Had a issue with my internet, Gentleman named Evan out of the St. Roberts office identified several issues from no grounding, no outside box, also found my modem was 12 years old. He did a excellent job fixing everything and my internet is running very good, better than it did.. Evan was very professional and communicated the problems and his plan to correct all of it. Thank you Evan Cable America Appreciate this employee!! Kevin Forshey read more

We switched to Cable America in November of 2023. We were given a timeline of 2-4 weeks to have the new cables buried in our yard. It is now mid April of 2024 and our cables are still exposed. We have lost count of the phone calls made to resolve this issue. Today I was told that there is a Manager researching the delay. We were told this 3-4 weeks ago. When I asked when the Manager would give us a date for the cable to be buried I was told to give it another week. I do not recommend Cable America, unless you enjoy being given the run around and having a hazard in your yard for months! read more

Cableamerica - Exposed cable - Internet Service Providers Near Me

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Never had so many problems with an internet service before. Not only did they not mention that the company name changed and is now SparkLight, but they also failed for inform us that their rates changed and for MONTHS we payed almost double for a service that apparently doesn't exist anymore. With this company, prepare to experience TONS of outages. Now I am currently dealing with updating my router/modem (we have to call and add it to our account) and when we finally reached tech support (took almost an hour because there was a high volume of phone calls because of course there was an outage), they stated they could not help us because they do not have access to the "cable America" accounts yet since the name change and that we would have to reach out to someone in tech support that represents cable America. So now we're actively trying to get ahold of someone from cable America who can help us but of course we are stuck listening to elevator music for what seems to be an eternity. read more

I strongly encourage Cable America to work on its communication with its customer service base. If you have planned outages due to maintenance then there needs to be notifications send out via text or email. This would likely improve your incoming calls with questions and the loss of customers. read more

Absolute garbage service. Avoid like the plague. Customer service is terrible, internet service is out more than on and the only consistent thing about this company is the outrageously high bill for this nearly nonexistent service. Ever since Sparklight took over, it's gotten worse. If you want internet, go elsewhere. It'll be slower, but slower speed is better than nothing at all. read more

Would give less than one star if possible! Constantly going out, and when it's working it's still not great. I pay $100 a month for terrible wifi.... Unfortunately, it's the only thing the area. read more

Internet service has been CONSISTENTLY bad for the last 6 months. I cannot download anything on my cell phones, connected to the WIFI, without turning on airplane mode then off again. Completely unacceptable. I have called 5 times with 3 house calls. Last rep said "did all I can". need to fix the reliability of the internet. Eric Bulmer read more

This is the worst internet I've ever had to use. the first year I had it under cable America it was ok. I wasn't experiencing outages like others have. but now until recently when they rebranded to sparklight, I got absolutely shafted. The change completely ruined everything pay wise. I had to pay over double what I paid for a month because of their screw up. The only thing I can count on from them is unreliable, if I get it at all, internet. I'm better of using my phones hotspot. They are lucky they are the only "good" option in the area because what I'm paying is not translating to te service I am receiving. read more

So we had have our internet disconnected because even know I had paid the amount it had told me to pay they took off the internet and could not wait 5-8 days for me to pay it off. I then called yesterday to pay it and nothing that they have to come and do the cable stuff until next week Wednesday. I'm still on it right now but I recommend even spectrum at this point. The service they offer is horrible. If I can give it half a star I could. read more

I had their 1Gig internet (the fastest they offer) installed on 5/20/24 in the St. Robert, MO area. It worked great for about two days and now has been absolutely unusable since then. I can barely open an email or any webpages, and you can forget about trying to use it for online gaming. I called about the issue after the second day of it essentially not working and was given the run around of how they have been "working on it for four days" and have no estimate when it will be fixed. The pricing seemed too good to be true and I think I am starting to see why as this appears to be a norm judging from other reviews. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. Internet is constantly out in Linn, MO. I am currently going on day 4 with no internet. The longest outage was a week. But don't worry, they sure take out that payment every month on time! read more

Anthony Veasman, Tech 287, came out to identify what the issue was with my internet. He went above and beyond going through the items causing my outage. He explained everything in detail and I was told that a follow up would and it was. Appreciate it. read more

Our tech was Evan, Tech 242. He was super helpful and ensured that everything was working properly before he left.

There is nothing quite like working a 12 hour shift, coming home after receiving multiple messages about your internet being down when you pay a fair chunk of money to have said internet. Only to find that the excuse customer service provided is the same one they provided a week ago or maybe it was the week before that. It was probably both considering how often you have to call them. The excuse being they are "upgrading their services" and admitting that they purposely have taken down the internet for the last 4 days. That alone is enough to warrant a 0-star review however the internet came back before I arrived home with an entire 0.15mbs download speed which is far less than the speed it was getting before they "upgraded". Given I have never actually gotten the full speed I pay for each month, and they never compensate you for lost internet even if it's for weeks at a time of constant outages. To summarize This is not worth the headache, time, and surely not the money they expect you to pay for a service you only occasionally receive. Honestly save your money don't use this garbage. read more

DirecTV cut Cable America's line! After moving to Fort Leonard Wood, I ordered Cable America for internet and DirecTV (Sunday Ticket) for TV. Cable America came out first and set up the internet with no problems. The installer wasn't anything special but did the job. A few days later, DirecTV came out and set up my television. After the installer left, I realized my internet no longer worked. I went outside where he was working and found a cable cut, splitter removed and left on the ground, and a tag that said Cable America drop also left on the ground. I called DirecTV and explained what happened, but they acted like I was crazy and one of their installers would not cut cable America's line. They continued to pass me off to other departments and in the end, said they would call me back when they could get someone out as all appointments were booked. I then called Cable America and they sent out someone immediately on a Friday night. He verified that their cable was cut, took pictures of the cut Cable America products, and had us up and running at no charge. The technician was Chris #256. He was very polite and apologized for the interruption which was clearly not their fault. Overall, I was very impressed with Cable America and disgusted with DirecTV. In fact, DirecTV still has not called to rectify their screw up. Overall, 5 stars for Cable America and zero stars for DirecTV! Thank you Cable America and our emergency technician (Chris #256). read more

There are not a lot of options in Waynesville/St. Robert but stay away from them. $84/month and you get to call about every week asking when the internet will be up. You will never see a credit for the days you are without internet but they will take your money each month without question. Customer service is terrible, always already knows there's an issue but doesn't know what exactly and never knows how long it will take to be fixed. Wouldn't waste tour time calling it literally does nothing for you. read more

So I called to inquire on why bill suddenly went up and was treated very rude. The lady that I spoke to in the billings section was unprofessional and was unable to explain in details why my bill was more than i usually pay. Now she reminded me that I'm on a promotional package until June so why am I being charged extra. The only reason why I have not switch my service provider is due to the fact that I need the internet for my classes. But I will be making that switch very soon. read more

Customer service is the worst and I couldn't get a technician to show up for anything.

Don't waste your money. If I could give less than one star I would. I pay $55/mo for garbage internet that is always out or ridiculously slow. They seem unwilling to improve their service and don't particularly care because the only competition in the area is just as bad and the same price. Pay for a good cell company with mobile hotspot. Itll get you a lot farther than this. read more

You are better off taking the money you will spend on this unreliable internet provider and actually pay someone to come entertain you in person. I have never been more frustrated with a service(or lack there of) in my life. It seems everyone has this issue. I recommend that no one even considers this company. I'm disgusted in my decision to go with this company and even when it works I am still upset because I know in 30 minutes it won't for the next 4 hours. CABLE AMERICA NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN AND REFUND EVERY CUSTOMER THE MONEY THEY HAVE WASTED PAYING THEIR BILLS. GROSS! read more

Over priced and hard to work with. Unfortunately only ISP to work with in the area. If there was another option I'd go. Constant outages.

Had to call another THREE times since my last review only 2 weeks ago. They have done nothing to help me any of the times. They aren't even apologetic and almost sound annoyed that I'm calling because their service is out... again. The customer service reps for the most part are some of the most rude people I've even met. We pay $70 a month for internet and it has outages all the time still even when I'm the only one playing. I even got an ethernet cable so I would have a good enough connection to securely play my game. Please, please, please don't fall into the trap and buy from this company. They are the worst thing ever... read more

If I could rate this with less than a star, I absolutely would. Their customer service is practically nonexistent as no one answers the phone and during the rare chance that they do, you often get hung up on. The internet is subpar if you're lucky but most often you're constantly having to reconnect or go hours without. With how crappy the internet and service is, there should be a discount on the bill. As one of the only internet and cable service providers in the area, CableAmerica NEEDS TO DO BETTER. read more

Rude customer service. When it came time to disconnect I set up an appointment with them for a certain date. Needless to say they took it upon themselves to come a week early and disconnect my internet a week early. When I called to report the problem, they offered zero solutions for their mistakes. Only that I could pay another start up fee for them to come out the following week. Recommend you get the persons name on the phone so you don't get screwed over when you set up a disconnect bill. read more

The Internet connection that this company provides is the worst I've ever had. I linked my main computer with a cable and it still takes forever to open webpages if it does it at all. Video streaming is horrible as well. It's constantly buffering. Only thing is there aren't any other internet providers out here that I have found. If you are in the Fort Leonard Wood area steer clear of this company. read more

Worst cable service provider ever, and I've used several across the years. Will not refund for any outages no matter how long they last. Refuses to fix their issues so that you consistently have down time. The only other provider in the area is not very good either, but maybe they will be better than dealing with this mess. read more

Terrible connection and i live pretty much in the middle of town. I will be switching to another company asap

Cable America is a horrible company from the products they sell to the management team running it. I called to cancel my internet service on the day that I left (the 25th of May). I call because my internet is out and I'm informed that they disconnected me on the 19th instead. I confirmed at least three times that I would have internet until the 25th and that I was paying the pro rated amount for that day. No warning, no phone call, no communication at all just cut off my internet early with no explanation. Representatives I talked to about it had no idea what to do or say, which I don't blame them for because this is an absolutely ridiculous mistake, now leaving me with no internet 6 days before I move to Korea. Cable America just made a stressful move a whole lot more stressful and they couldn't care any less. They can't call a manager on the weekend and can't send a representative to fix it until The day before I leave so they have successfully set me up for failure. The actual internet connection, by the way, is terrible and way overpriced too. It doesn't reach through the entirety of a small 2 bedroom apartment, so don't bother trying to stream anything in your bedroom. You pay a lot of money for sketchy, weak service and that goes for the customer service reps too. So disappointed that of all things the internet provider I chose just screwed me over. I don't usually post reviews but telling the world about how awful Cable America is, is worth the phone data that I now have to use sparingly for the next week thanks to them. read more

Constant outages. Constant outages. Constant outages. You call and they make you troubleshoot and offer to send a tech out the next day. Then check and find there is an outage. Out a month, the internet is probably down at least 3-5 times I notice, usually for 2-8 hours-- at least once for the entire weekend in the last six months. The technician never actually makes it-- just never shows-- and of course the internet eventually comes back on. I have never gotten a refund and its 60 dollars a month. They spam me to buy cable which I have zero interest in. Oh and make sure you pay attention. 60 dollars is the introductory rate-- after one year it will skyrocket (to 100 I think). The most fun is seeing how the phone networks slow done to a creep when CableAmerica internet goes down-- at least I know I am in good company in my misery. Just say no. It would have taken a month and 100 dollars to have Centurylink run to my house. In retrospect, I would have done it rather than deal with these jokers. read more

Way over priced and hard to work with. 59.99 for 6mbs down is way more then local DSL we get 10 down only 39.99 now. TV is also high just not as bad. I called last Monday to set up TV threw them was told they had to come out and make sure they could hook it up to the building. On Thursday I called back to find out that we can have cable TV. They came out Saturday to tell us sorry we can't do it and are not sure when we could connect you. Wasted a whole week and sounded more like they just didn't want to connect it because of the work. Talked to our neighbors and they have had similar issues with them. Sorry I usually like cable of dish but this time dish won. read more

I'm in Army at Fort Leonard Wood MO. I have lived all over with many different cable and internet providers. They are by far the worst. You call for help with your service not working, they give no cares. They don't even try to help you. They just tell you that's the way it is and don't even offer any solutions to the problems. They really don't care since there is no others providers to go to. You are better off just using your iPad or what not as a hotspot. Awful service and even worse customer service. read more

Customer service is severely lacking with this company. Internet is out more often than it is up, outages last for hours with rude responses.
