DO NOT GO HERE TO GET ITEMS ALTERED! This was my first time ever getting anything altered so I…read morepicked this place because it had pretty good reviews and word of mouth for my bridesmaids dress for my sisters wedding. The first time I go there, I ask to have the hem of my dress moved up so it doesn't drag, the slit of my dress lowered so my whole leg isn't out, and the waist brought in because it was too big. I drop it off and take my receipt. I come back a week later, get my dress, pay and try it on and the waist was never brought in. I go back and I give them my receipt and even though I was within the 10 days, they would not adjust for free because it wasn't written down on the receipt originally but they will give me a 50% discount to get the waist brought in. So I figure okay, maybe I should have checked the receipt for my services no biggie that's my bad I'll just pay again. I get remeasured and drop my dress off again for my waistband to be made smaller like I asked originally. They messed up my zipper so bad where my dress looks like absolute crap. The zipper and the fabric are all bunched up and it is difficult to zip and unzip my dress. If you look closely at all the work done on my dress this place is a scam. The 3 inches where the slit of my dress was re-sewn is falling out. They seem like such nice people too. DO NOT go here to get altered!! Please go somewhere else!!!!

I recently lost a lot of weight, so I have been replacing all my clothes. I buy Tall sizes to fit a longer torso, but then all pants need to be shortened due to my shorter legs. I feel fortunate to find someone who does such beautiful work on all my brand new clothing. The owner who has done my fittings has a gentle smile. Although she is soft spoken and a woman of few words, she isn't ever rude. If she was an extrovert, she might choose another line of work -- as a top notch seamstress, she is kept very busy in a quiet setting working her magic independently. My only hesitation in offering this recommendation is that this business 'Perfect Fit' will continue growing and become in such great demand that I will have to get a very long line for the best service anywhere. Still and always, this work will be worth the wait! Well done, ladies!!! ~ Leslie Simmons, Columbia, Mo

She has a quiet demeanor, but she is kind, professional, and her work speaks volumes. I'm quite picky (and admittedly awkward about my requests), yet she consistently understands what I want and delivers flawlessly. Having lived in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York, and New Orleans, I can say she's one of the best seamstresses I've known--second only to my grandmother, who also owned a seamstress shop. Yes, her prices might be on the higher side, but the results are always perfect. Over the years, I've given her some quirky requests, and she nails them every time. Even when I'm in a rush, she's accommodating and always kind. I've referred friends and my own mother to her, and they share my admiration. Her craftsmanship is impeccable, and she is truly professional.

I had such an amazing experience with Buchroeder's!…read more Before this time that I purchased jewelry, I had only been to Buchroeder's once, with a friend who was shopping and I had felt intimidated by all the beautiful stock since I wasn't the one who was shopping, but this second time I visited the store was so different. My fiance and I were browsing around the front display cases when one of the jewelry consultants, Sara S. came up and greeted us. Sara was so warm and genuine and had such a bright smile and she immediately made an effort to get to know me, rather than to get to know what my price range was. I didn't feel any pressure to buy, Sara just made me feel comfortable and made an effort to get to know my style. She showed me some gorgeous Sapphire rings (exactly what I asked for) and then when they weren't quite right, but she could tell they were getting closer to my style, she took me to a case with diamond ring settings and pulled one out that she seemingly pulled from my brain! She seemed to have understood my style from our short 20 minutes together and found the perfect one for me. It didn't have a Sapphire set into it yet, but she showed me how it could be customized to be exactly what I wanted. She assured me every single step of the way that she would not let me get this ring unless I absolutely loved it. She prepared an estimate of the price for me with genuine and lab-created Sapphires as soon as I asked for it, and gave me an estimation of how long everything would take to arrive and set and size if we ordered it, but Sara never put any pressure on us to order that day. She made herself available by email and text and phone and she kept in excellent contact with me about the ring in the following days, sharing pictures with me (I was so entranced with it, I forgot to take a single photo while I was there!) and answered all of my questions. She was so patient. I probably emailed her back and forth 10 times in 4 days. She gave me her honest opinion and assessment of the quality and value and my fiance and I were back in there 4 days later to purchase the ring. Over the course of the 4 days of emailing, I asked her to order the Sapphires and they literally took less than 1 DAY to arrive. On the day that we came in to purchase the ring, they showed us the Sapphires and the setting again and confirmed all the pricing with tax. This time, my fiance had brought in his mother's engagement ring (with her blessing) to see if trading it in toward part of the purchase price was an option. The owner himself, Mills, came out to speak with us and explained the process of how depending on the style of a ring it might be worth a certain amount altogether, whereas other rings might be just worth the value of the gold and diamond(s) they are made from. Mills carefully took the time to look over our ring and was able to give us the value of part of the ring toward our new purchase (and gave us back the diamond we decided not to sell), which we really appreciated and did not expect since it was an older ring and not in the current style. Sara and Mills also took care to explain the financing options to us. They were so thorough about it, they were still explaining things to us after the store closed and they other consultants were putting the jewels around us in the safe for the night! It was such an amazing feeling to have so much attention and care paid to us! After purchasing they estimated the ring would take only 2 days to set and be polished and ready to be picked up (which is so fast as it is) but it was again only 1 day later and I had my amazing engagement ring on my finger! My fiance had to pick up the ring the next day while I was at work, so I wasn't there, and apparently Sara wasn't working that day either, so she texted me the next afternoon to congratulate me on my ring and say that she wished she had been there to see me get it in person and to check that it fit just perfectly. That extra attention is really what makes such a difference in this local business and what I would recommend so much about Buchroeder's. My fiance and I made sure to go back a few days later to purchase their insurance plan, (Sara had left a pamphlet for us with the ring box) because it is an excellent deal with no deductible(!) and offers full repair or replacement for mysterious loss (which is basically my biggest nightmare now). My fiance and I are now in the process of working with Sara to order HIS wedding ring and I absolutely LOVE working with her. She has been emailing us additional info about what metals he can choose from and pricing and she is just so thorough. Sara S. is the ideal jewelry consultant (as I am sure everyone is at Buchroeder's) and it seems everyone there is willing to go the extra mile (or 7 or 8!) to make your experience perfect. I just wish I could afford more jewels so I could shop there more!

So I go in, talk to the desk employee about what I want and give them one of the old cards to base it off. He says that it will take a few days to make a proof and he'll email me a quote then. The email comes in and the price is okay so I give them the go ahead and ask when it will be done. No reply. Okay, whatever they said they would call when it was done. Flash forward a week and a half later, I haven't heard anything and I decide to call because I kinda do need them soon. I call and an employee picks up. He asks the company name. I have to repeat myself 5 times before he goes "Okay, let me go check the system". He puts me on hold for about 2 minutes and then picks the phone to tell me that he's not seeing an order. I start to tell him I'm a bit confused because I received the quote via email and he cuts me off saying that his boss is in a meeting and he'll call me back. He almost hangs up on me but stops when I start giving him my contact info. He supposedly writes it down and then promises that his boss will call me soon. This was at 3:30 pm and they close at 5 so I figured I'd either get a call around 4 or not at all. I was right! I didn't get a call that day and had to explain to my boss that I didn't know when or if . My boss and I both went into this situation with a "what can go wrong" attitude, it's pretty obvious that we were too optimistic. They did send it about an hour later... and seemly from what I received, I can only assume that everything I said went in one ear and out the other.
