I read great reviews describing Dr. Menghani's expertise and personal performance; and one complaint about his outdated furnishing. My first visit confirmed I want this man operating on my eyes. Cataract surgery is increasingly common today. There is nothing "common" when considering eyesight. I learned everything I wanted to know about options to be considered for my eyes. I am 75 and this was my first surgery. My next technical visit measured and detailed how my eyes and conditions fit each of those available options. Dr. Menghani thoroughly explained why my first option (multi focus lens) was not best for me eyes-I needed slight correction in one eye. We completed first eye surgery. Beautiful! Very satusfied-both doctor and me. I was so comfortable that I wanted to explore multi vision on the second eye. The wife says don't be silly. We agreed to rely on Dr. Menghani. After thorough remeasuring and evaluating results of completed surgery we all agreed-the new conditions were perfect for my unusual request. While trimming a tree in my yard, I experienced a freak accident involving chemical burning to my eye. I was fortunate to be seen by Dr. Menghani on short notice and on a Friday. His office staff was helpful in getting me in quickly as I was in a lot of pain. After a thorough exam of my eye by the doctor, I was happy to learn that I had avoided serious or permanent damage. Over the weekend I became panicky when my vision in the injured eye became blurred. So when I dialed his office number on a Saturday night and left a message, I was very pleasantly surprised to get a call back from Dr. Menghani himself. He did a great job of assuring me that my blurred vision was only temporary and a normal reaction to my prescribed eye drops. He calmly explained how to treat my condition with a simple over the counter eye lubricant drops. I was referred by my ipa to Dr. Menghani for cataracts. I met him for the first time in August 2017 and had my surgeries in September and October. I have had many before and after appointments with him and I cannot say enough good things about him. He is very busy but has always managed to make me feel comfortable and never rushed. He has the best staff ever, they are all very kind and helpful. Dr. Menghani told me today that my eyes were doing very well and I wouldn't need to go back to him for a year. Dr. Menghani is down to earth and very knowledgable. His office is very no frills but the level of care is excellent. I was dealing with a wide variety of symptoms for months and Dr. Menghani was able to diagnose me with uveitis and give me treatment on my first appointment. When my treatment ended, my condition rebounded and I started to rapidly lose vision. I was able to get an urgent appointment in just a day. Dr. Menghani is leaving no stone unturned. Was recomended by my retina specialist. As apprehensive as I am with anything to do with my eyes, I had cateracts in both which needed to be removed. The compassion and empathy from the Dr. and his staff really helped, along with the education of what was going on and what was needed, including what happens post-op. I needed surgeries for each eye, and it was a great experience at the Long Beach surgery center. The staff made me comfortable, the surgery itself was quick and efficient, and I left feeling like they really cared about my comfort and understanding of the procedure. Just an outstanding doctor with a great personality. He patiently describes everything and his knowledge is thorough and current. This is reflected in the new equipment he purchased recently. Last time I had been in for a checkup, I had to have my eyes dilated. Not anymore. It was a pleasant surprise to me because I live alone and drive myself to the appointment. While not a huge inconvenience to get your eyes dilated, it makes a huge difference not to have to have it done. Additionally, his staff is very helpful--his assistant is extremely personable and so is the staff at the front desk. I don't normally leave reviews, but for him, I am. I had a visit today. He's being my ophthalmologist for the last 3 years. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He knows his job very well. He is also very nice and respectful. I thank God for having such a nice Dr. He had helped me with dry eyes problem. He always hasa a solution to my symptoms telling me how I can improve my eye dryness by doing simple things at homeband by prescribing the best eye drops that are in the market. Dr. Ravi Menghani is amazing! I was accidentally hit in the eye by my three year old who packs quite a punch. I started to notice a bright flashing light in the corner of my eye. I called the Quantum Eye Group office and Dr. Menghani immediately recognized that this could have been a retinal emergency. He met me after hours in the office as an urgent case and scanned my eye with a large device (he has a very high tech office). He found a retinal hole and no detachment (very good news!). I went to the ER this Sunday where they did an ultrasound of my eye and told me that I might have a retinal detachment. They contacted Dr. Menghani and he was really kind to see me Monday morning. After several exams he concluded that I don't have a retina detachment and scheduled an appointment for me in a retina doctor on the same day.
