employees here need to learn how to provide excellent customer service in order to create a memorable experience and foster customer loyalty. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WAVE TECHNOLOGIES AT ALL! read more

I've had wave internet since 2013. There customer service is very good, you are always treated as a valued customer, and are very concerned with getting any service connection problem, fixed promptly. When I went with Wave internet, it was because there were no other options in the area. Even though I now have alternatives, I like the way a small local company cares for their costumers, where a larger one wouldn't care if they keep your business or not. I highly recommend Wave internet! read more

Internet went down at 8:22 a.m. today (I know because this is the last time my outlook shows it was connected. Called the help desk which states weekend hours are 8 am to 6 pm on weekends, left a message, called back 30 min later and left another message, ultimately ended up calling 4 times - NOT ONE RETURN PHONE CALL. This is ridiculous - do not, I repeat, do not get this service read more

Worst customer service! When u talk to their technicians they always have an excuse as to why I keep losing internet never a solution. They have been to my house 3 times recently to reposition my antenna with same results! Suggested we cut down trees for better signal. If they are unable to get a good signal they should they should admit that! I have lost so much time from work! I would never recommend this internet provider! If I could give it a minus I would! read more

I needed some assistance from Wave internet to accomplish some work that I needed to complete for my home studio. The company only operates on line and everything is done by downloads. I was able to do most of them but there were about 40 files that ranged from 4 GB to 50 GB. I was too far into this program to abandon it. So I contacted Wave and asked if they could assist me. They did I am very grateful. Thanks Again Guys!!! read more

Horrible. Don't use. They told us they had service at our address. And we didn't and they still charged this. Ridiculous. Hopefully the FCC can straighten this out. read more

I have used this internet provider for several years now and I have been very pleased with their service and technical support. I have never had any major problems until Sunday. My internet service went out and I called them and we worked together on the phone to try to get it working but they ended up working outside on the tower in the single digit temperatures the last two days and finally got my internet working again. I was so thankful! Nancy Gordon read more

We completely regret ever doing business with them. They tell you they have Internet at our address, and it doesn't work to actually run anything. You go back-and-forth with them for months while they're charging you, then they try to upsell you to actually get any kind of Internet at all. We ended up with the highest speed they offered, and the best most expensive equipment to run it on, and it still didn't work, And they refused to waive the disconnection fee. We are waiting to hear back from the owner, because Nikki, the office manager, said she would be talking with him about it. And if they continue to refuse to waive the disconnect fee of $200 for a service they are not able to provide, we will have to report them to the Better Business Bureau. The person who answered the phone in the office was rude, so I asked to speak with the manager, Nikki, who informed me that she is the final say on everything and she is not going to wave the fee. Bottom line, if a company cannot provide the service they sell you, the very least they can do is waive the fee to disconnect. We've been paying well over $100 a month for a service that does not work. We should have read the reviews before going into a contract with them. Looks like they do this to everyone. read more

Horrendous internet provider. Basically impossible for us to get ahold of anyone if we have issues and when we do they are very rude. We are constantly having outages for hours or even a full day at a time. We are paying a high monthly price for a speed that our service has never even come close to reaching, resulting in us only being able to have only one or two devices connected at a time and still having spotty and buffering feedback. We intend to switch providers as soon as we can even if it means eating the rest of the yearly contract. read more

We have had Wave Internet for about a year. It awesome. We are in a very rural location and could previously only get satellite internet...which is horrible!! We can finally stream YouTube and Netflix and the kids can game with their friends! read more

First let me say that I love supporting local businesses. This is Rolla's only locally-owned and operated Internet Service Provider. And it just gets better. The prices beat Fidelity and other compition in the area when compared to their plans and speed. And the customer service is hands down the best I have ever had. If there ever is an issue, you almost always speak to the owner and the response time is fantastic. I know in the past two days the wind has been around 30 miles an hour. On the news most other internet service providers were having major disruptions all over the state. However, Wave Internet did not have any issues. read more

Great customer service which turned into great technical service. We have 8" of snow on the ground right now and these guys made the service call to take care of our antenna issue within an hour. Back to 100% now. Thank you Wave Internet! read more

I am visiting family from my home on a secluded island where internet there is understandably spotty since its in the middle of the freaking ocean. Wave Computers is in the middle of the U. S. and the worse internet that I have ever seen (almost as bad as dial up). On a daily basis we experience very low speeds and often aren't even able to stream a tv show. We've contacted the company numerous times and have not gotten any responses. We even have the "upgraded" service. Wave computers is a joke of an Internet company with horrible customer service. Looking at the few reviews I am shocked at any decent reviews, even makes me leery... read more

This is by far the worst internet service I have ever had. Very intermittent service, sporadic, unreliable. We intend to cancel soon and go back to Hughes net, which is a shame because it is far from satisfactory. So sad to say that there is an Internet service provider worse than Hughesnet, but Wave has accomplished that feat handily. I feel like I am being ripped off every time I pay my exorbitant monthly fee. Way too much money, way lousy service. read more

Great Service. Wonderful people to work with. Much cheaper than other service available. Would I recommend Wave Internet Tech. ABSOLUTELY! read more

The person who gave 5 stars and a great (and a very-far-from-reality) comment must be the owner or someone who benefits from that business because it is literally the WORST internet connection I have ever had! So, let me start by saying that I also like to support local business, but not when they completely rip you off and totally rely on the fact that they pretty much have monopoly in the area! These guys boast "high-speeds" and compare them to DIAL-UP! Really??! This is 2016...not 1995...dial-up is no longer an indicator for anything... The prices are absolutely ridiculous for the packages! For comparison, I've had Fidelity for about 3 years before moving to my current location. I've had Fidelity's slowest package which is 25 MEGA-bps for $30 a month...now with Wave, I'm paying $40 for 0.5 Mgbs...their 6Mgbs (which is still a tiny fraction of Fidelity's sloweeeessssttttt speed) is like $300 a month!! An absolute rip-off! It's not even wired internet!! They have no poles to maintain. It's wireless! And, the worst part is that THEY WILL SLOW YOU DOWN! As if 0.5Mbps isn't slow enough, they unethically slow me down to 0.1Mbps! This is a reason to disconnect (or sue) of course. Only they are the only non-satellite option in this area...They know it, and that's why they take advantage of their customers (especially those who aren't very tech-savvy and don't know that they are being ripped off)! My suggestion is to NOT connect and stay internet-free for awhile (until other SENSIBLE options are available). You might think that slow Internet is better than none, but I promise you that after connecting through them, you will feel like you're paying for no internet anyway... BE WARN! (oh, yea, and I'm writing this comment on my phone through my cellular network because right now my internet speed is about 0 bps.......and have been for a few days now). read more

Worked ok for about 2wks now it takes us 1hr to watch a 30 min show . We even have the 3 mg package for 108. Dollars not worth it . We've notified support and they act like everything is running ok . Will not recommend to anyone not worth the hassle. My 3G I phone works better on the internet read more

Absolute CRAP!! Satelitte has to be better than this! I have to pay $55 for 1mbps and yet I NEVER get even that speed. I run several speed tests and get .6 .5 .8 on a really good day. It is often as low as .05!!! Just awful. I call and they blame something here. Well, even after numerous resets it is still pathetic. Finally they do something and suddenly I am getting 1mbps again for a couple of weeks? So, are they throttling me down or what? read more

Terrible service, they tell you that there service will work to get you to sign a contract, then your stuck with terrible internet that does not allow you do do anything. Forget online classes, Xbox, Netflix or amazon! None of it will work. It will continually kick you off and it will take 2 hours to watch a 30 minute video! They will refuse to cancel your service to line there pockets! read more
