Holly Alterations had it done quickly and did a great job! Not only that, they were very honest in directing my husband not to bother with the tapering he requested, as it would have been only 1/4 of an inch, and not that much difference (they could have let us go through with it getting our money for the job, but they were honest in their assessment of the request!). Also, when we picked up our items I asked their recommendation of where to find a special button for a cardigan I had at home. They pointed me in the direction of JoAnn's but asked me to wait a moment while one of them headed to the back. She came back with a jar of buttons similar to the one I was looking for, and found one. She gave it to me at no charge.
